Anyone use this battery? - Droid Eris Accessories

Anyone use the Innocell 3500mah battery yet on their Eris?
Im a new user still (my account was made in Feb 2008) because of my low post count, so I can't post links but it goes for 49 dollars on Amazon.
That's a good price and I would like to pick it up, but I wanted hear some user experiences. I always have my phone at 768Mhz with some profiles for Screen Off etc, but I end up having to charge my phone within a couple hours under heavy use. So this looks like a perfect fit for me.
Any input would be appreciated.

There's lots more you can do to make sure your battery is good.
Is your Mail app syncing very often? Open mail, hit menu, and open up your settings and take a look at how often the refresh interval is. Once every 15 minutes will chew some battery. Once every 2 hours won't.
Hit home > menu > settings > accounts and sync, check out your facebook, and facebook for HTC Sense.
I UNCHECK the box for sync contacts under the HTC Sense one. Why? because it already synced my pictures once. The other option there is to hit the 'Check frequency' to once a day (saves a ton of battery, that facebook sync is a huge battery killer).
Also, if you don't use push Gmail, I'd turn off Always-On Mobile.
I use my Gmail, and even the company I work for switched our servers over to gmail, so I use the fact that it pushes right to my phone, exactly when I get gmail. I accept that my phone will only last one day if I have Always-On Mobile turned on.
ANYWAY,
I have the 1750mah battery from Seidio, and definitely notice a few more hours per day of use.
If I turn off 'Always-On Mobile', I can make the phone last 4 or 5 days. I just charge it when I go to bed at night though. Not a big deal for now.
I may or may not wind up getting the 3500mah eventually. That thing's a tank. I hear lots of great things.

I picked up the 3500 mAh battery last friday. It came with a 75% charge and once it was full, plus leaving it on the charger for another 2 hours as per directions it lasted for just under 40 hours with moderate usage!! Now I can actually use this phone the way it was meant to be used. I am now averaging about 37 hours per charge with heavy usage(i.e. 2 to 3 hours of last.FM, downloads and lots of browsing)

does it fit it the phone fine?
i mean do you have to have the back cover off when you use the battery.
please post the link for the battery i really want to try it out.
EDIT: never mind i found it on ebay and it comes with it's own case and i don't need the link
here is the link for anyone that does want it: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=Innocell+3500mah+battery&_sacat=See-All-Catagories
might have to get this one....

I've had mine for close to a month now. Running at stock speeds (528 for those of you that don't remember ) I maxed out at 63 hours with normal usage. Running at 710 with moderate to heavy usage I get at least 40 hours. The only thing that really drags it down is when I do a lot of wireless tethering. I still get around 20 hours out of it though.
One thing I noticed with it, after it's done charging, unplug it, use the web for a few minutes to get it down to 98-99% then plug it back in until fully charged again. It lasts 2-3 hours longer that way. Don't ask me why, but it does.

It's an amazing battery and gives you something more to grab on to, making the phone more comfortable to hold. With the new froyo roms, namely Cyanogen Tazz, my battery life is insane with this thing.

Just asking, I had my Eris for a couple months and got it replace a bunch of times for the track ball. Eventually I switched to moto Droid but I still have my two batteries ones 2 weeks old the other a little over 2 months along with 2 chargers and USB cables. Also have back covers. The phones I had to send back though. If you or any ones interested so you can switch batteries when one dies that's what I was doing just charged both at night before bed. If interested let me know just pm me.

I have that battery and get 2 to 3 full days before a recharge. Well worth it

Had the Innocell 3500mah battery for 3 months - many hrs of day with no signal, using wi-fi and will last 30 + hrs. with good signal - 2 days - best thing I've done since rooting the phone. Brother got the 1700 one and it was a joke when back to stock battery - get the big one.

I have the same exact one (1750) and I usually get almost two days use out of it (Thanks to KaosFroyo). I have the same reason for not getting the 3500, well that and it wouldn't fit my Seidio case either, you think they would have made a matching case for the 3500, but oh well.
Though I haven't found the equivalent of the "Always on mobile" option on Froyo yet.

I have a Seidio 3500mah for sale if anyone is interested...

I'm rooted and running xtrSense and I am in 3G mode right now and have Location On and my Gmails pushed and I did over 257 text messages today and about two hours of Pandora and it lasted all day and I still have about 20% left. It's all in the ROM methinks because the same usage on the stock Verizon ROM would have left me wanting more battery life and I would have had to charge twice a day. I only plugged it in while Pandora'ing in the car (maybe fifteen minutes of drive time), then worked an hour of regular Pandora on battery.

