Okay here is my problem.I want to root my nexus one but I am lost.I manually updated it to the latest froyo 2.2 frf91 kernel version 2.6.32.9-27227-g3c98b0d [email protected]#1 and the based version is 32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.12_7. I don't know what to do.I can't find an easy step by step instruction to get it done. Please help me achieve this.I want to enjoy all the goods that come out of hacking.I will contribute that is a sure thing as far as donating goes.I have never seen so many people coming together and helping each other for one common cause "android" wow.
My other question follows.I switched from a Nokia N95 8gb to a nexus one.I forgot the security code I had put together and can't get any type of help from Nokia.They want me to send to phone for an extra 150 dollars to fix the issue..I have all my contact numbers in it.The hard reset the nss software.tried everything.Is anyone familiar with that kind of issue??

I am new to this hobby so please be patient with me. I have read everything I can find (although alot of it I can't understand) but can't seem to solve my dilemna. I have an oddball phone, its a Telus Samsung Fascinate, which is a T959D. I have been told that although it is similar to a Vibrant, it is not the same phone. I want to flash a new rom (Bionix likely) but I have no idea how to maintain my modem and Kernal (I was told I must do this). Where can I read up on how to accomplish this? Are there any roms out there ready made for my phone? Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance..

there are multiple threads related to HD7 getting upgrade to mango beta.
I tried some of them but nothing seems to work out for me as this is all new to me i am little afraid too that i might brick my phone.
So please if anyone can help without yelling try search button then it will be lot helpful coz i already tried my best to find answers from search but there are millions of lines to be read to be able to understand anything and i am in hurry coz if phone doesnt update in 2 days i will have to sell third day..

The mango beta isn't meant for consumers, but for developers. Yeah xda provided this for us but that's it. If you're afraid of doing it, don't do it.
Why don't you actually tell us what's wrong with the phone when you try update it?
Also, try the search button.

i had checked that thread already and what was going wrong is i had phone support tools and even the update.bat too.
i run update.bat the update shows successful but zune was not loading.
then i kept on trying and den finally it gave success although mango is a huge file and i couldnt download yet but the download has started so will do it on a faster ineternet tomorrow.

I want to root my One X because I want Google Now and I just want a better performance. My android version is 4.0.4 and I have absolutely no idea what that is. I had to install an update manually because when i clicked "Check For Updates" on my one x it didn't do anything. But 4.0.4 came up when I finished installing it. If someone can give me the easiest and most safe way to root my phone i'd be greatly appreciated.

The first step is to read.... The second step is to read.... The third step is to read... You don't even know what the android version means? Bro I would take a step back and do some SERIOUS research... You took the update that causes you to flash boot.img through fastboot seperately ....
I mean no disrespect, but you might want to look up terms, lingo, what rooting consists of, and what can happen.. Youll be replacing your entire operating system for the phone. Hello, im wondering to know if there's any Kernel Developer who can help me with my phone.
Due my job i need to use some external wifi adapters, wich the model is compatible with my phone, according the kernel documentation.
I know how to cross compile Kernels but i dont know much about C programing language. So there are some threads that are developing some custom roms and kernels for my model, but none of the devs wants to help me for whatever reason.
I also as before offered a donation to whoever help me with this i will keep offering. I hope i can get someone soon to help me.
My phone is a J5 PRIME (SM-G570M) android 7 stock non rooted.
I know i have to root and maybe to use a custom rom to make it work but first i would like to get help with my problem.
