i am a fan of Dinik`s design and i would like to have one cab with all of his an third parity files together. Is this possible? Until now, i have to install more than 10 cabs and it would be real comfortable, to have only one
Is this possible? I would really appreciate this.
Thank you in advance

Decompose each .cab file that you used and make a new .cab!
Make sure that everything will installed in the right place! usually it's windows!
Is there a manual available for that? I am only an user . I have no clue how to do such things.
Thank you
Saphenus
Search for cab editor, download the cabs you want to have on your phone, extract them to a folder on your pc and then put them into one cab file and install on your phone. I made myself my own cab, with at the moment 82 tweaks and mods in it that I could install in one step. You can see cab files almost as zip files, you can extract and files as you wish. Just do a search and you will find all the info needed.

I talk to dinik reasonably often, Im not sure if he would want this to be done, but I will ask him for you and if he says yes, maybe I will try and chuck something up tonight for you guys, if he was cool with it. Its not too hard a thing to do
EDIT: He's already working on it lol, it will be realeased soon
I suggest search for Theme Switcher in the front page article
a great app, very handy. It backup the changes u made to mania files. Install every dinik works at once then save, next time just restore
Thank you all for these tipps! It helps!!!
Great. Thank you for your support.
Hello,
I wonder if anyone is able to/wants to help me?
I am looking for confirmation of the manila file names for CHT 1.8... (I have been browsing the forum but can only find cabs and not the file names for this)
I have been looking through the files by using cfc-gui but I can’t confidently identify the right files!!
I just want to personalise my own files, initially to achieve a transparent home screen, but ongoing to something else.
The clock files are identified on the CHT thread, but not the bars/panels.
I think I have identified the following files (for not-pressed bars), but on modifying them and loading them onto the phone (in the Windows folder, and then restarting manila, and also soft resetting) they don’t all seem to change as I expected.
These ones do work:
0B7F6995_manila = appointment expand/pull-down grip
30D807DA_manila = thin bar with rounded corners to ‘finish’ lower appointment
0d61c97c_manila = date bar
740dc76b_manila = alarm bar
These ones don’t work:
43A0289_manila = appointment list bar
77BAF4F0_manila = notifications full bar
(if these aren’t what I think they are, then what have I changed by modding these files??!!)
I can see from various mods on this forum that people are able to change the files I want to work with, so I must just be playing with the wrong files.
Any help would be good, and it’ll save me time by further searching many pages of the forum and struggling to identify the files in the Windows folder (which is proving very difficult it seems).
Thank you.
it would be good if there was a manila library on here somewhere - cfc-gui is a really good tool, but it's just not doing a proper job for me on this occasion!!!
PS: I have current version 1.66 standard UK ROM on HD2, non-network specific. My CHT 1.8 is working fine, no issues, I just want to mod it a bit!
Agree with the above would be good if there was a list available as took me ages just to find the default cover art for music and couldn't find the mini music player background. I'm using cfc-gui as well and there's as many/if not more files under unknown as there are with headers which makes it really difficult. I've just been going through them 1 by 1 and I'm going to try edit a few on the weekend so will let you know what I find.
Cheers - any help on this would be appreciated. There are loads of mods for this already, but not many sharing info!!
I'll keep on looking...
In the meantime, if anyone else can assist - much appreciated it will be!
If anyone is interested, I found what I was looking for:
10376502_manila = notifications bar
438A0283_manila = appointments bar
I've attached all of these files as transparent in the .zip below. The only one that isn't fully transparent is the pull-down grip which I have added little grip dots to it so you know where it is, otherwise transparent.
** Back-up original files from the Windows folder before overwriting! **
the clock white background remains white, Any updates of others ?
nice work, i liked it, when ever I flash a new rom I was installing transparencies.. not anymore...
I hope you keep up with this threat...
can you show a picture of this please!!
many people will be much help if you put screenshot..if you ask someone's help try to help someone also and someone will apreciate yours
Has anyone asked Co0kieMonster?

no one i assume...
why dont you share these info with them ...
Is something being requested in the posts above?
I can't quite work out what it is - is it a transparent clock? - if so, which sort?
Aren't there plenty of clocks for CHT on XDA already, do they not work?

