Chicago Bulls Boot animation - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

Here is a Boot Animation I made based off the Bulls Intro Video here is the youtube link:
Obviously it's not the whole video where i started the animation is about the :54 point of the video (notice the heat logo on the bus lol)
*edit* I have updated the animation to make it smoother and a bit better resolution and I have made a video of the actual bootanimation here it is:
and now here is the link to the file it's a tad big but in my opinion worth it!
bootanimation.zip
*UPDATE* Here is a flashable version:
http://www.4shared.com/file/KRW4woAG/bootanimation-bulls-signed.html

dope
can u do a raiders one?

if you have a raiders video i probably could but then again so could you it's really not hard do a search for making custom boot animations there is a tutorial on how to do it i'd post a link but's it's been a long day and i'm too lazy lol

Thanks let me find something

What happened to the Links? And how do I add audio ? Plz and thank you

yep good idea just added them
Like the idea of lawnmower man boot anim. To be honest i found it a bit slow & jumpy - probably because it had quite a lot to load in. Also not sure it made it to the end- Revolver 3.0 just boots too fast
Not sure if you could somehow edit it a bit shorter & maybe end it in a way that can loop for the remainder?
Keep it up tho-It's good fun turning an idea in to something you can see on your tablet.
thanks for the input.
I just tweaked it so it runs alot smoother and faster.
I guess making it to the end depends how fast u boot up. I'm also running revolver 3 and have the zip alligned setting on and it runs right to the end and boots into the lock screen. The zip allign makes it take longer to boot so that could be why
Updating with a new link :-D
updated with a video now
anyone like starwars? millennium falcon? deathstars?
then i have the boot animation for you haha video in first post
new boot animation added
ironman suit up scene no you tube vid as of yet i will throw up some screenshots in a moment
The Death Star one looks nice, but it's a tad long. It runs what, 1 minute 20 seconds? Most Transformers load in about 40 seconds (give or take) once the boot animation starts. So half the animation is lost.

[1/6/13 - 6 Animations] MT4GS BOOT-ANIMATIONS [Portrait + Landscape]

Before I begin I'd like to say thanks to Lostsorrow for his introduction into Android Boot Animation graphics. Now, I've been working on Boot Animations lately, and so far I've come up with two device-specific animations that look great on the MT4GS.
Generic BIOS Boot Animation (Portrait)Device Specific (MT4GS)
Preview is a bit outdated, no specific ROM branding is included in the Generic animation.

I've done a couple custom bootanims for my G1 back on like Cupcake, but the format changed a few times and I lost track. This is pretty cool though... I love throwback stuff... And I never'd have thought of a BIOS ... cool!
I would have two humble requests....
1) If you're going to have a throwback to PC bootup, perhaps an OS "scrolling progressbar" style logo after the BIOS bit in lieu of the pulsing MT4GS text (something like what Windows does, and admittedly I haven't watched a Mac boot up in a while, and Linux style bootup can be had with logcat live from Market). Maybe a throwback Andy, but without the whole circle animating like previous CMs... just a Windows style progress bar under it
2) Can a landscape version be made?
But even still, cool as it is now! Thanks!
That's a great idea!
I'll come up with an OS scrolling style progress bar or something similar soon, I'll try to make something original (or let me know if you want the plain windows one instead, whatever looks better.)
I've never seen a landscape BIOS boot animation for Android before, I'll look forward into making one, it's definitely possible and shouldn't be too difficult since I already have all the resources.
I'm also going to update the graphics in BIOS boot, and make the letters a bit sharper
nice really like this reminds me of old school Dos 6.22

A "Loading" like feature has been added on the extras, let me know if you prefer the old windows slider look.
I'm still looking into the landscape version.
Also, if anyone has an interesting concept for a boot animation, let me know!
Thanks for these. I've always liked the BIOS boot animation, and the cm9 touch at the end is slick.

whoa! those are awesome! you can use mine old ones if you want lol! nice work though, seriously!
Could you make a bios bootanimation (the first one) compatible with stock roms? I am running Bulletproof. Also is it possible to make it so it doesn't say CM9, since I am on Bulletproof. If this is too much to ask, I understand. These are great, thanks for the work!
Thanks for the feedback guys!
I'm currently uploading a landscape version, and a version that should work with stock. (untested)
also, I updated the BIOS animation to make it look a bit nicer.
Thanks for this! I like v1.1! Looking forward to the landscape version.
Question: even though it's obviously mt4gs could this possibly work on other hardware that's running cm9? The file format should be the same across devices and this would make it appropriate for tablets as well, being landscape.

