Im planning to buy a HTC Legend soon, and I just saw on youtube that I can ''root'' it... is it like a jailbreak for Ipodtouch? What that rooting would allows me to do that i couldnt do before? Is it worth it to root my phone? Because it would be my first phone and i dont want to break it already...

Does anyone have a direct link to the rom? I dont want to mess up my phone by trying to install an non compatable rom. I found a few links but they were dead . And if I am able to get this rom, will i have to reactivate my phone or anything? Any help would be great!

Definitely root it first!!! Only then you can do anything that you want...

I HOPE you know that rooting your Magic would invalidate your guarantee and there is a VERY small risk to brick your phone... I just wanted let you be aware of this...
In the XDA forum you can find all the help and recommendation to root your magic and to download the latest Radio and ROMS...

Guys iam new in this amazing android world after a bunch of years in the lazy ass Symbian town :laugh:
So iam not good at rooting and such that is why my friend got my phone rooted hhhhh so my question is how to upgrade my phone’s hboot??? because i want to install a rom that needs a higher hboot than the one in stock .. my htc one s (ville c2) hboot now is -2.09... and it should be 2.11....
Please check the rom((http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2000854)) and give me your answers and would it work if i don't upgrade it or something
