Here is the froyo launcher2.apk from the G2 system dump. You must be rooted and uninstall stock launcher2 first via root explorer or titanium backup. I also suggest making a backup first. It runs smooth on my incredible. 7 home screens, 3D app drawer, etc. I figured i would make it easier for anyone who wants it. Just download then place on your SD Card and install. You do need to allow installation of apps from unknown sources in application settings first.
ONLY WORKS WITH AOSP ROMS

Its a really nice launcher but the phone icon says "Application not installed" and I found no way to fix that. Its useless to me without being able to access my phone
I'm sorry I don't know. It works perfect for me on cyanogenmod 6 and Ruby and ultimate Droid. I don't know what to tell you

No need to be sorry. My phone is back to stock 2.2. I'm waiting for a replacement cause I'm having major issues. I'm sure that's why it's not working. Thanks dude
I tried to use this on CM 6.0.2 and after I download it says I already have it installed. I really just want the 3D app drawer. Any idea?

Download titanium backup and select backup/restore and go find desktop 2.2 launcher and press it and hit uninstall then go and install this

yeah, get launcherpro. it's 3d app drawer is way better than the stock launcher2

go to manage apps, and clear defaults for phone, then click ur phone icon, and click it to use as default.
Already tried that but it didn't work. I just wanted to check it out. I'm back to using Launcher Pro

I just installed this on my stock 2.2 incredible and almost everything works quite well. The only thing that doesn't work is the phone button on the launcher. When I select it I get a the message "Application is not installed on your phone". Not sure how to fix this. Anyone?

you need to long press the phone icon on the bar and when the menu pops up select "change shortcut" then select application and then click on phone and you should be good to go hope this helps you.
It's good tool. But I have only G7, hope yours can work correctly on my phone!

I've been looking forever for a stock froyo looking launcher that's more like the Nexus One. ADW is ok but I don't like the dock icons. The G2 launcher is perfect but I can't get the phone button to work on my Droid Incredible OTA 2.2 (Rooted). I've read through the post but havent seen any solution Long pressing on the phone button and changing the short cut doesn't work at all (read that in another post) SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I really like this launcher
Hey guys sorry for not replying sooner. Apparently this only works with AOSP roms (i.e. cyanogenmod, ruby, shadowrom) I'm updating the OP right now.

Have any of you guys flashed both this and noobnl's ROM? Currently Im running noobnls and its pretty stable so for. But it still has TouchWiz. So since Boss is suppose to run stock, can any of you tell me if Boss is as bug free as noobnls?
What custom kernel does this rom have. When I check settings>about phone>kernel version it says 2.6.29. Isn't that the stock kernel for DI07 or am I mistaking?
Since Andromeda Galaxy has shown me bad battery life thus far, I'll be testing this out when I get home. Is it based off of DI07? I know it says newest OTA in the OP, but I wanna be sure.

Is this kernel better than the stock one? noobnl said the stock one was better than his in his own thread or is this a new one?
I tried to flash this 4 times and it flashed ok. However, the problem that I'm running into is that my apps does not reinstall. I tried Mybackup Pro as well as Titanium backup. I even manually re-installed all my apps from the market. On all occasions, i get the message that everything was restored. But when I go to my app drawer none of my apps are there. I turn the phone off then back on and i get a black screen with the capacitive buttons lite up and it doesn't go any further than that.
have anyone else ran into this problem?
Was your last rom deodexed?

I was using Noobnl Andromeda Galaxy rom. I wiped data/factory reset and cache before flashing the boss rom.
Hello everyone! Here is something new for you all to play with. This is the TouchWiz 4.0 Launcher on the SGSII for KC1 and KD1. THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH MY DEODEXED BUILDS. Download the respective zip for your build and flash through clockworm mod recovery (you read me right!). The KC1 version CAN be flashed over the lockscreen mod from my other thread.

Flashed without issue. 1 FC I think it was due to only having 3 home screens and and not setting in preferences. once I changed it to 3 Badda Bing no FC. THANK YOU WHITEHAWKS TOUCHWIZ 4.0 IS SICK!!!!!

Make sure you're running my dedoexed build. This will NOT work on the official T-mobile release.

To my understanding the only thing not working is restoring /system. You can flash stuff through it np.

Oh, so to install this i would just have to put it in root of sd, then go to flash from sd, choose and flash it? ( do i need to wipe anything?)

Flashed with cwm and running fine. I like this version of tw much better. It's less Iphoney--It doesn't have those colored boxes behind the app icons in the app drawer. It also seems to be pretty snappy.
I will probably use this for my main launcher which I am surprised to say about a version of TW...lol. Great job on this!

Download to sdcard and then boot into cwm and look for install zip from sdcard, not the flash update.zip option. U will see your sdcard file layout find the file u downloaded and install. Hope this helps. Also when u reboot hit home and go to preferences and uncheck Landscape. It was causing force close on me everytime.

I noticed issues if I tried to use more than 5 icons on the dock. Also get a black screen if I use my samsung desk home app. Not a big deal but only happens with sgs 4g not my vibrant both running tw 4.
Love tw 4.... never thought I would see love and touch wiz together.

Hmm. I reflashed KD1 and installed.beta 3 cw again, and it still keeps rebooting constantly. Im lost. When i get home i guess i could try odin.

Am I missing how to make app drawers in touchwiz on my showcase? I know you can make folders on the home page but is there anyway to make app drawers in the applications menu?
If your using the stock touchwiz launcher and it is anything like the Mesmerize then no. I couldn't find a way to create folders or groups in the app drawer. Now the new touchwiz has the ability to do folders in the app drawer. I think it is touchwiz 4.0 but I may be wrong on that.

Yeah. You may have to move it to the system/app folder but I do think you may need to be on froyo to do that. You will need root explorer to move it. But I think you need to be on a rooter deodexed ROM to make that work. May consider heinz 57. It has a version with touchwiz 4 already installed. Also has version for showcase.

Touchwiz is about as cool as Nancy Grace naked. Just use a different launcher; GO Launcher, ADW Launcher, Launcher Pro, Jesus Launcher, Incest Sisters Launcher, etc.

I ended up opening up the heinz57 flash and replacing Mr home with twlauncher4.5 then flashing it and I gotta say I hated tw3 but am in total love with 4.5.

I ran across this one day, and i liked it since my phone used to run 2.2.1 until i got a custom rom. The launcher is fast, smooth, elegant, and takes up a small amount of ram. I liked it and I would like to share it with the community, this should work with all phones.

Like I said this is pure stock, I did not make this, I'm working on getting the gingerbread and ice launcher, I'll get the stock gb launcher, the ics launcher will be a port from cyanogenmod 9 and it might need root access for Widgets.

No it is not, it is really close to the real thing, but its not as smooth and on the stock one if u long press on the dots showing what screen u on, it will show screen previews.

ok, if your phone is rooted, use a root explorer, or ES file manager (in the settings set mount root) and push the app to system / app
please tell me the version of android you have. if its JB idk if it will work. i have jb on my thrive but haven't tried it out yet.
