I just finish putting few images together for everyone to grab, I hope you guys like it.
To flash an image:
1. start your phone up in Fastboot mode. you can do this by holding power and VOL+DOWN.
2. push files to phone: fastboot flash splash1 evosplash1.rgb565
3. reboot phone: fastboot reboot

Screen shot would be nice too
Whenever you post something like a splash screen, boot screen, mod theme, etc, you should be posting a screenshot with your work so people can see WTF it is you have done.
Sorry guys I forgot the screen shot
I just finish doing that StellH, I totally forgot to add the image.
just give me a feed back on how it looks, thanks!

(3/6/2010)UPDATE -★★★ My LEO Splash Screens ★★★ Second Splash Screens are UP...
Here are my first FIVE Splash Screens for LEO,
Each one comes in a single folder together with its RUU installer and a screenshot.
How to?
-Connect your LEO to your PC via ActiveSync
-Install the splash screen you like using the RUU TOOL just like when you flash a CUSTOM ROM.
YOU SHOULD HAVE HSPL BEFORE INSTALLING ANY OF THESE SPLASH SCREENS, IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT HSPL IS GO ---> HERE
install at your own risk
The Second Splash Screens are for those who had a problem when the ROM INFO ( RED ) appears reverting back to the original screen.......INSTALL BOTH SPLASHES TO GET BOTH SCREENS.......

So I've been poking around with the forum and the Black Evo splash screen inspired me to make my own. I wanted to keep it simple, something that might have appeared on the phone...So with no further a-do, I present my Evo splash screen... Hope you guys enjoy.
I did include the original white on black splash done by JSZESZE. I also took the instructions from JSZESZE so thanks for those as well.
To apply just unzip the contents of splashes.zip into the tools folder of the android sdk
How-to Enter fastboot mode .... While the phone is off hold down "Volume down key" and then "power button" hold both till you get a white screen with the androids and skateboards
to confirm your device is seen by adb use this command
Code:
fastboot devices
you should see your phone listed under the command you just typed. After that type the next command to flash the splash image
Code:
fastboot flash splash1 sprintsplash.nb
Then you should see that it was successful and rebbot the phone and preview your new image by typing
Code:
fastboot reboot
Legend for other files:
sprintsplash.nb - Sprint Splash designed by me, ceejay3k.
original.nb - The stock HTC Evo Splash
evosplash.nb - White on Black splash inverted by JSZESZE.
Thanks again, hope you guys enjoy!
very nice good job sir!

Yeah, I do think that's because you do not have the HBOOT. That solution should work...I hope, I'm not a big Android head yet..Lol. Just a graphic artist hoping to be both someday.

returning my phone back to stock,
I really needed the stock images, so glad you posted time. Thanks a million.
Beautiful!
Hi so I tried to install recovery, though it worked. Went to boot into recovery and got the red exclamation point thing. Okay, went back to fastboot. Tried the restore to out of box thing thought it worked, it is still on the splash screen after a good 5-10 minutes. I can get back to fastboot. What should I do from here??
please help me! Im really freaking out :\
I was doing this on Kwongggers tool kit
please someone! Im dying over here
Don't use toolkits. You'll only end up in situations like this and not know why.
But DON'T WORRY. Your phone is fine
Boot back into fastboot and flash stock images.
Or boot into fastboot and select the "recovery" option and use it to wipe data.
You can get back to fastboot by holding a button combination...
I don't have my Nexus 5 yet to confirm, but it should just be holding power and it'll power off. Then power plus one of the volume buttons to get to fastboot.

I can't find pages at work since they block most sites here. But google how to install fastboot drivers for your operating system. Then install them. Then click on that link I sent before, scroll down to the part about restoring to stock. That has the link for what you need to download and it has the commands that you use.
And always make sure you read instructions and know what you are doing before doing anything.

The red exclamation is your stock recovery. You just have to enter the recovery mode to access the recovery menu.
To do that, still in front of your red !, press power and tap volume. The menu shows up. Select "wipe data/factory reset" and reboot.
Your phone will be in the state it was when it was delivered to you

Hi,
I am using Nexus 5(rooted). I was trying to customize a boot animate myself. However, it shows nothing after I modified it.
For now, it will show only black screen after the White Google logo with unlock.
I don't know how to fix phone now, screen show nothing. System should be fine. the screen lock is working because I hear the screen lock sound, and I can unlock it. I have the original bootanimation.zip. I can get in the MTP drive when I connect it to my computer . However, I remember the USB debugging mode is off. Is there any way to fix it through computer? Bootloader is working on phone
Thanks
If you have custom recovery, boot into it and adb push
Bootanimation black is common if image is incorrect bit depth. Never heard of it making the rom black too. How long have you left it on for to check?

Would you mind tell me more how to do it? Thanks a lot. I just start to use android =(.
I can get in recovery mode, but there is nothing in "restore" section.
I tried to use "wipe" --> "advanced wipe" -->"system" to fix it on fastboot boarder. And, now it stucks at White Google logo. Not even get in to system now.. Help :crying:

You have no OS now you wiped system, either push or sideload a custom rom or flash the stock image.
Ok. Fixed. Thank you for helping all =D
I downloaded the rom here and put it in USB

Oke, glad you fixed it :good:
Bit depth is important when making your own boot images. I don't know if it's changed since donut 1.6 but back then you could not compress the zip either or you would end up with a solid black animation.
If you use 7zip you set compression level to store

whats the solution for boot animation black in samsumg ?
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I've got some experience with root/android etc, and have lurked in this forum for awhile. Anyways, a couple of days ago I bought an HTC One M8 off of Ebay. Great phone. Flash-forward to today and I got a message for an OTA update (for KitKat). I clicked Yes not thinking to check my ROM version etc. Anyways, now the phone is stuck in a bootloop. The phone starts black and goes to the white HTC splash screen and then stops. Waits there awhile and resets. For awhile at work today I couldn't get anything else to happen/change so I left it and hoped that I hadn't damaged the phone too badly.
I've gone around and done some reading and managed to get the phone into the boot menu. At this point, however, I'm not exactly sure what I should do to get the phone running again. S-ON is showing as well as HROOT, however, I'm not really sure what the versions etc mean in this phone (Had a Nexus 4 previously with root etc).
Any guidance etc would be greatly appreciated, and I can get any numbers/versions etc that are needed from the boot menu. My guess is that I need to sideload something, but unsure.
Thanks again,
Greg
Hold all three buttons until the phone goes black. Let go of all except vol down. Once in hboot do a factory reset.

Alright, I went into HBOOT again: (Side note: Once in HBOOT I can't highlight any of the options so I just press the power button and the phone goes through a routine to check to SD card. As its checking it states something to the effect of checking something; No Gift!; Checking something else; No Image!; etc
I can get a better description of what it states if needed.
Updated Information:
SD Checking...
No gift file...
Loading...[0P6BDIAG.zip]
No Image!
Loading...[0P6BDIAG.nbh]
No image or wring image!
Loading...[0P6BIMG.zip]
Loading...[0P6BIMG.nbh]
Then the screen blinks and goes back to the boot loader and I can correctly select items with the volume controls etc.
Anyways, after it goes through the above process I can highlight and make my selection. I selected factory reset and the phone just powers off and starts going through the same routine as before: Power on; White HTC Splash screen; power off then on; HTC splash screen etc.
Also, this is for a Verizon m8 since I neglected to mention that.
As well, thank you for your help.
Greg
Can you enter recovery? It would also be helpful to have a photo of your hboot screen, clearly it needs to be readable.
