[BOOT ANIMATION] Stock CM6/Froyo boot animation - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

Finally figured it out. Here is the stock froyo/cm6 boot animation that you see on the current CM6 nightly build.
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource
Make sure to make a backup of the current boot animation first, or have a nandroid available just in case.

seems your zip is incomplete. Ive never seen a 26 KB boot animation

It's a small animation. Works fine on my phone.

"/system/customize/resource"
is the path for CM6?
i dont even see this directory.

[Boot Animation] CyanogenMod9 official boot animation for MDPI (320x480) devices.

Hello everyone!
I've made my first boot animation for MDPI devices. I tried to made nice-looking light boot animation to some older devices as my Xperia X8 or LG GT-540. The result isn't great but it looks nice
There are two versions:
bootanimation.zip - copy this file to system/media and replace current bootanimation
update-CM9-Bootanimation-320x480.zip - ClockworkMod update (much easier to apply)
Remember to copy old one! And this might brick your device. as all stuff here
Here's the look of official boot animation.
If you like my work, hit the thanks button
I think that I put this in wrong section. Sorry for that ;] Could someone move this to correct one?

Hi there: silly question: can i use it if i don't have CyanogenMod? am using my stock rom (am waiting for the stable CM9 release for my phone )
*UPDATED*
I think i don't even have a bootanimation.zip in my phone... i searched in the entire root and nothing...
I've never changed a boot animation in any of my phones, so i'm kind of lost here
Look's good! But on LG-P500 it small lagging)
copied the zip to the sdcard, flashed it with cwm recovery but I still have the normal android boot animation...

The zip it's no to be flashed... you have to put it in your phone inner memory "/system/media" folder (if you haver another bootanimation.zip there, rename it just in case)
And that's it
There are 2 archives in the first post - one to be flashed with cwm recovery and one to be put directly in /system/media , none of them worked until I copied the bootanimation.zip in /data/local also. Now it works, but the quality of the gif is very very bad..much wore than the old cm7 animation.

[Q] OrDroid's Boot Animation

Is there anyway to get the Boot Animation from OrDroid's ROM to Team PkMn's ROM? Well at least on my phone? It's the boot animation that spells out Sense and then the letter flips to spell out Sensation.
It actually seems like an HTC official boot animation? But is there anyway to get it on my phone, (on Team PkMn's 4.6)
Not official, just looks good.
I think it's at /system/customize/resource. You can use root explorer to copy it to your SD card, then replace the bootanimation.zip on the new rom and reboot.
Thanks! worked perfectly after following your instructions! I installed the Boot animation through the tweaks!

How to change boot animation on cm10?

Hey guys,
I have two devices, an Atrix 4G running Epinter's Cm10 and a ASUS TF300T running a Cm10 nightly. In earlier builds of Cm10 I was able to change the boot animation to the Galaxy nexus Jellybean boot animation I downloaded by moving the new bootanimation.zip to /system/media... but since updating to newer nightlies of cm10 pasting the bootanimation.zip I downloaded into /system/media (deleting the old one first) doesn't work.
The cm10 boot animation is gone, but now it just says "android" for the boot animation... which I guess is a new default boot animation? I know in the past if you deleted bootanimation.zip it was just a blank screen.
On http://rootzwiki.com/topic/32749-new-cm10-boot-animation-issues/ blaineevans said you have to change the permissions to (rw-r--r--). Not entirely sure what that means. It looks like you are supposed to take off permissions? But /system/media/bootanimation.zip has no permissions on it. (root explorer lite)

boot animation won't change

Came across a real neat boot animation but it just wouldn't come up.
I changed the name to bootanimation.zip and the stock one to: bootanimationstock.zip
placed it in system/media with system on r\w.
Also checked the config file which says to load file system/media/bootanimation04.zip
Tried renaming the boot animation i wanted to bootanimation04.zip
All i get now is this minimalistic bootanimation where the small letters : ''Android'' are flashing.
I'm on rooted JB 4.2.1
Any suggestions?

This is how I change the boot animation: using Root Browser, I put the bootanimation.zip file inside /data/local.
Not sure about the minimalistic bootanimation you're getting, but that kinda sounds cool! (I like minimalistic designs)

Put it in /data/local and name it bootanimation.zip - it will be preferred to the one in the ROM.

Also tried that, but it didn't work at the time. I'll try again tomorrow. Really want to have this boot animation

I don't really like it haha, it seems like this is a backup animation. Can't get the stock animation to stick anymore
Update: pretty sure I put it in the right folder now but it didn't work.
Thanks anyway
"System\media\" and "data\local\" not working. I tried...
I've tried it. Copied my bootanimation.zip file to that 2 folder. But not working. My phone starts no boot animations. Just blank dark screen. My bootanimation.zip was working few months ago the system was Android 4.4.4 (i think that was 1 year ago). But now that is not working, what will i do ?
My Bootanimation video is here -> My Video
Thanks.

[Q] Boot Animation Replacement

I have the Nexus 5, running CyanogenMod
I was trying to replace the boot animation, which I've done before, but the animation I made won't load whenever I boot the phone
I exported the animation into part0 and part1 as numbered .png files, and the desc.txt file contains the correct dimensions and instructions to play the animation
Whenever I load it into the system/media directory and edit the permissions to allow the phone to read the file, it doesn't work. I've tried everything I could think of, but I was wondering if anybody had any ideas for what could be wrong here that's preventing the phone from reading the boot animation
Thanks!
try sticking it into /data/local/ with and without changing permissions.
