Hi!
I only found one but it seems to run then I get a black window with some LED like icons and thats all...from what I have found it was not designed to run on 6.5 so I am hoping someone have found a way or perhaps there is another one capable of doing so?
Thanks
PocketUAE
The only Amiga Emulator I have ever found is PocketUAE, available from SourceForge. I'm not sure if (a) this is the one you've already tried, and if not, (b) if its compatible with WinMo 6.5 or not.
The last version was done in 2006 so its quite old, and I personally have never tried it on my HD2 although it does work on my old HD (Blackstone) running 6.1.
Not sure if its any help to you or not, but here's the link

Is there anyway to pull IE from WM6.1 standard (smartphone) to run on a WM6 or WM5 standard device? Similar to how ppl have pulled office 6.1 to run on wm5?
Thanks
So you are asking for the smartphone version for your professional device, correct?
No. I have a WM 6 standard device.
WM 6.1 standard is already out, and it has a newer version of IE mobile.
Is it possible to get the IE from WM 6.1 standard to run on WM 6 standard (or even WM 5 standard/smartphone).
We're all in standard/smartphone version right now.
I assume something similar can be done for the pro/touch screen devices as well, but I'm not asking about that.
Thanks
PS. I'm well aware that other browsers exist, such as opera. I'm specifically curious about getting the latest IE on older devices, similar to how we can run new mobile office apps on older devices.
Hi,
I have found this cab one : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H67GUDE0

Hey guys,
I am a programmer at heart and have developed in many different languages(C,C++,Java,PHP,ASP...). I want to begin developing applications for the Touch Pro (WM 6.1) but I have no idea where to start. My biggest fear is downloading the WM 6.1 emulator messing around with it for weeks only to find out that's not what I should have been using. Can anyone give me some pointers as to where I should start? Are there any tutorials out there for programming for this phone?
I also noticed that the WM 6.1 emulator didn't support the 480x640 resolution that the HTC Touch Pro uses...
Thanks!

Do you know of an emulator for the HTC Touch Pro? I downloaded a program that I know works, and was able to compile and run it on my phone but when I tried to run it with the emulator it was missing the HTCSensorSDK.dll file... something fairly new i presume. I tried default emulator and the Windows Mobile 6 Professional VGA emulator but I was wondering if there was one available for this phone yet.
I want to know the same thing
If/when you find an answer to this I would love to hear about it or see a post on it. Thanks.
There's no such thing as a software-only emulator for the Raphael's hardware, that would be incredibly complex to create for such a task
What the developers use is called a "Board Support Package" - it basically contains all the raphaels hardware, in a PCI card that gets installed in a slot in the computer.. that way all the drivers, etc can be loaded and everything can be tested as it would be on the phone itself.
There's pretty much not a chance in heck of you getting one of those (although if you do, send one my way, I would love to have one )
The emulators are useful for testing generic software that does not tie into any of the features that require raphael hardware. There should also be emulator images to support all resolutions (qvga square, qvga, vga, not sure about wvga/wqvga)
And, here's the link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...52-f89e-4354-84ce-5d19c204498a&displaylang=en
Looks like it does in fact come with wqvga and wvga emulators
Note that you can use an emulator kitchen to add SOME of the htc stuff to the ROM image, but none of the drivers that support the htc hardware will function.
ive searched and searched for different emulators for winmo to no avail. ive heard about rim os (blackberry) running on winmo, ive heard about palmos running on winmo, and of course weve all seen android for winmo. (which is "just ok" for me) but i wanna know where to get blackberry and palmos for my fuze!?!?
First off, this is obviously the wrong section for this question.
Secondly, I am 99% sure that there are no Blackberry OS or Palm OS emulators for Windows Mobile.
They are closed source, unlike Android, which is why that is available.
Also, they were made for different hardware, meaning they would not have the correct hardware integration, including specific drivers for the phone.
There are themes available to make your phone look like these two OSs, but no actual emulators. I don't even think any WinMo phones would be able to run another full OS over WinMo anyway.

We gather Symbian for pocket PC, as initial codes symbian already are but we not know how to create a kernel and to start it on pocket PC
If we can run kernel , big problems with GUI won't be as already there are programs for editing GUI and all other
But there will be problems with drivers

no offence mate but whats this got to do with WP7?
and what happed to the 10 post do-da thingy before folk can post new threads?
Symbian sucks , dont see the point of running it on htc hd2
234
Yes to hd 2, he's what, and unnecessary but it is needed on the weaker PocketPCs such as symbian you can play good games, even on a processor with 434MHz
I am puzzled.
We have Android, Win Mobile 6.5, WP7, Meego in early stages and Ubuntu all running off our HD2. Why would you want to go backwards and ask for Symbian.
For me, it is an old operating system which is outdated. For sure when it first came out, Nokia were the kings in the phone market but now, it is way down the pecking order now.
Some advice.....go and buy at Nokia 5800 for £60, there are plenty around and very cheap.
Greetings All,
I am a newbie to any sort of forum and I wish to express my thanks in advance for your help.
I have been a WM (HTC Tilt WM 6.1) user for 4 years. Just recently I have been having issues with my phone and I need to purchase a new phone, but I totally confused on what to purchase.
My Tilt has the following programs installed, that I use on a daily basis:
Voice Command, Note2Self, SPB Wallet, SK Tools, Skype, Handy Shopper, in addition to the WM Office suite.
These are the programs that work well for me and I am comfortable with.
My question is this>
Can a widows 7 Phone do all the above or do I find a used WM 6.1 or 6.5 phone…will I like WM 6.5 better?
Or dare I say it…an Android?
Since your a windows mobile user and I'm guessing your most familiar with that os I suggest the touch pro 2 or the HD2. The touch pro 2 because it's a user friendly device, nice sized keyboard and purely reliable. The hd2 is also a nice pick it has a 4.3in screen an extremely fast processor and the touch is pretty sensitive/similar to the iPhone. You can go to htc.com to check the specs and see what you like best.
These are both 6.5 wm capable phones and the HD2 can flash wp7. I personally like winmo over android because of office suite but android is not bad either.
thanks for the info...what does "flash wp7" mean?
The HD2 has a very active dev community and one of the things they have accomplished is to port other operating systems to the device. So you have a choice now between keeping it on the stock WM6.5, or 'flashing' an alternative OS like WP7 or Android.
If you bought one yourself you would have the added bonus of being able to use the apps that you are familiar with.
Thanks for your thoughts.
What about the new HTC Inspire...any thoughts?
