Hello, just got the phone. Quite awesome.
I was wondering, can i upgrade it to 6.5 or anything, 6.1 is currently ugly in the menu screen.. was wondering if anyone can help me out.

I did HardSPL, then i download compresssed VGA, i installed it and nothing happen,
I just really wana make the windows to 6.5.3 like my prvious touch2 cause it looks better, please help, ty.
Do u know how to make green light at that part when i receive text and when it is charing like a touch diamond2? ty in advanc!

well i got the new omnia from verizone, this actually my first smartphone but i dont like the widgets theme i saw some vids on youtube and they had the MANILA 2D theme which i like alot.
HOW can i install it if i can because i found out that manila 2d is only for QVGA?
Also i hate the white keypad on the omnia, is there any black ones and can someone help on how to install them?
modacco has a m2d rom for the i900, but i don't thinks its compatible with the i900 though..... i could be wrong i don't know anything really about omnia's. This is an htc site you won't find a whole lot of support here.
The main problem is -a- your device is non-htc and -b- your awkward screen resolution.

I installed it on my i910. Works fine. It just takes up a lot of system memory.

ok, i have a samsung omnia unlocked. i got wm 6.5 home screen and the lock. i dont have that menu though. where u can move them around. the one that looks like the lg dare menu. i still have my regular menu. how do i get the 6.5 menu

I think I finally achieve to install something close to WM6.5... but I am missing the home menu with the slider....
here is some spec so you can help me.
Im in Canada CDMA TELUS - touch pro 2 obviously.
1. I installed RhodiumW CDMA Worldphone HardSPL Unlocker taken here http://rhodiumw.htc-unlocks.com/
2. I installed MightyROM Midnight Blue
Everything seems stable... and It seems I have something close to WM 6.5
Unfortunately, I cant configure the "today" panel to get the new slider panel.
What did I do wrong here ?

The new WM6.5 screen? Just select 'Windows Default' under the Today Screen/Items list.

so can i have the old style start button like the on in 6.1 ?

what do you mean "the way the start button is"? where it's located or how it looks?

he probally wants the same thing as i do. the old style windows mobile 5/6/6.1 start menu in 6.5
btw if anybody know how to do this let me know plz.
QuickMenu is similar to the old WM Start Menu, but much better. I used it in 6.0, 6.1, and still in 6.5.

It is not possible. Use a 6.5 ROM and not a 6.5.1 one.
yeah, sorry, it's not possible. just use a 6.1 ROM or learn to live with the honeycomb interface
or use quickmenu
But Cotulla somehow added old style Start menu to his 6.5 ROM for XDA Flame.
What's worse is the Honeycomb lay out makes you think miliseconds longer before picking the app.
But maybe you get used to this illogical lay that isn't used in other interfaces.
I don't know who is Microsoft's in house Psycologist, but they need to start looking for a new one.
Just because you don't want people saying that it looks to much like the iPhone doesn't make it a good idea.
We where not taught to read that way, it is illogical and a bad idea.
You got till Windows Mobile 7.0 to fix this bed=fore i take you serious, Microsoft.
As for the actual issue/question at hand.
Try looking for folderview.exe , that might still work on 6.5 and gives you the three column old fashioned look.
You could even link to it using Quickmenu.
I've seen some videos of the wp7 running on the hd2, and I thought how wp7-ish would wm 6.5 look if all apps and dialog windows would have a black background with white letters on it? Is there a theme out there that does this? If not, any of the graphical guru's out here can do such a theme?
