Changing i920 Soft Key w/ reg edit - Omnia II i920 CDMA

Can anyone tell me how to change the right soft key on my Omnia II? After a recent hard reset it went back to that ridiculous Cube app and I'd like to change it back to what it was. I've searching for days and can't seem to find the thread that discussed the process.

I forget exactly where the reg key is, but you can d/l and use keyswop to change the soft keys. I'll look for the actual registry entry, and if I find it, I'll post back.

Anyway to modify the hardware buttons

Is there a way to modify which apps the hardware buttons run?
There are reg keys to change the right softkey. I really want to change the voice dial one though. I never use it, but it'd be so nice to change it to something more useful like a task manager.
Which registry key exactly needs to be changed?
I'd like to be able to hook the two keys which are left and right of the 5-Way Navigation. Actually what are the official names for these keys?

I tried my best to change the "Voice Command/Voicenote" key at the left side (the one below the volume up/down keys). No luck yet. See the last posts in this thread:

Anyone else knows how to remap this key? And does anyone know how to remap the left- and right Softkeys?
EDIT:
Finally found the right tool for doing this. It's called AE Button Plus and it's great.
You can find it here: http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php

Remap PHONE Soft Keys - Not Today Screens

I uninstalled FunContacts, did multiple soft resets, cleaned with MemMaid, and my Phone Left Soft Key that says "Contacts" is still looking for FunContacts and gives me an error message that FC cannot be found. I emailed FC, however, no response. Softkeys work fine on the Today Screen. All the remapping programs out there just identify and do the Today Screen Soft Keys.
Does anyone have info on remapping the softkeys on the Phone Screen?
Thanks in advance if you do.
This worked for me, had the same problem:
Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS
# Change "String 1" value from "\Program Files\FunContacts\Funcontacts.exe" to ":MSPOUTLOOK contacts".
Make sure that you don't add the "" on the new entry.
Still need help on Phone Screen Soft Buttons....
Thanks for the fix, however; I had already completed a hard reset.
I still want to change the "Contacts" soft button on the Phone Screen to SPB Contacts vs. the build in contacts. I have Sbp Shell and love it, however; it does not change the phone's soft key for contacts.
In the registry entry you mentioned, it is totally blank. I have tried to a string that leads to the Spb Contacts, however, the registry editor will not accept it.
If anyone knows how to change the Phone's (Not the Today Screen) soft keys, please help.
Thanks!!

How to change input method easier?

i found sometimes it is very hard to bring out the input selection menu by touching the small arrow on bottom of the screen... Not sure it is problem of my device or not. but as i said, when i need to change input method i have to touch the arrow several time to see the selection menu. so i'm wondering if there's a shortcut key for change input method?
yes i have the same confuse
why all the arrow button is so small in wm OS
iphone's touch button is big ,so i can use my hand easy
wm should learn iphone
Are you specifically talking about the unresponsiveness - lag when you hit that small button. Takes about 5 secs to bring the menu up? I heard there was a registry fix for it some where but never tried it. You can search for it.
If you are talking about the button being small and hard to hit, then I don't know how to help you there. Perhaps you can link a command to pop open that menu and then map that command to a hardware button? Do you switch SIPs a lot?
yes, it is the unresponse, it is frustrating...
i 'll search for the registry fix.
In that case here's one thread that mentions a registry fix for it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301433
Read through it, try it and post your results if it works or not. Note one user mentioned they had to HR, so backup just in case.
thank you hambola, it really works. that registry fix is like a magic

Change Email Soft Key from "Reply All" to "Reply"

HTC TP2, TMobile
WM Prof 6.1, TF3D turned off (as much as possible)
When I read an email message, the left soft key says Reply All. Being lazy, I use that key everytime I want to reply. But when the message it sent to many people, I forget and still use that key. And it has proved embaressing.
I want to change the soft key to Reply.
Anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.
Gonna bump this because its annoying the hell outta me....
Looking for a solution for HD2.....
Tried the reg edits........
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s\ShowReplyAllEmailSK change 1 to 0.
I dont have the values by default and creating them doesnt seem to work....
The touch pro 2 method doesnt work either as those reg entry are not present either.....
Anyone got any ideas????

[Q] Way to chg 6.5.3's soft "phone" to something else?

Is there a way to change the soft "phone" button at the bottom of WM 6.5.3 main screen to be something else? I mean, I already have a hardware, dedicated, "phone" button. I don't need a soft one too.
It would be nice to be able to change it some something useful like "calendar" (renumbering my old WM 6.1 phone).
Left soft button :
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112]
@="Calendar"
"Open"="\\windows\\calendar.exe"
Right soft button :
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113]
@="Calculator"
"Open"=":MSCALC"

I have only 112, and its only subkeys of Default and Open, are both null strings.
I was expecting the left soft button to currently be set to "Phone", and that's what I have been looking for in my registry (ie, I know I'm in the correct place when I see it). I am guessing that for 6.5.3, the settings have moved to...??
But thanks.
