Installing Cyanogenmod...

Okay for starters my phone info is in my signature (see below...) the phone is known to have a perfected SPL, what I'm trying to do is install cyanogenmod using adb according to the 'Non-TMobile 32B Magics' section of the 'Full Update Guide - MT3G/Magic Firmware to CyanogenMod' WIKI
however after I have typed and entered this command (replacing the folder structure to my own)

so is my phone unable to receive commands via adb? what course of action is left to me now?
I copied both DRC83_base_defanged.zip & update-cm-4.2.15.1-signed.zip to the root of my sdcard after I had formatted it from within the phone

"FAILED (remote: not allow)" On top of the fact you have a 0007 SPL means it's perfected. You'll need to make a gold card and downgrade to an engineering SPL (such as 2005 or what works for your device) in order to be able to flash anything.

I've repeatedly tried to make a goldcard using the 2gb kingston card which came with the phone to no success could you link to a known working guide? I was told that all the kingston 2gb cards worked...

As far as I'm aware its dubious to claim that a particular brand works across the board. If it doesn't work with your 2GB (Assuming you did the process correctly) Then the card simply cannot be used as a gold card, you'll need to try another such as a sandisk.

Okay I have a Goldcard!!!! as you can tell I'm over the moon
so now that I have one, I have no idea what to do with it so can you point me to an up-to-date tut? as I really don't wish to brick my phone

That's the method that worked for me. Took some time and alot of reading but I got it done. Currently running cyan 4.2.15.1 on my mt3g. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks but I still need to get my head around the last bit, SO how would I apply the below to the cyanogenmod? as you have to first install HTC official base image and then the cyanogenmod rom...
Revert to 32B Radio and ROM :
- Download your favorite 32B ROM and copy it to your sdcard
- Download the Ion radio image from the HTC site.
- Extract radio.img from ota-radio-2_22_19_26I.zip using your favorite rar/zip program.
- Download my 32B RAv1.2.0G recovery.
- Fastboot your mobile and connect it via USB :

fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RAv1.2.0G.img
- press MENU to power off! (do not reboot)
- hold HOME and POWER to boot into recovery mode

I've checked out the update-script and the contents of the zip and...
1. It flashes a new radio - 6.35.16.19.
2. As klothius said, it needs the official 1.5 SenseUI Rogers update and the stock recovery that came with it - otherwise the MD5 verification will fail and the update will halt.
3. New kernel and new recovery. If you have an engineering SPL you can flash your favorite recovery right back after the update.
I'll probably add to this as I find out more

Can i flash this through recovery or is it a RUU? and if i can flash, i need Hero recovery new radio and spl on my 32a (also if it isn't by rogers)?

@MARCO310791: I can't say, I haven't tried it yet. It looks like a stock update zip, like the ones you flash in recovery, so it might work. It works by patching the files in the official Rogers release, so it might not work on other ROMs without modification.
From what I've seen in the update-script, it doesn't touch the data partition (except a few of the files that the 1.5 update created there).
WARNING! It installs a new radio - 6.35.16.19.

Nope, SPL is untouched.
It does, however, flash a new recovery, which means you'll need to flash a modded recovery from fastboot when it's done.

Well if that's true, we'll have root even after flashing this...although you must have a rogers rom already installed and you must have a rogers htc original stock recovery installed too.

the reason why the flashlight didn't work is mostly because the dev tree was not flashed properly. it's not the rom that kills the flashlight...
i didn't flash, so i couldn't be sure though

i created a system.img out of cg39.smg, flashed it and that's it. you dont need a devtree or boot if you are already on 3.4.x
everything works properly, including flash which did not work with 0.26.0

This is what I did...
1. wipe
2. reboot to bootloader
3. flash new sbf via 4.9 (OMAP 3630)
4. wipe again
5. install google-market package (tks to sorensiim : http://www.mediafire.com/?4tgq4cmmzm4dc5v )
6. wipe again
7. root
8. install recovery
9. install t-mobile radio via recovery ( tks to adlx.xda: http://www.mediafire.com/?a0aaezdhazl3557 )
10. wipe again.
11. skip Blur setting.
Went straight to camera, greenish flash still exist. ( but it is working, nevertheless ) Video recording still on VGA only.
Other than that, I havn't play with it long enough.....

