Nice work and thanks again.

looks way better than stock. Nice job.

This is awesome!

love this theme! As a suggestion you should make a blue themed one with the original contacts icon and a blue phone icon! that would be bomb. Apart from that this is an awesome theme! good job!

WOW! ur tha man!!!
if i may, i would like the left side to be the phone and right side sms instead ;-)

+1 on this. Would be nice if you could just hold the icon and change it to a different shortcut.

What live wallpaper is that?

It is called Blue Sea and I believe it is an HTC live wallpaper that I installed when I first rooted my X. I will have to find the post and link it here.
update: I have found the link and it is from a Samsung device... http://alldroid.org/default.aspx?g=posts&t=509

Version 2 is perfect!! Great job!

Any chance I could get that wallpaper from your first screenshot? The sort of mesh looking one. I'd appreciate it

Updated to version (3)

As always very nice and thanks for your work.

can i get a non themed stock version of the Blurhome.apk? for me to use on my moto droid 1?

I appreciate the su coding. I used your original blurhome file because of the status bar mod I did that changed my blur. However its acting sketchy ask my blur icons keep moving around between homescreens and glitching and stuff. Any ideas?

Blur is just a crappy app. Simply remove whatever widget is acting up by dragging it to the trash and reboot your x. It will run stable again after a couple of reboots.

Does this work on droid 1 with 2.2 non rooted?

does this work on galaxy s 2.1 rooted ?

Another non-root request.. GenieWidget...

Back over in the Dream section, someone got an earlier (pre Nexus) verison of the GenieWidget going on the Dream... then someone else posted a shot of a transparent version ...

Replacing the existing one without root is impossible, I'm not sure how much it would take to make a separate APK that coexists, but it's as simple as editing a .png file.
It should be easily doable with Metamorph, if/when it works with the Nexus One/2.1
Its insanely easy with root access. Doubt anything can be done easily without root access.
It might work without root. Just open up the .apk (from a system dump somewhere), and edit the .png's to be transparent. Then repack the .apk, and try installing it with Astro. I doubt it will work, being that it's a system app... but hey, give it a shot.
Is the one on your screenshot from a metamorph theme? If it is, link me to it, and if I have any time soon I will see about theming the one for the Nexus (not the Dream port) with the same .png's, and upload it here.

I wasn't sure, was thinking the way Google Maps got replaced by the new version in the market.. but a different name would work, just a second one (we gots a little ram to play with now).

No idea, the person that posted the screenshot it never responded with people asked for it.
To get the transparent background, just open up the .apk, go to the drawable-hdpi folder, and make the 3 appwidget_dark_by.9.png transparent. At least I think that is the name of them. To install on /data/app/ it will have to be resigned and I still don't know if it will install to there with you still having the one in system/app/ because you can't rm it without root access.
http://www.mediafire.com/?yzlmjwmktdo
That's the transparent version. (I Pm'd him)
Whenever I try to install it on the N1 it says unable to replace.

Deinstalled the non-transparant version, installed this one and it worked perfectly (on a MT3G). Thanks for the link!!
the one that worked for the mt3g probably will not replace the images on the n1 because for the mt3g the widget background images are in drawable-mdpi, not hdpi. also, the easiest (well if you are comforable with adb) way to install is
adb remount
adb push AppName.apk /system/app/AppName.apk

Launcher 2 mod - 5 column appdrawer!