I did this boot animation on the G2. If audio works for boot animations on the MT4GS, this would be fun to show off.

I liked the CM9 loop at the end too, I had the idea in my head and BAM there it was. Anyhow, the stock version has the same loop except that it doesn't include the "CM9" branding, adding that to the OP now, lol!

I have a TF201 Transformer Prime and I was considering making a BIOS animation for my tablet as well, it'll look super nice.
Also, I uploaded the landscape version and bumped the version number to 2.0 (the second screen looks a bit cleaner now.) This boot animation should work on any device that's running an AOSP-based ROM (correct me if I'm wrong) since the location of the bootanimation is defaulted to system/media. The only thing that might not work is the Flashable due to the fact that different devices may have different mount points.
The resolution is 480x800 for the portrait one, and 800x480 for the landscape one. A device with a lower resolution might struggle displaying the images, a device with the same resolution would do just fine (but remember, it's MT4GS branded.) And a device with a higher resolution would probably play it smoothly, but it'll look a bit ugly, small, or stretched.
Anyways, thanks for the awesome feedback!

Sweet! I'm going to try to get it running with Audio, I'll let you know if I figure it out ( I haven't seen a boot animation with audio on the doubleshot before.) I believe enabling boot audio is ROM-Specific, I'll look into it.

audio in bootanimations will work for cm9 and aokp as long as you put them in system/media and name them android_audio.mp3

This reminds me...
I had one with audio for my G1, where it had green text appear on the black background one character at a time, but fast. With each character was a little beep. It was similar to the techie computer text effect that Hollywood loved so much in the 80s and 90s.
The text was like "owner info" mixed with "in case of emergency" but the trick was getting the audio to sync with the characters. I never quite got it to match up. In the end, I gave up on sync and just made a generic sound at about the right time, and later it occurred to me that the bootup was never the exact same one time to the next. Near the end of the anim, the audio was always quite noticeably out of sync.
I wasted days on that project. The concept is simple but it is so much work!
"That's a great story, Grampaw!"

That concept sounds amazing, if me or anyone could get that to work that would be sick. The problem is, some ROMs boot faster than others, and a Hot Boot is about a quarter faster than a regular reboot. A working, but boring solution, would be to make a boot animation where the cursor is constantly moving so that Audio would always match no matter what.

Stupid Kitty Boot Animation For MOTO Q...

Here is a boot animation I made for the Q. I first saw this stupid kitty on Rob Dyrdek's "Ridiculousness". I added Perfect Circle's "Weak and Powerless" as accompanying music. Pretty stupid, but that's what makes it good! This is my first boot animation and it came together nicely. I'll be making more now that I have the method down.

STUPID KITTY BOOT ANIMATION SOUND: http://d-h.st/bzb ...SORRY, LINK DOWN...
Below is a link to a XDA member who developed an auto-install script for boot animations on the Photon Q, prepackaged with animations. Navigate to the animation folder and replace the 'sprint_bootanimation" file and the MP3 sound file "Express1024x600' with the two files linked above, flash, and it works beautifully!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965726
Download one of the Boot Animations on the first page WITH sound, make sure you navigate to the "animation" folder and replace the "Express" MP3 file with the one linked above, and the "sprint_bootanimation" file with the one linked above also.
Have Fun!
NOTE: The video is a stupid-looking cat with it's tongue sticking out and wagging up and down...strange...playing to the tune of a Tool/Perfect Circle track.

[Bootanimation] MASSIVE 180+ QMG BootAnimation LiBRaRy KoLLecTioN (6/25/14)

