I dont know how many of you all knw about this i did a search and no thread came up so im sharing info. Im running the latest damage, and i found this keyboard app in the market called ThickButtons, its easily the best keyboard out there that ive ever used in my opinion. What it does is when youre typing it makes the keys that it assumes you want to click big, like it enlarges the letters so that it makes it easier to type. Also it never lags dudes. I encourage you guys to give thickbuttons a try i fell in love with it. I looked for it in 1.5 but it seems to only be in the newest market. enjoy this info if you care. When you guys try it come let me know if you agree with me.
Awesome, ill look into it.

Ive honestly never had any lag issues with the stock HTC Keyboard...I use the Android Keyboard cause it looks nicer...Hopefully this app is better than that pile of **** they call Better Keyboard.

Yea, I heard about this app months ago. Just never tried it out. You would think after so many versions of Better Keyboard they would make it better and more responsive.
They should call it not better than stock keyboard lmfao

I would never EVER use Swype. I think its garbage.
I tried this and I had more lag and I'm use to the buttons where they are and when this app makes keys bigger I hit the wrong button. My stock keyboard runs with almost no lag.

Holy crap. The lag on this keyboard is horrendous.
I just went into sms and typed "This is a test for the new thick buttons keyboard". I then set the phone down, and 45 seconds later it finished typing it out, and it said "This id w trdt of thw nee tjivk nuttins keubiatd".
I'll try rebooting, maybe that will fix it.

wow!! we have a few different thoughts on this kb. But &roid rage is a reliable source so ill have to pass. swype, android and htc kb are all built into my rom so this is no great loss. Personally i dont really use any kb on a phone since i hate them, but if i MUST be tortured, for me its a tie between the swype swype, and the android kb responsiveness

A reboot got rid of the lag a little bit, but I just cant get used to it. Oh well. I'm sure it works great for others, just like I LOVE swype but others dont. To each their own.

This is going to be a 100% true no sense 2.1. this means sense frameworks will be gone and the BT wiimote will work. it will also run a million times faster than the sensleless roms now because im not just removing sense apps, ill be using 2.1 nexus eclair stock rom as base.
So until release tell me some app ideas and some theme ideas.
The rest is...
To be announced
you the man thanks again. avabox v2 is great btw. I couldnt get any other deo scripts to work, but yours did. Thanks again for such great contributions....

So since this is ASOP, what exactly works, doenst work?
Also, how bout screenshots? Anyone?
so my buttons on the bottom dont work.
its got the vanilla lock screen (i think thats the name) side scroll to unlock. Also has helix launcher. ASOP top bar which i also am a fan of.
I dont know if 4g works because, 4g isnt available here yet, (WTF CMON NYC)
also seems as if camera has been removed.

well im sure they arent broken, but when home does not take you to the home screen, menu doesnt bring up a menu, back doesnt go back , and search, well i dont use that sucker for anything, but when they dont to what they're supposed to do, they dont work.
I know a lot of people were requesting it, since I was looking for it myself earlier today. Don't think it's been posted, so here it is, the Road SMS application from Samsung.
Don't think this qualifies as warez since it's available free on Samsung phones anyway.

Working on my Evo, Nexus, & Droid, so I would say so
Working on my Desire also
only for high res...
On my Sprint Hero, the keyboard is bigger than the screen, so I can't type half the letters, otherwise it works... now if only we could figure out how to downsize... Seems like a cool app though!
working fine on the mytouch slide
works on incredible thanks

anyone got a screenshot of it ?
It doesn't work with the Froyo port on my MyTouch because camera preview is broken, but it will still send an SMS. They keyboard does look a little funny because of the screen size difference I guess.

Hi,If you type "RoadSMS" with out the quotes on youtube, you`ll see how it works. But it doesnt support æøå as far as I can see thou..
And as long as the contactlist isnt transparent the app. loose some of its value.
But than it works better than the"Type N Walk" app found in the market,at least when it comes too running on the Desire."Type N Walk" has an compatibility issue since the camera rotated 90deg counter clockwise
The consept is great
There might be apps on the market that support ÆØÅ if you search, read and try some similar apps.
ahh, see above post.

Magic/Hero/Dream Mod
Hey guys
I have a Magic 32a so the keyboard was extended on mine too.

Let me know if this works for you!

What device are you using? I can try to make portrait for you if you want. You would lose landscape though, that would require a rewrite to do both.
I will look at how easy a rewrite will be but let me know if you want me to do a portrait only version for you.

As some people have noticed, the regular 2.1 apk's force close everytime you try to open it on 2.2. I didnt see a thread here for the 2.2 version's yet i seen many questions in many different threads as to why it wont work or if theres alternate versions.
I am not responsible for what happens to your phone in any way shape or form, what you choose to do with this is solely your choice. I also take no credit for this as all the credit for the HTC_IME mod goes to jonasl and the credit for Swype Beta goes to the makers of Swype, im simply just reposting the links.

I am wondering the same thing so bump. It seems like the issue is the one we are using supposedly force closes or something. If that what the issue is then thats wrong. I have swype from the 2.1 update and it is working fine on CM6 RC1.

Im pretty sure there isnt a difference between the two. I think it only effects certain users because no matter what i did, i couldnt get any other version of swype to work on CM6 2.2 then this one. If you search the forums, you will see some other people sharing the same characteristics as we do, its hit or miss...

So I am still trying to figure out how to turn on that one feature where you can reject calls by saying "Reject!" Maybe its not supported on my ROM (I'm on the newest Synergies builds).
Therefore, I was wondering if some of you could list some of your most favorite features of the GS3....whatever that may be in order to make your day-to-day operations easier.
Thanks!

My favorite feature? The unlocked bootloader
I've been running CM10 for a week or so now and I have to say that I really miss the tw camera on the stock GS3. I don't know if you consider the camera software a feature or not but that app is amazing.

Yeah I think there are ways you can take it out of the TW ROM and place it into CM10...I'm just waiting for CM10 to stabalize and off I go! I've had it for a few days and seems good! the HDR Camera+ and Camera360 are great too!
I haven't seen anything like that. The TW camera app is what has kept me from going to CM10. I also like the TW calendar more than AOSP.

Believe me, I've tried to get it in there. I've ported over various tw framework files along with it but just can't get it to work.
Let me qualify this by saying that I'm no dev and don't *really* know what I'm doing
MB when JB is released officially for this phone it can be ported.

killer feature
Unofficial AOKP Jellybean is working breat for me. Only ROM I've used so far and I have had zero issues mentioned in its thread.
I hated TW and VZW bloat was too much
Personally, the one thing I would love if it worked right is the smart stay. I love the idea behind it, but in practicallity, unless I have the phone oriented just right it won't work. I've check the camera without moving, and I've had more than 3/4 of my face in easy view and still the screen would shut off.

The smart stay doesn't actually recognize your face. It throws that little eyeball notification in the status bar so it will distract you and your eyes move to "see what it is" the camera picks up your eye movement(or doesn't) and either keeps the screen on or not.
