Sure grap it from a system dump and install it =]. that "should" work...
Thanks for the tip.
I downloaded a dump but didn't see anything that was obviously the Galaxy S media player. I think I'm going to give up on it for the moment because I'm new to android and don't really feel like rooting just yet.

I'm currently uploading the app and the media folder of the Archos Android firmware.
I have the full dump, but it is really really not interesting.
The music player of the Archos runs on Archos OS side by side with Android, so no way to port.
I think the only interesting things are the skin of the Launcher and the sounds.
I uploaded the app and the media folder.
In case any DEV wants the full dump, I'll upload it.
Here's the download:

Please upload somewhere other than rapidshare (their service sucks)...I'm getting errors trying to download this. Can you try zshare.net please? Thanks
Yeah RapidShare is awful.. if you're after a temporary home for it I'll put it on my webspace. I doubt (hope) it'd go past my bandwidth cap.

Damn, Android has lacked a good looking, responsive and clean media player for a long time. In fact, I'd say that multimedia is the single biggest detractor from android. I was hoping that we'd get it here.
This actually looks pretty cool if this is what it looks like http://www.archos.com/
why dont you like it max?
I could not get these to work?
i got global time up n running but no option to set time any other file i need to push? thanks
never mind i got it
Global Time is not something new to the Archos. It's been around a while.
ThinkFree is awesome, I really like how it can use google docs.
Maxisma, is there any chance you can post the framework-res here? I know you said you would post the whole dump but I can't see it - 3 download links and they all go to the app_media.zip

Wow yeah ThinkFree Mobile really is a great app - I couldn't get anything else to work though, could anyone else?
Maxisma, what about the DVR Recording? That was the thing that stood out to me on it, any idea on how it works or what format it records to for playback? Any codec that isn't currently supported?
Screw Hero i want this on my Dream.

Cubed (superscript 3) is a great media player.
And bTunes would be an awesome media player if it could fit onscreen and was available to 1.6 users.
has anyone seen a port of this music player, it's so much better then our stock android player.
No but i would love another alternate to the boring stock player. Currently using Lithium Player and it is much better.

As said previously, its not so simple. Many times apps for different phone types rely On other system apps or service .apk files to work correctly.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
As much as I hate sense, I wouldn't mind seeing a sense music player being ported.
any news?? i would love the samsung music player in my lg optimus black!!!
I have a friend with a problem related with music files.
All the music players found always 2 identical music files. One of the files can't be played. But when i looked to the files there was 1 file.
How can I solve this that all files will be found once?

Delete all your music files and stick them on an iPod
Or, provide more information so that people might have a hope of being able to give you some sensible advice

Why use a stupid iPod for that?
Android ftw.
All music players found 2 music files instead of 1.
I have tested with Winamp, Songbird and default player.

It is called sarcasm
Provide more info - what device, Stock or Custom ROM, version, anything and everything that might help people otherwise they have to just guess - and that is when you get no answers, because we can't generally be bothered to help people who don't want to help themselves

You might want to post on the Galaxy S2 forums then - more likely to find someone who can help you if it is a known issue.
Hello highly respected developers,
My name is Nicolas and actually I am Using the Android 4.3 B.U.X created by Tigrouzen I think .. lol . I want to know if it is able to re install the stock Samsung music player with the 5.0 channel for Wave 2 on these custom Roms?? Because as everyone knows, there's no better Music player like this one even Poweramp, Maven 3D an so on... I tried all of the above but I still booting to my old BADA to listen to my music which is not so good for the battery because it discharge suddenly when booting back to bada and because I love so much to use android.
I know it s possible because last time I saw someone posting a stock music player of S3 Touchwiz for S2 devices. I know its not easy but I also know that for you guys nothing is impossible. So If someone can help to know how to install it or someone with a better Idea your welcome Thanks
Just install any other player. There are much plenty of them, that even better the stock Samsung music player.
Hi everyone, does anybody know of a music player that's similar to the stock Samsung Touchwiz one?
I'm looking for a music player that specifically has a widget like the Samsung TW one has, one that you can scroll thru your entire library/playlist contents on the home screen/lock screen WITHOUT needing to open the app itself.
I've tried looking for it on my own, but no luck, and I've tried ports of the stock Samsung TW music player but cannot push to system/app or install conventionally or flashing the zip. I think it has something to do with my phone not using TW anymore?
Does anybody know of any music player that has that kind of feature? Or better yet can link me to some kind of port of the TW app that would work on my phone and ROM? Thanks
I'm running Mahdi ROM 4.4.4 on a Samsung S4 i9505