This launcher has the 5 column app drawer. There are two versions. One for cm 5.0.5+ (due to some changes he pulled in from qualcomm) and one for everything else. Let me know how it works for you.
Just push it to /system/app via adb/file manager of your choice.
All roms that are not CM 5.0.5+
CM 5.0.5+

Already using it, loving it. Looking forward to someone developing a 5 column home screen replacement. Maybe Doc.
will try this later, thanks persian
just an FYI
tested with Koush's cyanogen mod for Droid and it just FC's
rm /system/app/Launcher2.apk
then pushed
rebooted, still fc's
may try a wipe and push, but im not sure that will matter
edit:wiped data, syste, cache, reflashed koushs rom, rm'd and pushed. Works fine now! great work
Does this work on Desire?
It says "All roms that are not CM 5.0.5+" so just wondering.
loving this - just pushed it to /system/app and rebooted - everything works fine!
Works as advertised on CM 5.0.5!
If we have a launcher like helixlauncher2 from the market will this overwrite that?
Just installed it via "adb push Launcher2.apk /system/app/Launcher2.apk" dunno if this was right
It's working great, only trouble was that it reseted all my widgets. Had to remove them and then put them in again and everything is running smooth now
Great job!

super circle battery icon

im currently using free x10 froyo and loving it, however i do miss the super circle battery icon from the previous rom i was using. is there any way to just replace the stock icon without going into a whole "theme"?
Yes - [UPDATED 24.12.2010] X10 Theme Reference
Happy reading.
Man, that's an awful lot of reading and work for a battery icon. I do however wish it was part of the original Froyo ROM.

I did it last night after installing Free X10 beta 3. It's attached.
It has Super Circle Battery Version B for white background, as well as the bootanimation fix (cobrato's post here).

NOTE: I've only tested this with Free X10 beta3. There's no guarantee that it will work on beta 2, and it definitely WON'T work on stock SE firmware.
I don't know how to make an xRecovery package yet, so unless someone else makes one (feel free), you'll need adb to install it:
1. Connect your phone through USB.
2. Copy framework-res.apk to your SD card root directory (/sdcard/).
3. Open a command prompt (in a directory that contains adb) and type:
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
adb dd if=/sdcard/framework-res.apk of=/system/framework/framework-res.apk
4. It will probably crash and reboot. This is normal. If not, reboot manually.

WARNING: Do NOT use Root Explorer to copy framework-res.apk directly over the one in /system/framework/! I think it crashes before it finishes copying, so it'll be corrupted.

i pushed all the .apk's but on reboot, the phone process goes into a force close loop. and the power button resets the device rather than bringing up the power menu
Just to help out ive packed the latest version into a flashable update.zip for use in clockwork recovery.

Do I have to be rooted?
@thomassafca there's a adb shell line in your 'how to' that is incorrect:
busybox cp -R /sdcard/SemcMusic.apk /system/framework/
It's should read /system/app/ instead of /system/framework/
Just a heads up.
Regards Dousan...
Ohh by the way it looks very slick indead, nice work mate
Did it with root explorer. If anybody else does it with root explorer please remeber to move the files to /system/ first, then set permissions and then move to /system/framework/ otherwise you might end up in a bootloop. This only regards the two files going to /system/framworkl/

One question, what's the name of the background that you changed to black in your modded apk's?
Regards Dousan...
I've installed a CRT animation onto my stock SE firmware, will this conflict with yours and mess up my phone? Or can I just overwrite it with no issue?
I recall pushing a framework-res.apk onto my phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065789&highlight=CRT this one infact, all I installed was the animation.

You need to decompile the apk's with apk manager (need adb installed) then, in the decompiled apk, open it and go to /system/res/drawable-hdpi (or mdpi, if it's that), and look for the icon in there.
Easier way....copy those apps whose icons you want to change to your hard drive. change extensions from .apk to .zip and then go the /system/res/drawable-hdpi as mentioned above.

how did you change the battery icon in the notification bar???
Thank you, very easily. Just go to uot.dakra.lt/ and follow the guide (HOW TO).
Basically you have to: chose the mod you like (not all of them works though - I've succeeded with battery, icons:emoticons and status bar (but not power buttons), popup, fonts (but not windows animations) and upload your: framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk, twframework-res.apk.* Kitchen will do everything for you. GO to PICKUP to receive your zip and flash it with cwm.
*You can get them with root explorer or via adb:
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk
adb pull /system/framework/twframework-res.apk
adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk
