Worked brilliantly, many thanks - not that impressed with Nook though, oh well
Question though, now I've got market enabler installed what other cool apps are available to me now that aren't in the UK market?
Many thanks
Bryan

Hmm, weird. I can download it off the market on my N1 just fine.
Lemme know if that link the other gentleman provided doesn't work, ill try to up it to my DropBox.
google is aware of the problem. its only the att versions that are having issues seeing all of the apps in the market
Isn't ATT 'controlling' certain things about the market? Maybe that's why it's not showing on your ATT N1?
i think they may be because i read somewhere that if i put a t mobile sim in the phone i wouldnt have a problem. hell i dunno.
I don't have these issues with my N1 on ATT. *shrug*
having the same problem with ATT N1 missing Market apps. Attached is a newer version of Where app, 1.88, i think. 1.90 is newest, but can't grab. would appreciate if someone could UL the latest.
I emailed with Tech Support at Where. They said there was a contract issue with AT&T. Appears that if you want where, you have to pay AT&T each month and have one of the approved where handsets.
Could someone that has access to a newer version of Where 1.9 post either a download link or attach the file here in the forum.
We ATT folks would much appreciate it.
Thank you

Thanks a bunch!!
Do you have a specfic source since I see you are on ATT as well?
Well, screw ATT. I was looking for an app like this just yesterday and nothing looked good so I decided to stick to google maps. Are there any other known apps that ATT is screwing us on?

Thank You Very Much! For Some Reason My Boost Mobile Motorola i1 can't access some of these apps on the Market. My assumptions it's because it runing on Android 1.5. Hopefully they will release an update soon considering 3.0 is rumored to be released soon.

Thanks. There is a new version out. Can you please share it too?
You guys really find the app that useful?
The only useful stuff I found it did, Google local search already does.
Any who, here is Where 1.9.6
Where is the only app I've seen that gives a decent listing of gas prices nearby, anyone have any better suggestions?
I'd be happy to take back the 5-6M of storage it takes up..... Yikes.
Zipcar
It is also the only zipcar app for android.
If you use AppBrain and the new fast web install they have, you can install it from the AppBrain website. It still won't show up in the market for updates, but you can probably get it updated the same way.
I downloaded the nook asp from the market earlier on today. I haven't started it yet though.
Tonight I went to check it out but it wasn't on my nexus one so I went to market to check if it had been installed but it no longer exists in the market. I'm sure that it was installed though.
I'm based in the uk by the way if that's a factor. Was it remotely installed or something else? Thanks in advance.

i installed then uninstalled it so we definitely did have it at some point but now its gone, guess it must have been for USA only.
I'm in the US, and Nook app shows here on AT&T.
The only requirement I can find on their webpage is that you have Android 1.6 or higher. I feel like they should have mentioned if it was for USA only.
It's still installed and showing up in the market for me on Verizon.
Doesn't show up anymore on European markets but using Market Enabler and US setting, it shows up.
I installed this few days ago when it was available also without Market Enabler. Cool app, but I prefer real books.

Hi Guys,
I live outside the US but have a Nook and many B&N ebooks that I've bought. I don't want to root my Desire (to get around the market place regional issues) so would be grateful if someone can post the Nook APK.
Cheers,
Paul
Doesn't show in the market in Sweden, but some MarketEnabler magic remedied that!
Download it from Barnes and Noble, thats where i got it from.
i cant get this app i have tried every thing dose anyone have it they can post

Thanks man that worked great.
So there have been a lot of excitement and articles about this iPhone Fooducate app that finally became available for the Android a while back. The problem is I could never find it and the Google Market, or any other market, either didn't have it or it apparently wasn't "compatible" with my device, Droid X, and wouldn't let me download it.
I finally managed to get the latest version, Fooducate v1.0.0, and thought I'd make it available and save you guys some trouble.
It does work perfectly fine by the way on my Droid X running Cyanogen 7 with the latest nightly installed.
Just download load it and install from sd card.
Market link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fooducate.nutritionapp
The market link should work for most people. I guess it depends on the phone model and rom you are running.
I still get "The requested item could not be found." when I click on the market link, no matter what version of the market.
I sure I'm not the only one with that problem that's why I posted it.

Availability depends mostly of the country you live in. For example outside the US it should not be available as it works only with US products, and outside the US the barcode is mostly replaced.
I tried it with some of the products i have and none worked.
In other words, if you change the sim settings to another carrier/country, it would probably show up in the market?

Don't know, have not tried it, as this program does not work anyway for me. This workaround works for the Amazone store though so maybe...

Use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1418697 or this: https://market.android.com/details?id=ch.racic.android.marketenabler&hl=en.
Market Enabler worked really well for me.
Took some time to learn how to tweak it but it worked out in the end. got a lot of great apps.
@KonceptB: Do you happen to know if Market Enabler will enable Amazon.com market as well? How does this affect download speed? I have setup a proxy server at my parent's house in the USA and this works for limited access. But the bandwidth is not great enough to support applications such as streaming Hulu. If Market Enabler supports much greater bandwidth, I may consider using it.
will this also give me music movies and books in the market

Hi I was wondering if anyone knew a trusted alternative source of market apps where I could just download the apks of apps (only free ones of course). The reason I'm asking is because I flash a lot of custom roms, as well as using lcd density so I have a lot of trouble getting market and alternative market apps like app brain to work on my phone. Thanks in advance!
try getjar?
Thanks but I've heard people have had problems with that.. I was hoping more for a website where I could directly download apks that are exactly the same as the ones on the market (signed non paid apps only, just to clarify). I know there are a lot of sites with apks but I can't tell which ones can be trusted.

There is a LCD Density Modder pro app here and on market which modifies market apk to solve this issue. Although it's $2.99.
