Nexus One Launcher in the Market

If you want the nexus one launcher and you are running 2.1
Look for "Helix Launcher" in the market....it is free and can have up to seven screens. Just hit menu, and configure up to seven screens. I just downloaded and it looks pretty sweet so far.
I’ve heard from both 2.0.1 rooted and nonrooted users as being able to see this in the market.Please let me know if you can’t. If you have a rooted Android 2.0.1 device and can’t see this app, there is a simple hack you can do to make 2.1 apps viewable and then downloadable in the market. *

WOW this is amazing makes my phone perfect!

That's what I was thinking.....with DamageControl it is ridiculously amazing!!!!!!

has anyone else played with this yet? i like it alot... very good idea imo, it also goes sideways at the homescreen and still looks good (unlike GDE)

I am assuming this has to be ran on the standard home, not Sense UI?

i would commit to running this 100% of the time if i could get my htc widgets from Sense, including the clock (yes i know about beautiful widgets and i dont like it)... i really would like the widget to disable mobile network as well

No I just realized that it does not use the clock or bookmark Widgets that I like.....but I might be able to find replacement Widgets in the market that would suffice.
Being able to have seven screens, rotate sideways on the home screen, and have five icons going up and down....is a huge plus.
I'm loving this so far and its free...LOL.

and now im eating my words with beautiful widgets... but i cant get the version i have (the one before thy changed it to not look like sense) to download weather animations...

so the newest "weather widgets (yr.no)" in the market is awesome... it looks like the sense clock and when you tap the clock it takes you to the default (sense) clock application...
ps: it's free in the market
Edit: but the weather widgets one wont go sideways without screwing up (unlike Beautiful widgets)... damn
Edit: #2 i now have the old beautiful widgets clock (like sense) and the weather animations working... if anyone wants to know how shoot me a PM since i dont want to post Warez

i highly doubt LWP will work with this for the same reasons it wont work with sense (wasnt designed for seven screens)

odd.. it says 7 screens and LWP supported..
EDIT: on home screen.. press menu and configure.. you can adjust the screen amount up to 7.. I still cant get LWP to load..

i guess i didnt read that part...
I stand corrected, but untill a dev gets LWP working correctly with our hacked up 2.1 roms (or the official 2.1 comes out) then we wont have LWP anyways, even if it's supported

iono i still think sense is just to feature packed compared to the standard home for me to wanna give up sense

and the only thing that sense has on this is special widgets...

Yea, this is pretty feature packed as well....def not like plain Jane vanilla HOME.
I am finding things to replace the "special widgets" and gaining more space. Its pretty hot.
Either witch way....its fun to check out, and best of all free!!!!

the only widget id love to keep is the full calendar.... i dont use everything else... maybe the bookmark one thats about it...

Im digging this launcher. I just found out about the extra icon slots next to the launcher button. Allows more Icons on the home page and the four on the bottom follow from screen to screen. Very nice. Thanks.

cuz i thot adw didnt work on sense

Its a launcher. Once you select this as your launcher you cannot use sense (widgets) unless off course you just switch back your launcher to htc sense.

still has sense frameworks, so still running **** in the background. i havnt noticed much, maybe a little less battery usage

take an icon from your app drawer, drag it to the main body of your background, then drag the icon to the launcher and drop.

What widgets are those btw? Beautiful or some others? Forgive my ignorance, my EVO arrives tomorrow and it'll be my first Android device, just trying to compile a list of all the stuff I wanna try and I certainly like the overall look you've put together w/ADW and that stuff. Love the wallpaper too btw, I've got the very same one in rotation w/others on my desktop, heh.

beautiful widgets for the time/weather & the vibrate widget.
es task manager is the task killer icon on the right of the battery widget.
battery widget is "batterylife" by curvefish in the app market.

unfortunately not.
smooth calendar, or android agenda widget is a good replacement for the htc agenda with some more customizable options.
beautiful widgets is another good replacement for the htc clock. with many types of skins.
the bookmarks im not to sure. never use them personally. if i did i would just use the android bookmark "shortcuts"

does this use less battery life and/or memory than say stock sense?

one thing that i noticed is when you turn on your screen and then drag down to unlock, the wallpaper will shift downward as well. is there a fix to this?
i am going to have to dump adw if there isn't a fix for this.. it drives me up the wall.

If you have the device held horizontally its going to do that. If that is what you are talking about. Not a glitch.

