Manilla2D/Touchflo

Hi guys,
Quick question, is the Marvell PXA270 processor 520 MHz fast enough to run Manilla2D/Touchflo without lag?
Thanks in advance.
Yea, that should be plenty of speed for M2D. Because the original Touch only had like a 200mhz processor so..you should be good.

I have seen that, but can someone please answer this?
Is that a program or a ROM?
If I install it on my device, will its warranty be void?
THanks

[Q] Nokia: ROM or something similar?

Hi everyone, a friend of mine bought a few weeks ago a Nokia N8. I have a LG Optimus 3D and his brother has a Samsung Galaxy S2. i've already told him that Symbian is dead, and the only good thing of that smartphone was the camera. Now i want to know if there are some Android ROMs or Windows Phone 7 ROMs for this phone, it has a ARM11 CPU, 256 Mb RAM and a Broadcom GPU, i think it is compatible with Android...
Thanks for the (possible) answers!!!

Samsung S Advance VS. Galaxy Ace 2

Hello,
I'm just figuring out which one is better in specs?
Thanks
A comparison between the two
^^^
Above is a spec by spec comparison of the two devices. they are both extremely similar but the Advanced usually seems to have a minor bump over the Ace. Though the Aces lower specs ( slower clock speed) may help improve battery life

I have waited for years but Galaxy Ace 2 released in my country and then I realized S Advance have better performance with similar price..
samsung galaxy S advance for sure
Galaxy S Advence is better than Ace 2.
Don't they both have dual core chips? Or is it only the Ace 2?

both have a dual core but ace 2 is 800 MHz dual core but s advance has bigger screen size and 1ghz dual core cortex a9. and s advance are not very expensive in our country
Galaxy S Advance
I would go for the Galaxy S Advance due to the better storage options.
I would also prefer the Galaxy S Advance.
the Galaxy S Advance win, 4"screen size+AMOLED :good:
i heard a lot positive comments from camera section too
The original S is already better than the ace 2 so you can throw your money now

Galaxy S Advance.. : D
I have an ACE 2 because S Advance wasn't available on my country yet. Both phones can be clocked to 1.2 GHz. S Advance should have Super AMOLED Plus
Had the same dillema and I've chosen the S Advance, becouse of:
1. Faster processor clock
2. Better screen
3. Larger storage
4. Awsome design
I'm happy my s advance is awesome the screen is beautiful the sound is good and the cam is between regular and good my verdict for all including $$$ is **** (four stars)

Galaxy S Advance Screen - Speaker - and Plastic quality is better than Galaxy Ace 2..
And S Advance corning gorilla glass.. Super Amoled
Galaxy Ace 2 PLS LCD
But Ace 2 Smaller - also screen is smaller and same processor but works 800 mhz so battery life will be much much better.
Are the better features of the Galaxy S Advance worth the doubling of price over the Ace 2?

Ace III development

So Ace III has been released 2 days ago. Obviously I will be getting one whenever possible.
Let's start a development thread for this new device, shall we? Let the discussions roll.
eeee VideoCoreIV? ... **** that phone
20% performance gain to ace 2 and less compatibility in games...
But official JB on start...(mayby good one)
hmm I will go tomorrow to EE or Vodafone to see that phone.

No it doesn't sport a Videocore IV GPU. It's powered by a variant of PowerVR SGX540.
Although I would be really much more happy if it was powered by Videocore IV. I have plenty of experience with this GPU from tinkering with RaspberryPi.
Yeah VideoCoreIV is litle bit faster than Ace2 or SGS GPU but overal if someone have Ace 2,GPU performance on Ace 3 will be that same if there is sgx 540..heh
Or if this will be directly GPU from SGS then will be slower than mali400mp1...lol
Mali is better, PowerVR is too old.
Mali400mp1 is only litle bit faster SOMETIMES than Pover Vr SGX540 from first Galaxy S.
One thing is important. Ace 3 have in LTE version 1.2Ghz cpu...this is alot better than Ace 2 if CPU is good (freq. is not all)
Little bit is always better
I wonder what the SoC is.

Thanks for the info. Very valuable. But it's still the 3G version... What about LTE?

Yeah, check it out for me please. I'd prefer an LTE model though.
They must be locked, so I'd prefer Orange -- as I use Orange.
The price is high 350 € in germany i bought my ace 2 new for 150€ -.-

[Q] Galaxy Win I8550 vs Galaxy Grand I9082 - Processor

Hi everyone,
My girlfriend is interested on these phones and asked me which of them is better for gaming/general performance.
Looking at both phones, I see:
Galaxy Grand I9082:
- Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9
- Broadcom VideoCore IV
Galaxy Win I8550
- Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A5
- Adreno 203
I've been reading lots of reviews on both phones and even direct comparisons.
People look at both phones and say: "It's a quad core, so Win is better", but from experience I can tell this isn't always true... In the end it all comes to the processor architecture.
However, in this case, many and many people who reviews these phone say that Galaxy Win has a better processor.
So the question is: Which one has really the best performance?
Also, which GPU is better?
Thank you in advance!
Any help, please?

Why not Grand 2?
Because of the price range, it's a lot more expensive than what she wants to spend on a smartphone...