Here is the link. Thanks AbhishekS
The above Boot Animation happens to be an Android KitKat “Easter Egg” Boot Animation, which is my current running theme, I tend to update these Boot Animations regularly when I find something that stands out, 2 weeks ago I had a Android Tribute to Sochi Winter Olympic Games which can still be downloaded.
The Boot Animations featured here in this thread are NON-FLASHABLE, that is they cannot be installed through custom Recovery. They are however, installed manually and I will explain in detail how this is done. These Boot Animations run on QMG file format which are located in your Samsung’s system/media file. Inside your system/media file there are 3 files that I use:
1) BootSamsung.qmg-> This is a rather large file that holds the main Boot Animation, it does not loop.
2) BootSamsungLoop.qmg-> This is the smallest of the 3 files, it normally loops, but not always, it can also be inconsistent and run continuously or end abruptly. Begins immediately after the BootSamsung.qmg often without a sequence, screen may dim as it runs.
3) ShutDown.qmg-> This is an important one, as it plays a Boot Animation as the device “Powers Off and Restarts”, restart is the key word, as Power off will not play a ShutDown. Tends to hold on the last image before device reboots.
While the above are the 3 files in the system/media file there is 1 more file that I use that is found in the system/media/audio/ui:
1) PowerOn.ogg-> This is a sound file that is typically 18-20 seconds that plays music during the BootSamsung.qmg & BootSamsungLoop.qmg, before turning off prior to reaching the Lockscreen.
Boot Animation Sound can be controlled under System Volume.
First, things first when you may be more familiar with these QMG files than you know. When your device was new, unboxed, setup, before Root and Unlock. These QMG files were already on your device. If you have Flashed a Bootanimation.zip, YOU MUST REMOVE IT in order to install these Boot Animation QMG files as 2 Boot Animations will not run at the same time and the Bootanimation.zip is set to run as the MAIN Boot Animation.
To move forward, I suggest to either “move” or “delete” the existing bootanimation.zip file. If you are unsure where the bootanimation.zip file is it would be in your system/media folder. As look around for the “bootsamsungloop.qmg” and the “shutdown.qmg” if they are there go ahead and “delete” them. Go into system/media/audio/ui and look for the “PowerOn.ogg” and delete this file as well. See my example of the bootanimation.zip in the system/media folder below.

Once, this is complete and/or if you have never flashed a bootanimation.zip, the next step-> select a Boot Animation that you would like to try and download. Can either move the extracted files to your device or extract the files to a folder on your device and move them to the appropriate folder.
+++ KEEP IN MIND +++ If you just removed your bootanimation.zip whether it was deleted or moved, when you reboot, your system is going to expect it to be there. When rebooting if your device reboots into Recovery a simple Battery Pull or Reboot will be enough to get the new QMG Boot Animations to turn on.
Remember:
bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, shutdown.qmg-> system/media
PowerOn.ogg-> system/media/audio/ui
Change the Permissions to RW-R-R (as displayed below)

As a note: I tend to suggest using the “T” ie “Sticky” Special Permission setting on the QMG files, as I use variable speeds, max file settings, and play is smoother.

A few things to keep in mind.
A custom Bootanimation works best with a custom ROM, it simply does, Stock ROMs do not finish the same.
There may be a delay between the loading of the Bootanimation and after the Recovery Logo loading screen appears.
QMG files are governed by Samsung Theme Designer, which means there are limits however, limits can be pushed to create the best results.
Bootanimation’s require the use of both bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg (using one without the other will produce undesirable results.)
I am always looking for new creations to add to the collection, any suggestions, any posts with work provided credit will be given.
Feel free to see if these Boot Animations on other Samsung Device’s and Tablet’s at your Own Risk.
Please, give credit where due, there are many Bootanimations here, if I left someone out please let me know, if you want to post my work, please extend the courtesy.
With so many Bootanimations it is often hard to remember all of the sources that I pulled them from, the largest source Developer that does simply incredible work and is simply known throughout the Android community for his work is JaeKarr99 which most of the Bootanimations that appear in this LiBRaRy KoLLecTioN are his, I have simply accepted the challenge of using a difficult themeing system and configured it the best I can to keep these Bootanimations in the best form possible. This was done through the guidance of xessus as his walkthroughs and many many countless hours of attempting this work is hopefully showing a positive. Other themers I will mention are Crakanug with the Black Ops II Bootanimation, PartimusPrime, CyanogenMod with CM, BKJolly, and the many others, if I fail to recognize I apologize it is not intentional nor out of disrespect, please forgive me.
Go ahead and Reboot the device. You are all done. Enjoy!
Let the FUN BeGiN!