I like the RAB and LAB buttons. Very useful.
I have the LAB as Phone (to make calls) and RAB as a folder.
The problem is I cannot add/remove apps from the folder.
I initially created the folder on the desktop, added about 10 apps to it then dragged it to the RAB. Excellent. I have access to those 10 apps almost 90% of the time.
Problem is I cannot add a new app shortcut to that folder.
Is there a way to undock/shift the folder from RAB back to desktop to add app shortcuts then back to RAB?
Because I tried adding an app shortcut to the folder by dragging it from desktop to RAB but that app got registered as the bew RAB and I lost the folder. Had to redo it all over.

[RESURRECTED] Fancy Widget (Sense-Like Clock for any rom) Mods/Themes

Posted for those who didnt know about it or didnt save the apk.
It should be noted that I had nothing to do with the development of this app, just modifiying it a bit. Please dont ask me about bugs or anything. If it doesnt work for you, it probably never will because its not being developed anymore.
For those who like the sense clock, but are running vanilla, here is a pretty clock for you (request colors if you want to).
I removed the background on one, seems to blend nicer with backgrounds and stuff imo
You used to be able to get this in the market (just the stock black one), but htc sent a c&d to the creator, figured we shouldnt let it die just yet!

definately no screen effects
just a clock with weather
you can set actions for tap on clock, date and weather by tapping on the clock (since it isnt assigned by default, the weather is) or by the fancy widget icon in your app drawer

if somebody could figure out a way to put the blackcashmere skin from beautiful widgets onto this, i would love them forever. I tried myself, but I haven't had to resign an apk since my g1 days and don't remember anything about it.

file swap came up with this, will have to dig deeper tomorrow to mess with sizing, placement, etc

but my Acid clock was a hit on the TOUCH PRO 2 / HD2
as well as the ZuneHD clock, which i ported over to Beautiful Widgets and is available through the widget for download
but i can port it over for Fancy Widget
I vote that we as a community keep Fancy widget alive for modding, its the easiest and closest way to modding the HTC clock.
I do not know why mine always shows the sun at night rather than the moon though . . .

i really like the first one "dots" looks just awesome retro

What can I say but ABSOLUTELY amazing. I've been looking all over for a nice clock widget because I love the Sense one. So, thanks to anyone who had their hands in this.

Fancy Widgets

Havent seen much talk about fancy widgets in a longgggg time so here we go. Its an amazing app, the clock looks just like the sense ui weather/clock. You can use launcher pro plus to get the calender and facebook/twitter widgets and then use this for your clock/weather on stock vanilla android and have all the looks of htc sense but the performance of a stock android.
You cant download the app from the market anymore because of copyright issues, but here is a link to the .apk file. Just copy it over to your sd card, and use astro or another file browsing program to install it. Doesnt require being rooted or anything. You would think more people would be using this being that its free and looks 100000x better than beautiful widgets which you have to pay for. Let me know what you guys think!

good idea;bad execution. we cant share warez,banned apps, or apps that were banned 3 months ago....i could be wrong though....fwiw.

I just swapped out the files from a modded sense clock widget and put them into the fancy widget apk. then signed it and done. Took under a minute. enjoy

well if it is against the rules then tell me and ill remove it. I figured since its not an app thats in the market with a price tag on it that it would be ok to post it?

Note 5 Weather Widget Works With Nova Launcher

READ THE WHOLE THING!
Im using the OFFICIAL weather widget that comes in our Note 5.
The thing is the widget looks different in the preview of Nova Widgets.. The widget looks like white blue calendar in the preview however once you put the widget on the "Desktop" it'll turn into the one that's on the touchwiz launcher.
Widgets > Scroll all the way down till you see the widget "Weather 5X2" (AGAIN it will look different in the preview) > Then apply to home screen.
The only thing that is not available is the clean digital clock but you can do my fix which comes pretty close to the clock widget.
The clock I'm using is a skin through beautiful widgets pro.
- BW Clock 2x1
- Skin: S5-Lollipop-Smooth.
- Turn the background to 0%
- Feature: none
- Select the Date Format of your choice
Once you guys get the widgets setup re-size them to complete the look.

Goes to Widgets, looks through them all, nope don't see the stock Samsung Weather / Clock widget in Nova. So no, this doesn't work, without a third party widget.
The thread title is very misleading. As I would love Nova to allow some stock Weather / Clock widgets to work. Same with HTC Sense widget, most of the good stock ones don't work with Nova.

The only thing I found that looks vaguely close to Samsung weather clock widget is HD weather widgets

Try Xwidget. It's got closes thing to accuweather widget. U might have edit it little but think u like it with Nova. U should fine S6-widgets in it.
