HELP!!!!
I have a TP2 running on Boost. As of yesterday the headset icon has become stuck and there no sound... I tried soft reset and hard reset - no dice. And now it keeps freezing.
I have another TP2 that has been sitting in a drawer, it was flashed to MetroPCS and had MightyRom. I upgraded the ROM to 6.5, so now it has the stock 6.5 ROM.
Now, my question - how can/do I get the Metro one switched over to Boost? I've been up over 24 hours trying to get this phone thing figured out. I'm a total noobie, so go easy on me (please)
Do I just call Boost and give them the ESN or do I need to doi something to get it back on Sprint first?

bricked my mogul
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was trying to put a differerent rom on my sprint mogul now it won't power on or charge, I tried a new battery but it still did the same thing. Any ideas on how to fix this problem????????????????
Did you flash a Sprint mogul Rom?
If it wasnt device specific, then you may have a brick on your hands.
I got this phone from a friend and I have it unlocked and working on AT&T but for the life of me i cannot get the Data to work, I have tried deleting and re-creating MEdia Net and It will only let data come through if I remove the battery and let it sit for a while, Phone works great by the way. Please help. My first post by the way, I am running Calkulin's Touch pro2 rom.
Have you tried going into settings-->connections-->connection setup and letting it do it automatically?
I have tried that but it doesnt find a network, I went ahead and gave the phone to my little brother who has Tmobile and he seems to be having more fun with it than I did.
i just ask ATT guy he said you can't use data on unlock phones

sprint tp2 to boost
i am stuck at boost csr and i need help.. i have a sprint tp2 trying to get to boost i checked to see if i have a clean esn and i do and i also read many blogs/forums that are well respected keep getting shut down. need help badly
I called today and swapped from my mogul to a TP2 I got on ebay, the csr asked my what kind of phone it was, I said I didnt know, she asked what the meid was, and once I finished giving it to her she said well, this is a sprint phone but I can activate it anyway you just might not get data. She proceeded to activate the phone, give me the msl and walked me through manual programming (##MSL#, then type in min and mdn), the phone rebooted, she had me try a test call to *611 and it worked, sent me to boost, we hung up and I tried going online, as soon as it tried connecting, it said updating prl, then updating profile, then the phone rebooted, and everything works.
just for the record, this is the sprint tp2, they will not activate a verizon or alltel one. I had mine running the stock rom, just experimenting earlier, I tried doing a ##786# reset in energy rom and it worked but then didn't reprovision, flashed the stock ruu and on boot up it did a profile update and connects fine again.
so the short story is i have flashed a htc touch (and repaired the esn so it would work on metro) and a htc touch pro successfully without any problems.
the touch pro and the touch pro2 are both on metropcs without any esn work done to them.
i hardspl and load a rom to the tp2 and i set all settings to basically match the touch pro (except a diff #)
NOW this is what has worked perfectly on my touch pro.
it is not working at all on this one. the phone keeps prompting me like the network does not recognize it (like if you tried to dial out with only changing prl) i used *228 and tried to attach it to a new account but it is not working.
i am wondering, if there is something i have missed, because this is a sprint tp2 and it has the sim card in the back. i have tried with the sim card in and out and it made no difference to the message when trying to dial out.
i am no stranger to these phones, yet i am completly baffled on why i cannot get this tp2 to work.
anyone got some ideas?
Johnzm, i would post this on hofo see if metro's mafia can help you figure it out... http://www.howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php/335-MetroPCS
You can also try to find your answer there as well. Read some sticky posts before posting.
im not 100% positive, but i dont think you can put a sprint (gsm only) phone on a CDMA service provider.

Sprint is CDMA just like Verizon & Metro PCS
oh, well thanks for correcting me. i thought verizon was the only CDMA service provider other than metro. sorry my bad
I would assume that metro's rom has some carrier specific info in it... i'd do a dump, and see what settings are needed to make it perform correctly on the cooked rom. (only thing i could think of) or take it back to metro and have them reflash it. prolly want to flash it back to stock first... so they do it without suspicion..
Already moved from the TP2 to the EVO, then I had to switch to verizon for signal issues and now have the Droid X2. I was just messing around with the old TP2 today trying to convert it over to T-Mobile. Everything was going good, everything was unlocked and ready to go. But, in me getting in a hurry, I flashed the regular t-mobile radio, not the unlocked one.
As of right now, I can't get the bootloader to come up at all. The orange light does light up when I plug it in to charge. Thats about it. Is there anything I can do before I trash it? I've read mulitiple thread on it, mtty, jtag, etc... but to no avail. Most of them were over a year old. Has any new options came up since then?
Any help would be greatly appeciated.
Thanx
Bootloader
Find the button combination for forcing the TP2 in to the bootloader. The flash with original carrier OEM or upgrade rom, may come back to life. If revived start over on flash and sim unlock to use T-Mobile.