ME525 is the Chinese version. IIRC, come with 850/1900 3G radio.

I am Originally from the U.S. T-mobile MB525.
There is a warning, you can't flash this from higher 2.3+, such as UK/Tmobile Froyo.

[Q] Problem with instalation Flinny b22 [s-on]

i try install flinny cm 10.1 b22 on my HTC Desire S with
S-ON;
HBOOT-2.02.0002;
RADIO-3831.19.00.110
EXT Recovery;
I wiped cache and sys. data, and install *zip ROM but when i reboot,
device doesn't start => first run white HTC Logo and after stuck on black screan.
I don't know what i have to do now, because i can't run my device now. But i still want the best rom - flinny.

assuming- when s- on- you flashed boot.img of that rom- via fastboot,
your device may be one of those- " blessed" with non sony panel,
and therefore having issues with < non sense > JB roms...
such mantra mate- you`re not the only one with this problem though...
In general section of the forum there is a thread devoted in particular
to the non sony panel topic- check it up
Just restore the backup of a previous rom ( you surely`ve made- don`t you)
and prepeare yourself for the next rom flashing, with more knowledge,
knowing now about that particular secret your devie is having.....

theorizing if "someone" did not do a backup, what this guy have to do now ?
p.s
i had before cm 10.1 flinny (build 21) i had then s-off and older hboot - but i have to return device on guarantee and i restore to s-on, new hboot and ruu ROM. And yesterday they give me back repaired device so i try install again flinny and here i'am now
Now i download ICS_DS v8.0 maybe this rom will run

Because you're s-on, you can't flash the /boot partition from recovery, so after installing a new rom, kernel or update, you have to put your phone in fastboot mode (bootloader, saying fastboot usb) and use the command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
(use the boot.img extracted from the zip of the rom or kernel you installed)
(for more information read guides to installing roms for s-on)

[N7100 4.3]N7100 XXUEMJ2_XXUEMJ2_LBEMJ2 PreRooted-Deodexed

MUST READ BEFORE PROCEED
- This ROM is AP N7100 XXUEMJ2 CP XXUEMJ2 CSC LBEMJ2 and beleved to be PreOfficial
- This ROM have KNOX security effect on bootloader
- I have flashed this ROM with bootloader and even after that I was able to downgrade MG1 ROM as well reflash this ROM again.
- Pre and post flashing EFS backup highly recommended
- This ROM have bootloader and you have to flash separately (Edit : Now you can use this ROM without bootloader too, read installation instruction)
- Recommend to wipe data (factory reset) before flashing ROM
- No one here on XDA is responsible for any bad effect on your device, You are flashing this at your own risk.
Installation Instruction
- Download Prerooted,Deodexed,Zip aligned N7100XXEMJ2 Here Direct MIRROR (Thanks to @MojoManagement ) here is other MIRROR (thank to @kunals.shah for mirror)
- Download Philz recovery if you don't have already. (you can use other but I have tested this one only)
- Copy ROM zip file to SD card and flash it with CWM.
- After Installation of this ROM, you want have WIFI working, You have to Download This Patch and extract to get patch.tar.md5 and flash with PDA tab of Odin to get wifi working. (remember this patch I have tested on MJ2 and using on other ROM may cause serious issue.)
PS : Who have already flashed bootloader and want to get rid of bootloader follow this steps
Downgrade to 4.1.2 (I have tested MG1 My prerooted)
Flash Philz latest recovery
Flash MJ2 from above said link
Flash above said patch
- Reboot normally
Special Notes
- SuperSu zp won't work to root this ROM, though you need not to do it, as This rom is already prerooted.
- If you restore app with Titanium backup, many of applications may not work, but need not to worry, follow this to make it work.
Install terminal emulator from Play store. open it, execute superSu permission and follow below said command

After this you can close terminal and you will have working app which you have restored with titanium.
Remember you have to follow this everytime you restore data from titanium backup.
To All My Dr.Ketan ROM users, If you can't hold your horse, proceed with this and you will be able to flash my update based on this ROM most probable without wipe, Can't promise but may be before week end.

Should we wait for this or continue with your custom rom since it has all N3 stuff and features..since its new so i guess it wont have all features and especially air command.
