I don't use Sense, but like the power control widgets that it has for the various radios. Can anyone recommend some widgets to control the radios? Maybe a widget to turn off mobile data as well? I rather just have a bundle of something, as I don't want to download 40,000 different widgets for this task.

Smooth calendar or grid cagebdar are neat. 3g watchdog (monitors your data usage) and apn Droid (disables and enables 3g data) are both useful if your data plan isn't unlimited. And genie widget is also quite good and has a nice app to go with it (news add weather) though you'll have to Google that one as it isn't on the market.

Try Pure Messenger for the message/mail/texts
suggestion: what about turning this thread into a widget collection, OP updating #1 to get a referential on the subject instead of getting multiple/duplicate threads on the subject? this is not the oldest thread on the subject, but the one with the most generic subject and maybe it could be turned into the last of it's kind...

you download from the market, then add the widget by long pressing the screen? of course you need to have sufficient space for it.
What version did you use? I just download 1.8 and the weather icon doesn't show up....

you need to refresch weather a couple of times, somtimes it dosent work.

Do you mean I have to wait couple hours so the program can pull the weather info from the web?

Hi, Guys,
Anybody help me i am using first time the android phone SE X10. i dont know how to install applications from appbrain site or through SDK. i am not a developer some body please help me my email is [email protected]
Just install astro file manager from market.. then theres also a setting to change so go to settings, applications then check the box where it says 'unknown sources'.. you then just download the file and open astro, find file then install.. shouldnt really have any problems!

Sorry, I've searched everywhere and all I've found are themes for the Droid that have this. I'm hoping for a simple apk to install that would give me a transparent power control widget. Anyone know of one?

I'm not sure because I don't use that setting. It also has a 2G/3G toggle, so one of them should be mobile data.
SwitchPro Widget just updated to support EVO 4g Switching and is transparent.
SwitchPro = EVO Win!

Nice, I had e-mailed him about that only about a week ago so that's a pretty quick fix. I really couldn't find any other issues with SwitchPro, but if there are any other improvements, I'd suggest emailing him because it appears that the dev is willing to get right on it.
Could anyone pull the widget's .apk from CM7 (or perhaps another ROM's)? I'm not sure if it's possible to apply it over a regular ROM but it would be awesome. I really dig the transparency and such. Extended Controls sucks in 2.3 being that lots of controls will not work. Sorry for being such a newb... TIA

i found it on app brain but ive found that it causes launcherpro to reload every time and it causes random crashes too so i uninstaled it.

i think i mispelled it, the software mightve been called quickdesk but i uninstalled it after a few days as i found it caused my phone to lag and reboot. I normally just use widget locker if i really need media controls and ive found it to be a semi usable solution.
I would love it but u can onli have a status switch till now

I've been searching for the same thing but haven't been able to find anything. The closest I've found is a widget that opens the volume controls, which does me no good.
