edit: sorry, forgot - on the laptop, then right click the Bluetooth icon and select Join PAN (Personal Area Network)
So i need an app with which i will be able to easily control my pc via my htc diamond(i need this for 3g and wifi)
is there any app that can do this..it will be good that it is simple to configure?
OS: Windows7 Ultimate
WinMoOS:6.5.1
Hope somebody can help me
Hi,
you can use remotedektop normally installed on every rom.
On Pc you have to allow Port 3389 in the firewallsettings and a user belonging to remotedesktopuser-group.
Using Wlan both devices have to be in the same ip-range (normally distributed by a router), i.e 192.168.2.x and 192.168.2.y. Then you can use it by naming the target computer in the rdp-tool. (if it doesn´t work, use the target-ip)
Using 3g you should have a static ip-address or your router should have the ability to communicate with i.e. DynDNS. In the configurationtools of the router you map Port 3389 to the target computer which should have a static, internal ip.
Edit: RDP-user must have a password, administrator-user is always allowed to use RDP.
That´s all

If your internet connected pc has a wifi adaptor you can set up a network that the X10 can connect to.
Use virtual router or connectify on windows 7 and set up a hotspot, but your laptops wifi chip should be supported by these apps... if it doesnt then bad luck...!
Sent using TouchPal v5
Running Gintonic + zombie panik kernel by slade
Use Easy Tether Pro,

Just u have to download a Easy Tether Pro pc client.

Are you using windows 7 by chance? If so, Connectify may work.

thanks, but it's made for windows 7 and ad-hoc is really insecure, this is why we ask for a solution through usb, I could buy a cheap wifi router though.
Before you tell me to go away "newbie" or point me to the search function, I've searched everywhere here and google. I've found little. I'm a total newbie. Heck, I'm just a 2 year old girl. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Bump..........
You can't.
WinMo 6 can share via USB or Bluetooth using protocols that neither of which are supported on Honeycomb.
Sorry buddy.
Edit: See below. If your phone supports Wi-Fi tethering than you're (maybe) golden.
sassafras
My HTC HD2 with WinMo 6.5 has a Wi-Fi router option in the system page(accessed via the Windows symbol button). I've used it to access the internet from an ASUS notebook, I'm hoping to use the same thing when my Transformer arrives. It should just be like using any other wireless access point.
you can check out a vid I did awhile back. It may help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFHDVrtp9-E
I won't even call you a newbie...
