Hey all,
I've had my Captivate since launch... and I just noticed a weird problem. Can any of you get any WAV recording applications to work?
I've tried MicDroid and Hertz Wave Recorder... both generate WAVs that are significantly shortened and chopped up, and sometimes unreadable.
Voice Recorder records AMR's fine, and another Voice Recorder app I tried recorded 3gp audio OK. Just seems like recording uncompressed WAVs are a problem with Galaxy S devices (and my Captivate in particular).
Why is this? Does it work for anyone?

Looking for better software than the "Voice Recorder" recorder that comes with the FUZE. Tried Resco but get "cpu overload" error. Recordings skip, possibly due to the overload. Also found incoming phone calls don't register on LED or ringtone when in playback mode. Anyone have any luck and/or suggestions with recording on the FUZE? TIA
Vito Audio Notes Touch works great. It records in MP3 format instead of WAV, so it saves memory card space as well.
Discovered Resco is not working with recording mp3 files in any resolution but seems okay with wav files.
I will check out Vito as a possibility since it does mp3.
Hi there,
I am looking for an App which is able to play mp3s or wav/what ever audio file to the mailbox "voicemessage" recording.
Is that possible? As of now, i tried to hold the phone next to my PC speaker playing the mp3 in order to record my mailbox voicemessage resulting in a horrible audio quality....
Is there a way to circumvent this?
Hi, I've had my Blaze for about a week and I'm having problem with garbled and distorted audio while recording video or using the voice recorder. I can barely hear the sound and when I do hear it, it seems as it drops out and sounds weird -- I'd best describe it like when you hear distorted audio with corrupted MP3's or videos. I've tried to troubleshoot but I can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong. I've changed the recording quality to a lower setting for video. I tried the same for the voice recording (from .amr to .3gp). I thought maybe the included SD card was too slow so I tried switching my old Class 6 SD card. I also tried recording to the phone instead of the SD card. I tried taking the back off to make sure the microphone isn't obstructed. I tried playing the files on my computer to make sure it was a recording problem and not a phone playback problem. Nothing changes.
I don't have any problems watching videos such as from YouTube. I don't think it's a hardware problem because I don't have problems on phone calls -- I assume it uses the same microphone? The video records fine -- no dropouts or framerate problems. It's just a problem with the audio. I've done the latest update and the problem's still there. My brother bought a phone at the same time I did and I tried his and it seems to have the same problem. I know I've seen videos recorded by the Blaze in reviews and on YouTube and they seem fine.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Just bought a Moto G, and am liking it. However, it seems that the only way to record stereo audio is to make a video. All of the audio-only recording apps I've tried record in mono only, even if set for stereo recording. Anyone have success in this area and can suggest an app?
Thanks
Hello everyone
I need to play the audio of media files through Skype/snapchat calls but no matter how loud the speaker is, the mic doesn't pick up the audio even though it picks up my voice. I figured it must be background noise suppression and I looked into it and found a method to disable noise suppression through build.prob by editing (fluence) lines but no matter how I adjust them no change whatsoever in the behavior of calls or recording. Anyone has any idea how to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.
Ps My device is a xiaomi device rooted and viper is installed. Also recording (on the phone or in voice memos through apps) picks up the audio. The problem is only with calls on ANY app.
