Does anyone know where to find it?
yeah, a nice black one i would switch mine str8. there plenty of talented people on this forum im sure someone could make them hehe.
no ideas?
Any news? I am also looking for a oem housing replacement. I dropped my desire, and have a small dent on the corner. There must be any chance to replace it... I hope at least.
I'd love one too, any color really but preferably brown. As my Desire took two large hits in the first week- breaking the camera lens of the cover and a few dents on the front so I'd love to be able to make it appear as if brand new again!
Anyone got one of these yet, and if so whats it like, very very cheap, looks like a cheaper version of the SGP, but its in stock and in the UK
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILICON-CASE-..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item5d29f942ef
dont purcahse them all lol, im asking for opinions and will prob sell out now lol
btw, im only looking at this for a temp measure so my phone can leave the house until some seX cases are released
There is a slightly cheaper one without the screen protector:

Problem with a seller with that many feedback is, you can go months with purely negative feedback before it affects the % significantly.
The guy's a drop shipper. I actuallly bought a couple of Galaxy Portal cases and some SGS screen protectors from him last week. Had no problems with delivery on the stuff I ordered from him. I asked about the silicone SGS cases at the time and he told me he was currently out of stock - that's why I ended up buying the Zenus case.
ok, well ill order one up at £3.50 you cant really go wrong
If anyone prefers amazon,
heres a link to the item I bought mine from (it was despatched on Monday)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003U6VTOC/ref=oss_product
I ordered one of those yesterday and received an email through to say it had been despatched, hopefully it'll arrive soon.
Just a quick follow up to this, it arrived after a couple of days and for the money the case is great. It fits well and isn't too thick and does it's job of making the phone a lot less slippy.
The screen protector shipped with it was a Terrapin one which is not bad although the edges didn't stick brilliantly.
One thing of note for a few phone calls people were complaining that I sounded muffled and finally I checked the mic and the hole for it in the case was cut but it hadn't gone all of the way through, no wonder people had trouble hearing me.
lol, yea my gfs turned up, i ordered mine the day after here and 3 extra days later it isnt here lol.
hers like you said was a really good fit, surprising for the money, all slots lined up and for £3 even the camera cutout has a small bevel
really good value for money, but if you want a decent screen protector dont buy this one because its included, imho its crap, well compared to my martin fields
The wife got one of these for her galaxy..she thinks its ok, however she is going to buy a jelly one as well as this one gets dusty and covered in little hairs (so she tells me!)
Also the screen protectors edges don't stick very very well.
She'll keep you posted on the jelly one (but its coming from hong kong..so it may be a while!)
as far as im aware its pretty much jelly anyway, i would think the real 'wobbly' ones lol would attract more lint etc

no i don't like those that are really jelly.
those attracts way too much dust.
you can always wash it off, but it's very annoying to do it on a daily basis

yea it looks great, and even better when you put them on the phone.
However, do you know if these i9000 case going to be compatible with samsung Vibrant
it's of the same phone design, no difference in the buttons cut outs
the only difference is in the front facing camera which some of the USA carriers are missing
those cases doesn't cover the front anyways, so it's not an issue

Hi Guys,
i am thinking of buying a DesireZ at the end of the month. The so called "Hinge-Problem" is none for me (tried the phone in some stores), BUT:
I fount a topic on a german forum, where many users report of color-changes near the metal-parts on the plastic of their phone - some think it is caused by some bags, others say it is the plastic itself which changes color perhaps because of water or sweating....
Here is a link to some pictures a guy posted there to show you what i mean: http://img19.imageshack.us/g/pc0343121024x768.jpg/
On the Pic 2 and 3 you see some red/purple spots....
Can anyone here confirm this??
If this is a material-problem (and this is what it looks like, because users say they tried everything to remove the color without succes....) this would be a no-go for me to buy this phone
Pls help me

The point is, that this guy is not the only one.... there are many concerning about this problem which confuses me a little (maybe i should pick another phone....)
probably from rubbing in my opinion
This is a known issue. Someone brought this up in a thread on here not too long ago. Some people said their phone changed color without the bag. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the oil from your hands when you old the phone or the acid. I had a pair of glasses do the same thing, and the eye doctor said it was due to the acid in my skin or something along those lines. I put a case on my phone and have had no problems so far.
That's to bad
Go buy a cheap g1 oem slip case thing. I love mine. I got 4 sitting right here next to my bed since I loose them all the time they r like 3 bucks a piece

