Does anyone have the Blockbuster Online Android app from the Droid X? Anyway to get this for N1?

http://sharebee.com/18d7a0d3 Modded to run on G1(Can't test movies, because of this),but seems to run on my N1 as well.
This works on the n1. When registering, you just use a verizon email. ie. [email protected]
(or make one up )
I got it to install and register my device. I then rented a movie and downloaded it, but it won't play..it says "license expired". I have tried to redownload it and the problem persists.
can anyone get the city id app to work or just post the apk

It may be encoded with a special drm. Encoding may not work. Try using rockplayer after the download has finished. I don't have a blockbuster account so I can't play with this app.

try converting them into .avi files, those will play
converters all over the net for free, try voldimori or something like that, search google or even youtube for how to do it

A little tip for you if I may.
Your best bet for quality and file size is to convert your vids to .mp4 format and keep the bitrate around 1500kbps.
AVI files tend to be a little bit taxing on even an overclocked android device. So as far as performance goes, you are better off trying the .mp4 format.
Hope this helps you out...

stupid question
Could the reason its not working, because of the DRM? if it is i dont get it then cause its a digital copy to be used on a portable device. grrr
Most "digital copy" versions are loaded with drm. Which would explain the scrambled feed...
I would say get a good decrypting app and learn how to rip/encode your dvds like I do. Lol

Hey guys i'm using MoboPlayer and i've notice that When mirrorring on my TV that it doesn't work while playing avi or mkv yet can play both those standalone... anyone else having these issues? or has anyone else mirror'd movies successfully using another app?
I had problems with mobo+hdmi too. The picture froze both on TV and transformer.
Using vital player now and hdmi works fine. Beware that ONLY free version works. Donate version keeps FC and developer says it's because honeycomb authentication system and it's not working now.

thanks will check that player out
i have that problem with Mobo and Rockplayer. will try out Vital too!
Those players can't play from th SD card thouggh
I use moboplayer. Works great. Make sure you get the additional codec pack for tegra. Forgot which one but it's somewhere in this forum.
I was also just tinkering with vital today. There is an option to set the root location where you start browsing. Simply set that to / and you can browse you entire tablet. Sgcard is not in/sdcard but /removable/microSD or sd
I don't need a signature.
Moboplayer and HDMI works fine for me. I also have the additional codec pack installed. Plays very smoothly.
The only thing that's "bad" about the HDMI mirror is the different screen ratio. The picture gets cut off at top and bottom. But since it's hiding the menu bar it's not really that bad
Is the codec needed for MoboPlayer different from the one that Mobo recommends in the Market?

I use the one that they recommend after installing the main app. I think it's optimized for ARMv7. It's also available through the market.
I tried installing codec package , but it was freezing all the time

I've heard that i doesn't work on rooted phones, i installed the new market, it should install along with the new market but it didn't. I guess that's due to me being rooted.

set the browser ua to desktop by typing about:useragent in the adress bar. then log into the gmail desktop site. once logged into google go to the web market at market.android.com/movies
the movies will play in the browsers video player at 480p which is the phones native res anyhow, I'm sure this is the same as google video will play it. they are hosted by youtube and I don't see the hq modes on my pc so id guess that's the quality limit.
this way it will play throuh mhl with no problems.
im rooted. the download wouldnt install from the market. it would start and then just stop for no reason. so i installed from apk. it works now, and with the market too. divx movies forward over to play in the samsung player.
Hey there Jack can you send me the apk? PM me and I'll give you my email address. muchas gracias.
thats ok. i put it in my dropbox. http://db.tt/Xya5KUS

Hey Jack thanks for the apk. It installed just fine but when I tried to play a movie I rented from the market (Wedding Crashers Unrated) I got the following error:
Playback not supported on rooted devices (Error 49)
Have you rented a flick from the market and if so were you able to watch it? I'm rooted and running Infused 153. Thanks again man.
Set the browser user agent to desktop, browse to the Android Market website, and launch the movie from there. Think that may work.
nope, i have yet to see anything i would want to rent over netflix.