Holy crap man! Epic collection, THANKS!!!
So I followed the steps, and it all works... The only problem is the anumation doesn't have time to complete on startup. The splash screen is on, the bootup sound plays, then partway through the music the animation starts. It plays roughly halfway then it's my homescreen. Then when I shut down, the animation doesn't start at the beginning. Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch for the step-by-step instructions, btw!
Here's what I suggest. First, make sure that you are using a Custom ROM, this is essential as the carrier/stock ROMs always produce inconsistent results with these Boot Animations. The second thing that I recommend is on the qmg files is when setting the permissions either in Root Explorer or some similar file explorer application, first set the permissions to rw-r-r as this is a required permission, but also add the "Sticky" or the "T" which will display as rw-r-r-T as a permission setting. I recommend this on the following files -> bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, and shutdown.qmg . Adding this permission tends to hold the file rather than close it, most of the Boot Animations that I've added to the above collection do not use typical settings and of course Samsung's Theme Design program was not meant to compile 1080x1920 Boot Animations it was meant more to compile 320x480, which these BA's tend to carry a larger format and a range of different speeds. The Sticky setting is most useful espeacially on some of the Animations that run extremely fast such as the "Flash" or the "Olympics".
The sound files are always tricky, which I should note this because the bootsamsungloop.qmg is very inconsistent, this file has it's own speed, eventhough I've set it under the parameters, but if you flash enough of these BA's, you'll notice the bootsamsungloop.qmg is the file that often dims at random and can stop whenever it wants. The Thor1 (not one of my favorites) is an excellent example of this.
There are plenty of great BA's to play around with. Don't focus on the size of GIF's as the GIF's do not reflect the actual size of the images in the QMG zips. Feel free to let me know what Animations you would like to see, I'm willing to add anything except personal custom work, but anything to please everyone, after all that is the purpose of the collection.:good:

Thanks! I'm glad you are enjoying them. While I did consider early on turning these Boot Animations over to flashable zips, I felt the process would slow down the growth of the Collection. So, I continued to focus on QMG formats for a couple main reasons.
Perhaps this can be of assistance in at least giving faster access to the latest Boot Animations, here is the link to MediaFire folder that holds the latest and most recent Boot Animations....

Nice, :good: I was just talking to @_MutantX_ about this one as he uses it for his signature, as you can see from this link. I'm going to be converting a few of his Boot Animations over to the collection so that they can be used on other devices/carriers. But, I do plan to work on the mp4 that you shared, I am going to try some new software to capture the best image to convert it, just give me some time to work on it. Thanks for sharing! :good:

Hello
Your "Google" boot animation in post #2...
I once used the same animation but it also included the text "Android" in it. Have you heard of it and do you know where to find it?
I'm really looking for it.
Thanks

I can not say that I have seen that one, I have seen the one with the circles that are in the pale colors as displayed in the GIF, which is different than the "Play Edition" version 2 that is in the Google QMG download which runs the red, yellow, green, and blue colors. If you happen to find the Android version, please post, I'll convert it, post it and give you credit for it (unless their is a Developer or Themer that designed it, which I'll give you Contribution acknowledgement for it.) I believe anyone and everyone that contributes to the growth of this Collection should be recognized. :good::good::good:

Bootanimation

Is there any way to make a bootanimation landscape and with sound ? I have tried and tried to figure it out and can't get it to do either. Well in lollipop at least. I did have cloudy with a bootanimation but not landscape and it had sound. I am completely stumped. I have a certain theme I am doing with my device and to have the boot animation to be landscape and with sound would complete my project. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't recall if I've installed a custom boot anim in L yet... I think I have. I hope I get your question.
But just create the animation content (foreground) rotated 90 degrees (landscape for the foreground), leaving the background OEM (height and width). It should run perfectly.
The sound file is a separate sound file (ogg)

How do you rotate it ? Do you do it within the zip ?

Effectively you are creating an animated 'gif', in a manner. If I take Photoshop as the example:
check out this as an example.
http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/create-animated-gifs-images-using-photoshop-cs6/ or an editor of your choice.
and this guys tutorial
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ac...ions-collection-tutorial-updated-10-19-a.html
You will create you background at the resolution (1080 W x 1920 H shutdown animation, boot animation full HD 1440 W x 2560 H are common resolutions for the G3) you wish for the animation, say solid black or what ever.
If you fully create your own, you will first set up the resolution and make your background color, then rotate the base image. Then create layers for each frame/cell of your animation. As you already rotated you base image to landscape, your layers will also be in landscape. Then copy each cell into a layer.
Create the animation, save each frame out as a jpg, create the desc.txt file, and zip it up, install (renaming your OEM animation to save them, and set permissions 644.
Following the guys tutorial, you can download animations, and deconstruct them, using parts as you wish.
Good luck.
I'm making my own Mortal kombat bootamimation from new game coming out. I have it full screen with a boot animation tool I found but can get poweron.ogg to play sound upon boot on lollipop candy5 ... Placed it in system/media/audio/ui but it is a no go.... With so7nd it would be soooo sick.
But I'll check out the links you gave me so maybe I get get it I'm landscaped instead of this full screen portrait cause it does look a little wonky