I would like to help but I am using Dusk ROM with Cookie cooked in to it and skinned by G10 so I think they are not the ones you want.
Also a hard reset is always a good reason to try another ROM

Depending on which files you edited..... you might be able to get them back by installing/uninstalling/reinstalling CHT..... maybe.....
Which particular files do you need...??
if by chance I have them backed up Ill post them for you... I dont have that many though....
There is a link in the FAQ section of the CHT thread's main post from Co0kie, for transparencies and some graphics restore cabs.
That should help answer some of your questions.
If you have any other questions still after looking at those cabs and files, let me know.
You can go directly to that thread to the first post where the link is, by clicking the CHT banner in my sig., or clicking the link above will take you there directly.
thanks for the responce guys! i'm actually not sure what manilla files they are lol, i just know there the ones which make the calendar and call history transparent. i've tried re-installing CHT but transparency is still there, it wasnt a cab see. i overwritten the original files with zip file on page one. but would like the glass panel look which dinik created. installing dinik theme the transparent calendar/call history is still there. someone who backed up the manila files before installing that zip file could help... were are they!! lol

I have attached the original files that you highlighted a couple of posts above...
in the zip file are the original files if you want to drop them in manually, or a cab file for if you want to do it the easy way - all it does is place the two manila files in the windows folder, and it's not going to appear in the applications list either (you can't 'uninstall it'), its a one-way cab.
Thanks for all your help guys but looks like its not to be. they were the right manila files but after getting rid of the transparency`s and installing diniks theme everything has the glass panels but calender/call history. maybe the rom i`m using is affecting the theme (cleanex rom). but again thanks for your help guys.
ok im sorry if this is posted i have been looking all day on XDA and other forums nothing so far. im trying to learn how to make my own mods im not looking for a step by step guide but more a point in the right direction to some of the programs that are used maybe the file names and types (i have my own image editing program) just looking for a little help i guess. i am trying to make my own slider right now if you have any useful tips or anything please help me out thanks in advance
So you are looking to modify the images? If so this is not so much a mod but a theme. Changing the graphics is one thing but to make an actual mod like Cookies HomeTab or MaxSense, takes modding the actual file structure and the writing of code.
So if you are looking to just modify the graphics and theme of the phone look into modifying manila graphics. You want a program like CFC_GUI. This will allow you to download the manila image files and see there size and upload your own. You will still need something like GIMP or Photoshop to make your own image into a png of the proper size. You can also use a program called Mode9 to resize the size of the image allowed in a certain spot or even it's location all together. There are other things you can do and this would be getting more into modifying manila.
thank you! yeah im more thinking about themes i will let the pros handle the heavy stuff i have photoshop and Jasc PSP so thanks this was a lot of help i will look for that program.
Here is a post that gives a pretty good description on how to edit the graphics.

I used to be able to crank out themes for the Crackberry in about an hour using their creator program...Is there one specifically designed for the Android OS? I've googled a theme builder for Android a few times, but nothing pulls up.
anyone want to lend a thought?
you just edit "framework-res.apk" located in "/system/framework"
Check out the sticky at the top of this forum. You can also use metamorph to make themes and provide for easy installation.
They are just png files use photoshop

Here you go... and you are welcome. This does work with x10 as i have used it for wolfs rom. It might not be as custom as you want cause you have to chose from their selection of icons and stuff.
It is a well made online kitchen for making themes. you just need to get your hands on your framework-res.apk and upload it to the website then modify it and bammo you got a new theme.
enjoy
i use gimp and patience

Hi,
To built comprehensive theme you need to have few tools... im sure there are few shortcuts, but if you know the technique then you can get the edge on making wonderful themes.
What to change.
images- pngs & 9.pngs (most popular thing, 9.png editing is little tricky
XML files- most people don't do this as its little complicated and this is the place you can make Honda looks like a Ferrari..
Optimization- most users just replace pngs without concerning its operational outcome. its better if you can optimized pngs and finish it off with a "zipalign"
Well. its not easy to teach you like this... but you can start little googling to get help. XDA is full of resources if you know what ur looking.
My tools for above things
Images
Photoshop CS5
Run draw9patch.bat(SDK/tools) to get an idea and fix of margin on 9.pngs
XML and optimization
SDK
Eclipse
Apktool
zipalign.exe (SDK/tools)
Good luck....
Hey Everyone,
I'm looking to get back into de-compiling, modifying, and recompiling APKs again (after many many years) and I'm finding it a bit difficult this time around. For starters, why are there so many "drawable-xxxx" folders now and how do I know which folder to modify the .png files that I want to customize? Also, how do I go about modifying the .xml file for an app to change the font color/style, theme, etc.?
Does anyone know of a good resource to refresh my memory on all of this?
Thanks for the help!

Hi,
I've made some, I don't claim they're the best or something, but I think it's a good place to start.
For everything I could think of: [GUIDE][INDEX]How to modify an apk
For colors and png:
[GUIDE][THEMING]How to find in the code what you want to theme
[THEME & GUIDE][XDA]XDA Reloaded
My last guide was the INDEX, in previous guides I use methods to sign or align apks that I don't really recommend anymore. Read the index first for signing and aligning, then other guides
I also have made themes, the link is in my signature, click it to see