ok, I'm a complete novice so can someone please tell me how to do this? I'm getting the rooted error 49 too and have no idea how to get the movie to play. I don't know how to open it in the browser either, so I am totally lost. I have a feeling I just wasted 3.99. Lol.
Hi guys,
Waiting for android on the HP Touchpad, is there someone knows how to play divx (moovies) on that tablet with webos with a free application.
It seems that there only one soft who do that but not free.(around 7€)
Thx for yours advices.
find a video converter and convert to a supported format.
Probably mp4 is supported, don't know really.
A free one was called Format Factory.
as you say there is a paid app that can do avi, divx, xvid etc but nothing for free.
the best advice i can give you is to use the handbrake template in the following link to pretty much guarantee compatibility when converting video files.
http://forums.precentral.net/hp-tou...n-resources/287212-handbrake-preset-dvds.html
also, if you have mkv files, you could use something like gotsent to convert them to mp4 and they should work.
What's the name of the app?
Kalemsoft Media Player...
http://www.kalemsoft.com/site/products-WebOS-KSMPlayer.html
Thanks for that.... other question I have is I have put credit card details into the webos app store and I still can't see any paid apps? help anyone?
nevermind ... seems Australia is failboat on the paid apps...
yeah paid apps doesn't work for australia at the moment.
probably never now.
easier to just convert them.
Try the latest KalemSoft beta for free http://www.kalemsoft.com/betas/com.kalemsoft.ksmplayera_0.3.6_all.ipk (220811)
Here's a really good video converter. It's free just make sure to get the converters suite at the top right.

cool.
i'll check this app out.
it'll be interesting to see how my overclocked TP handles the extra cpu load.
most of my movies aren't HD anyway so there shouldn't be much load.
EDIT: doesn't seem to want to download.

The preware build seems to have a problem that prevents it to install.
Download the app from precentral.net/touchplayer and then install it by using "Web OS Quick install" App.
It worked for me.
Mine installed but I dont get any sound Tried both .6 and .3 versions above.
Tried .avi and then converted to .mp4 no sound but movie plays. .mp4 plays with the native video player but doesnt scale to the right aspect ratio

Ok I purchased 2 samsung galaxy note 10.1's for my mom and dad they are both running 4.0.4
My dad likes to watch movies and has alot of his movies stored on vudu but that requires adobe flash player to watch.
My mother like to play facebook games and those also require adobe flash player to work.
Is there anyway that I can get adobe flash player on these tablets so they can enjoy them the way they would like too.
Please help as I have tried everything that I can think of.
Google search the latest flash player .apk file

Remember when you install it that flash doesn't work with any browser but your default (internet).
I used this and it works. I watch movies, tv shows and sports.

I have tried this, downloaded and installed. Went on the net and opened facebook to try a game. The game didnt load on the first try as a matter of fact it kicked me off the net and back to the home screen. I tried loading it again and it loaded but after about a minute the screen went white with the play button in the middle.

I have tried the same thing as you and that happened to me also. However, I never play games on Facebook.
Have you tried to play a movie or tv show? I'm certain that works because I do that all the time.
Let me know how you go in that area,

Thanks downloaded it, but it is not working. I made sure that the security setting was checked and then downloaded it from your site. Opened up facebook thru the supplied browser and could not play the games. I was able to watch the trailers on vudu but could not watch the movies I have stored there.
Any other suggestions.

ok thanks for the info, however 11.1.115.16 version is not listed on the archive page for android 4.0 devices.
I forgot to add that these devices are the GT-N8013 model.
Does anyone know where I can get this version?
When I installed the flash apk it didn't work at first. So I went to the installed apps and clicked on flash and stopped the app. Next I rebooted the tab and when it rebooted and connected to the net I went to the play store and it had an update for flash player. Installed it and its worked since.
Edit; The flash version on my tab is 11.1.115.34 if that helps......
The most recent Adobe update doesn't include mobile flash, Adobe dropped support for mobile flash player earlier this year. Sideload the last archived Android version that you find on Adobe's site. Eventually that version will quit working as Adobe makes more coding changes to desktop flash and no mobile device will be able to properly display any flash content.

I tried this, downloaded the .34 version and installed. Rebooted tablet and reconnected to the internet, went to the play store and there was no update to adobe flash player available.
I always have the APK available in my dropbox. I only have 11.1.115.20, it works flawlessly on my GNote II, Nexus 7, Samsung Tab 2 7.0, and my GNote 10.1
Flash works good on Firefox and puffin browsers as well
