Remote Desktop on Limited account

I've searched and googled the hell out of this and still haven't found and answer.
I use my Admin account to install programs and change settings. The limited account is where I do all my work. I can log onto my admin but I have none of the files I need.
When I try and log onto my limited account it says "local settings" prevent me from logging on. If I try and add my limited account it says this user is already allowed to log on. I cant change any "remote" options from the limited account. Where are these local settings that I'm supposed to change?
Remoting into a WinXP or Vista desktop must be done using an account authorized to do so. Admins are added to the Remote users group by default.
If you want to add your limited account to the auth users, first login to vista as an admin and add it.
To do this, go into control panel, and choose the System icon.
In there, goto remote access and add your limited account in as a remote user.
- you should be all set.
I have windows xp btw.... but I did all those steps. When I add my limited account to the "Users" it says "this user is already on the list"
Ok. Next question would be whether or not you have a password set on your user account. If not, set one.
edit - you sound like you know what you're doing and probably covered all the bases already, but if not, here's a pretty complete guide on getting it up and running: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/northrup_03may16.mspx
password....... check
edit:
thats the exact page I used to setup my remote desktop.

Active Directory / Account Managment

Is there any free tools out there to connect to AD and perform account unlocks / password resets etc?
I know there are some tools out there that do a whole lot of stuff for big $$$ but I just need something very basic.
Anyone got any ideas? Something like account lockout from M$ but for pocket PC would be great.
cheers

Sharepoint Mobile

Hello, I'm going to be posting this on several different message boards because I'm not really sure who will be able to help. If anyone has any suggestions as to other websites I can post this question on, please feel free to suggest. The other couple that I'm going to post to first is tech-forums (dot) net and msfn (dot) org
I am having problems connecting Sharepoint workspace mobile to my Sharepoint 2010 server. I have winmo 6.5 pro and the sharepoint app is running. I have an unlimited data plan, and I have tested this where my data works fine. I have tested this inside my network and outside also using wifi.
I have one standalone Sharepoint 2010 Enterprise server installed. The server is working. I can get to the website using a web browser and it is running off of port 80. I can browse to the site from outside my firewall as well as inside with no problems. So I know that Sharepoint, in and of itself, is working.
I have tried two other phones running winmo 6.5 with data plans, and office 2010 mobile and am getting the same error.
Basically, I open sharepoint mobile 2010, go to the address sharepoint.domain.com (just an example) and I get the error: "Cannot connect. Sharepoint mobile doesn't support the authentication scheme that this server requires. Do you want to open this in your web browser?"
If I click yes, it does open the sharepoint site in IE.
All I really want is to be able to sync docs between a doc library and my phone, and my PC using workspace.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Under the web server that you have authentication methods, I am guessing you have integrated windows auth or something like that set , and to use it with winmo it needs to be set to basic.
Now it has been a while since I set one up , but I think that is your problem ..
You will have to make sure that the main and all subwebs get changed to match the same authentication ...
One thing I have done in the past if you need integrated for your intranet, is to clone the sharepoint site, and run a second one for mobile users, just make sure you are using the same data stores .....
Moved as not software release.

Android Command line to delete an Email account

Hi all,
I'm looking to delete an exchange active sync email account from an Android phone.
I have the task of setting up mobile device managment for our organisation and so I've been looking at Sophos Mobile Control to manage our corporate devices.
Sophos does not allow to remove an Active Sync account and leave all personal information intact. It does have the functionallty for iOS and it works!
However there is a task to send commands to the phone (see screen shot). So I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way of sending a command line to the phone to delete a specified email account?

[Completed] [Q] Windows 7 Home and User Access Control issues

I am having difficulty installing some programs in Windows 7. I have two accounts set up: Administrator, and User Account. The Guest account is not used, nor enabled. My User Account has Administrator rights ( I think it was set up that way). When I install some programs through the User Account, the files are installed in the Administrator Account. The folder for the app/program will not show up in the User Account under Start/AllPrograms but show up in the Administrator Account under Start/AllPrograms. Thus, if I need to utilize one of the programs features, I cannot do it from the User Account. Through the User Account, I usually can access the basic functions of the program but little else.
I have tried different ways to elevate the User Account to full Administrative rights but it seems Microsoft won't allow it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. XDA can help you with your phones and tablets but not on Windows PC issues. Check on Microsoft's web sites for Windows questions.