Hmmm too bad had many phones but never had any problems like this - and in my opinion a phone for more than 500€ should have better material than THIS
I guess i will have a closer look on the DHD since i never heared about big problems there

I've been using one of these slip cases on my phone since I got it. Its a great fit and protects my phone from the innards of my pockets =)
Needless to say, I don't have any discoloration issues here.
ah yes.. I have this problem too.. I brought it to the service center and they change the housing for me.. and the back feels sticky too i feel that this is due to charging the phone and the back of the phone gets too hot..
I bought a cheap holster for my Nexus One and now it has similar markings as those pictures, now for my Z I bought a OEM HTC Leather holster, yes it was a bit expenssive but so far nothing the Z is like new. moral of my story ? spend a little extra get a better case or holster etc, stay away from chepos.
i have some discoloration on the gray plastic on the sides of the keyboard. The demo unit at our t-mobile also has it too.
I have no discoloration on my phone what so ever. But I keep mine in a sleeve style case. I have had out since launch. In my opinion, u won't get much better build quality then this phone. At least not on an android.

My wife has red discoloration on the corners of her G2. Hers is from a new red purse she got. It has a little pocket that her phone fits in and I believe the dye leached into the plastic.
My G2 has no color issues but the film is coming off my battery case as seen in other threads.

LIGHTBULB!!!
Dye your G2 any color you want!! Just buy a cheap chinese napsac in the color of your choice.. use it.. wait a couple months and the cheap dye will be on your phone!
Aswell as a healthy dose of lead and melamine..!

desire z
iv had mine since it was released and i dont have it in any kind of case, im pretty carefull with my stuff.
i use it every day and have dropped it a couple of times. i have no discoloration or scratches.
same thing with my "z" but its not a " carring case" issue
I have red coloration on the corners near the track pad
I did contacted clove.co.uk where I bought it and they said that they contacted the HTC and they said that there is no red base plastic used and it's not the coating coming off and that was caused by some external contact. Well, I carried it in the jeans pocket made of dark red fabric, but is that really extreme conditions to dye the coating that easy? I don't think so.
No issues with mine, I luv it.
Have 3 different cases and no issues.

I'm afraid not, because the entire front housing is in one piece and also it's a tastk and a half to change...
Has any1 tried it? How did you replaced the case? Was it difficult?
Would really need some feedback, as I wanted to try it myself too.
Btw, I watched a youtube video called "HTC Desire Disassembly Video", and it looks scary to put my phone in 1000 pieces...
hello rodey,
look on google for a tutorial, i have changed myself the original case of my desire (brown/black) with a tuto (but it's in french), it's seem difficult but if you follow step by step the tuto, no problem... just be patient!
now i'm looking for a white case.
Only problem I've found with disassembly is that my Desire lets in a crazy amount of dust under the screen now, you might want to be wary of that. If anyone has any suggestions to get rid of it they'd be very much appreciated...
Yes, i have the same problem too, but it's my fault : i have lost half of the double face adhesive provided with the case, so it's missing a lot around the screen ...
Hello guys i found out on this site http://paintbullprotec.gr/ it's in greek, about paint bull screen protection.
paint bull is supposed to be a tempered glass of a sort. i contacted with the shop that applies it on your phone and they told me it is in liquid form and applied on the phone screen. it is said that it has 9h hardness. it sound a very good deal for me at 15 euros.
the question that i want to ask is has anyone tried it or anything similar? is it worth it?
my brother had his and his wife's phone done, but w/ a diff company.

was it good? impressions? anything you could tell me is apreciated
just that he shipped it off got it back after about a week and loves it.
i had it installed a week ago if anyone still interested...
I find it very nice, although I understood the risk before installing it, that is you can't get it off, it is fine, it is like its not there, the feeling is the same than before apart from maybe 2 mm added on top of the screen but it is well rounded at the edges and way better than 1st gen screen protectors with bubbles or peel offs
