i think i mispelled it, the software mightve been called quickdesk but i uninstalled it after a few days as i found it caused my phone to lag and reboot. I normally just use widget locker if i really need media controls and ive found it to be a semi usable solution.

I would love it but u can onli have a status switch till now

[Request] Music play controls in notification bar for HTC Sense

Can someone develop an app our mod to have music play controls (play, fast forward, rewind, and stop) when you pull down the notification bar? The play controls should overlay the actual music player notification.
My Evo has replaced my ipod touch and I find it cumbersome that I have to pull down the notification bar, click on the music play to bring up the app, just to rewind or forward to the next song. I rather one less click and be able to have those controls right in the notification bar. I came from the Palm Pre where the music controls were easily accessible. Anyway, anyone up for the challenge? Thanks in advance for your efforts.

Why don't u just use q widget and not even have to pull the bar down
All spelling errors thanks to xt9 on my Evo!

Haha okay I see now. Thanks for clearing that up.
I do use a widget but I would like this fair added for when I'm multitasking. For example, I'm using an app, I don't want to leave that app, to go to my music player just to change the song , I would like to change it from the notification bar therefore I'm not leaving the app I'm using.
Try out Quick Desk. Will allow you to access widgets/programs from anywhere without exiting a program. Either a double tap on the home button, or a long press of the search button will pop up a customized screen that you can place a music widget on.

Thanks, I'll try that out.
I just set it up and I love it!
So far quick desk is sweet(downloaded it last night) It's even playing nice with my widget locker(which also "requires" that it be set as the default home also) thanks for the suggestion!

power control widget

hi guys
I was searching youtube and i saw a video about 2.2.1 froyo on x10.
but something was interesting in this video. this guy had reboot button on his power control widget.
just want to know how can I add it to the widget.?
thank you
I think there is a reboot option when you use SwitchPro
There is a reboot option with Extended Controls, try that app out it's very useful. I would guess that's the app being used in the video you're talking about.

+1 to extended controls
Does Extended Controls still have the bluetooth button being stuck issue on the new 2.1? I had to go to Switchpro for that reason on the 1.6.

I've been searching for the same thing but haven't been able to find anything. The closest I've found is a widget that opens the volume controls, which does me no good.

cool layout and features. looks good on my i9505. If you had a built in media/music player like the samsung drive software and the sony version this would be an awesome app

actually im looking for this, perhaps would be a "simple" music player, since having all that feature will be difficult, i mean maybe not like double twist or something like that but maybe just simple with some simple commands
i will try "attach" apollo (open source) to my layouts instead separate app
im wondering, how many people will like use "home" to bring the main app instead "home screen" mmmm

A simple music player would be great. support for flac and the usual mp3 etc. you dont need all the fancy EQ options because you would be playing it through your car stereo which has EQ anyway.
If you have a look at the Samsung drive app for example, the media buttons (play pause skip shuffle etc) are so small and not handy for driving at all. Here in Western Australia it is illegal to touch your mobile phone whilst driving, so quick large easy to read buttons are crucial. If you had, now playing/album art, large easy buttons and a large slider for skipping through a track i would be very happy and im sure others would be too. Your music player could even look similar to your main screen. now playing in the middle with the time slider down the bottom, play/pause button, forward and back buttons, and a button to take you to your song/album/playlist select section in the corners like on the main screen. lol sorry its your app im sure you have your own ideas!
Ps the built in auto turn bluetooth on is such a simple feature yet one ive always wanted and the big names havent thought of so well done. if you could spread the icons out a little under the speedo and make them shortcuts to those settings that would be cool.
PPS on the home button question maybe have the option in your settings to do either and let the user decide. the more customizable your app is the more people will like it.

My screen shot looks the same as the one previously uploaded but i attached it anyway.
If you need anyone to test any new features on an i9505 send me a pm.
Auto starting modes would be a good feature. load straight into music part of your app if you like. would be very handy for people that use NFC. NFC app loads your app which connects Bluetooth and has the music ready to go. Thats efficiency right there!
Very nice looking app... Love the weather and speed in the middle...
But having the settings button take 25% of the shortcuts on the main screen is maybe too much. I would like to set that shortcut my self and just press the menu button when I was to access settings.
Other than that... Really nice app...

Why not just a blank shortcut button?
Personally I would like mine to be a podcast button...

[Q] An alternative to 'Poweramp Control Pro'?

Hi all
I bought 'Poweramp Control Pro' last year but it never works correctly. When I try to open it it usually just hangs. It's getting to be an absolute pain in the rear. I've emailed the developer but he's never replied, meaning he's useless.
So, are there any decent apps for the SW2 that will control Poweramp? When it works, PC Pro is good - you can control Poweramp and all the options really well. I just need to change folders/tracks, volume and see the time. Is this too much to ask??!
Thanks

I tried last night but I couldn't create a widget that was anywhere as good as the app I have (but doesn't work).
