Anyone know an app where you can add sounds to pictures you have on your phone.
anyone? If there is no app does anyone know how to do it on the computer?
I can't speak for anyone else, but, personally I have no idea of what you're getting at. If you add sound to a picture, it's no longer a picture. It's a movie file with a still frame.
Do you have an example of what you're talking about?

I have a picture stored on my phone of someone, that i would like to add sound or somone's voice over it.
I get text messages all the time, of a still picture with sound over it.
When you get MMS like those, the picture and sound are added seperately. On a lot of phones, when you open picture mail, you'll see "add picture" "add sound" and "add text".
Then, when the person opens, they all show/play at once
Oh, and to answer your next question in advance: The EVo's MMS doesn't have it, because the MMS on here ****in' sucks.
Yeah that is what i was trying to do, but couldn't. I'm using handcent for my mms. I figured there was some sort of app to open up a picture and just add sound over it and send away. Would be a nice app to have some fun with if it could be made.
Thanks for the help tj.

I agree that it'd be nice... it just bugs me that it's a pretty standard features on even the crappiest phones.
when you go to send an mms, click menu, attach, slideshow. then when you choose picture, click menu and you will see the option to add picture, capture picture add music, add video.press add music then you are given the option of audio, or record audio. Clicking audio then ask you where to add audio from. Clicking record audio you can record a new audio file to add.

It has been mentioned before but not in a while,
add the contact to favourites
then select change picture through the favourites menu

Tried that. Same result.
I haven't tried it yet but I think the answer was in part that the contact photo cannot be the outlook/exchange photo. Move the photo to your Fuze then set it.

Through Sounds and Notifications. If you want to get customised sounds on your system, you can place them on your SD card or copy into Windows directory, then select through Sounds and Notifications under Notifications tab, just select SMS from a pull down menu, tick Enable Sound and select the sound you want.
Thanx for your response, but it doesn't what I mean. What I mean is when you sent sms, it will appear notification SMS SENT bubble with sound. Now how to change this sound of sms sent notification. Please reply.

Guys,
I van change this stuff, with reg edit go to
HKCU
Control panel
Notifications
Default
Wave
Then edit with the extension of "wav" or Mp3 sounds that what you want
ex. /Windows/alarm2.wav
or what ever you want..
The sent notifications would annoy me no matter what they sounded like, which is probably the reason I disabled the whole thing in Advanced Config. But thanks for the tip, might be useful to someone.
stupid answers
why cant people in this forum, in general, not just answer the question straight away, instead of giving stupid opinions which are not needed anyway? thanks for coming up with the solution the the poster of the tip how to change notification sound. been searching for this for months now.

Don't think we have the need for the replies of the kind you posted either. Ironic, isn't it?
Calm down everyone... This has been posted everywhere.
Use any registry editor, go to:
hkcu\controlpanel\notifications\default\wave
then edit the string by changing to your desired msg tone inside the windows root directory
for example change the default to any wave file you have...

My question is -- who are you secretly recording?
You really don't want to know...haha j/k. I just found it odd that the option was not there (unless I'm overlooking it). Personally, I hate alerts, ringtones, etc. I prefer silence.
See thread in O2x forum (assuming you have ClockworkMod installed):
backup
try

I'm probably missing something dumb, because this seems like a basic thing, and I'm not finding it when searching on Google or XDA.
In CM 11, I could long press on a picture in the messaging application, and get an option to save or export to SD card/internal storage. On CM 12 messaging, I do not get any menu when long pressing.
When I click on a picture it opens in the gallery app, where I have an option to set as wallpaper or print, but still no option to save to SD/internal storage.
If MMS come in as a gallery, I can save those. But I can't figure it out for an individual image.
bump
I'm wondering the same thing to
I use hangouts app do you use the native messaging app or hangouts?
theres no option to share?
try clearing .nomedia files from wherever and recycle the media engine through a reboot.
do you use quickpic? as a gallery app? ,thats how I got rid of all my problems sometimes the stock gallery app doesnt see the new images.

When hangouts first started to allow SMS integration, I didn't like the way it handled it, but they have changed the interface quite a bit. It does let me download messages, so I'll try it for a bit.
With Quickpic and the CM Messaging App I still don't get an option to save the files. When I click on a picture, it lets me open it in quickpic or any other registered image viewer, but they don't have download options, just 'set as. for wallpaper.'
Ideally I like the CM messaging app, and would like to use it. But too many family members can't be convinced to email me pictures at a higher quality, and instead want to send via MMS.
bump again.
I've been using hangouts, but I miss like the CM Messanger app better.
Thread necro because is three months later, and I still have to switch to hangouts in order to save the pictures people send via MMS.

Same problem for me. I don't think there's a way to do it, but if there is, I haven't found it. Been switching to Hangouts just to save as well, pain in the butt because CM is much better looking and smoother. Plus no resize issues without Xposed.
I just started taking screen shots as mms pics are low quality anyways, just a little hack you guys might want to try. Quicker than moving to hangouts.
Long press the text area of the picture message

I found the answer in a reddit thread > Can't save MMS pictures - CM12
"Long press in the text area of the photo. > three dots upper right hand corner. > save attachments. "
counterintuitive really.... but that's the way it seems to work
the attachment then appears in the usual "Download" folder
Thanx for that! Not exactly like that but I found it helpfull so: long press in the text area of the photo>three dots upper right hand corner>message details>tap on image>save.

All you need to do after tapping the three dots is tap save attachment. You are adding three extra steps doing it the way you say here.

Doesn't work for me. I long press on the text area of the photo, click the three dots, and my options are: Lock; Message Details; Select All. Any advice?
Like the OP, I can't convince my family members to email pictures. So I'd really like a working option for saving pictures in Messaging.
EDIT: This worked: Long press the area to the right or left of the picture>touch the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner ( not the menu button at the bottom, each has different options)>touch message details.

Thanks! This worked for me, also. I just use Messaging+ to save them, but like the default Messages more. Have been looking for days...
This is exactly how mined worked. Others didn't.
This post is kind of old but anyways I think this will be helpful for some people:
1. Keep pressed over the subject of the MMS and the options will appear.
2. Go to the options (three dots) and select "Message Details".
3. Select the picture you want to save.
4. Click "Save" and it will be saved into your "Downloads" folder.
You are welcome.