Expensive BBY battery vs cheap

This exact battery is $50 at Best Buy.
Anyone try this battery yet? I have a few batteries laying around that have all gone to crap and my 1750 from seidio isn't holding it's charge very well anymore.
Still can't bring myself to buy the 3500.
Might want to consider & shop for OEM 1500 maH ?
Haven't tried them yet but I got a supposingly OEM battery (1500 maH) for the Ozone/Imagio at around $10 including shipping via eBay, and I switched it over to the Eris since the Ozone is now used only as an unlocked spare for GSM/wifi purposes, etc. Got it from these folks, fast ship as they're local & was in our mailbox in 4 or 5 days.
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-OEM-HTC-BTR...309517?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a5dd47b8d
It's only slightly larger than the OEM 1300 maH rated battery, but this one fit perfectly as well and with the custom Froyo, rooted phone, giving me enough juice for a full 18-30 hours day without running low - depending on usage, and, at night, I just hook it up to the charger. Plus, I got plenty of vechile & usb charging option while on the go, plus, the spare battery resulting from the switch with me most of the time, so I'm good going anywhere with the device.
I prefer not to throw more money for a 3500 maH battery+cover as none of the protective cover/shield/cases out there are designed for the thicker phone & its bulk, which sort of defeat the purpose of using this relatively "compact" device especially on a side-by-side with the TB and their related siblings.
I just ordered this battery OP suggested, will test it out and get back to you guys some time next week. Really needed a battery a bit bigger than what I've got now, and I think $10 fits the bill! Thanks OP.
I've tried out the battery over the past few days, and I'm impressed. I had the oem 1500 battery before, and it went down in life really quick throughout the day. On normal use, I would only have 20-30% by lunch time. But I took it off the charger at 7:50am today, and it's at 80% right now (1:23pm). Most of the weekend, I was hooked up to Wi-Fi, and it lasted an entire day and a half on normal use. I define normal use as 30-60 minute sessions of browsing the web, and texting every now and then for about 5-10 minutes. I'm enjoying it a lot. For only $10 you can't go wrong. So if you want a battery that will last you through the day, this is it. Thanks for the find, OP.

[Q] Andida battery 1750 mAh (now with review)

Did anyone try the Andida 1750 mAh battery?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260789544214&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Ebay item number 260789544214
I did a search and found a thread in Evo 4G forum with neutral to positive feedback on batteries of the same brand so I figured I'd give it a try.
Ordered one today - will report back in 3-4 weeks when it arrives from Hong Kong
You have to modify it the same way you would with any of the other batteries. I bought that one along with the red chichitec so get yourself some sandpaper if you plan on buying it...
Unless that battery is for the Incredible S, then from what people are saying, it's a perfect fit. I would like to know if this is true cause if it is, I will be buying one.
The one I own is for the EVO and it's the 1800...
I ordered it for my Desire Z so I believe no modification is necessary - correct me if I'm wrong.
I just meant that I read some reviews/opinions on the same brand batteries but for another phone model
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
let us know how it fits!
I have been using the Andida battery 1750mAh for some months. My battery says it's for HTC Vision....and its working, nut not so much better than the original
/Bengt
I don't know, I'm just a little skeptical when it comes to Andida.
Back when I had the G1 (Dream), I had purchased a 1600mAh Andida, when I received it, I noticed there was a print out on the battery (under the label) that said 1100mAh.
Now, it's been a while since I've seen my G1 but if I'm not mistaken, the stock battery was 1150mAh. I know I was mad for some reason with the seller.
The battery did not perform any better than the stock battery did, but for $10, it was a nice spare. With the G1, YOU ALWAYS HAD TO HAVE A SPARE! Or at least I did.
I think I want to buy this battery, along with the 1800mAh Mugen Power battery and run my own comparison against the stock battery. The only problem is variances. I need to make it a controlled test.
When I do this, a thread will be posted with my conclusions...
The review (day one)
Ok, so yesterday I received my Andida battery bought off of Ebay (follow link in OP).
I can confirm that it is made to fit the HTC Vision and is similarly-specced according to label except for the 1750 mAh compared to 1300 on the original.
First off I weighed it and was not really surprised to see that it was in fact lighter than the original battery. My (really crappy, admiddedly) kitchen scale would shift between 25 and 30 grams with the Andida battery and show a steady 30 grams with the original.
I installed the Andida battery in my phone, switched it on and plugged it in at 9 PM. Took it off the charger at 7 AM and turned on 3G at once.
My use varies a lot - I can be anything from a very light user to extreme heavy. Today was one of the lighter days, I think.
When I first purchased the phone I had screen brightness set at 40% but after a while I got a little annoyed and decided that it just wasn't bright enough. So now I stubbornly have my phone set to automatic brightness.
During the day I had 3G on all the time from 7AM-4PM and then switched to wifi which was on until 9.15PM when I plugged the charger back in the phone. By then there was 17% battery left.
I have been chatting for some time on Gtalk - probably like 30 minutes total, sending and received a few text messages and email. Also I have played quite a bit of scrabble (Wordfeud) and a bit of Moonchaser.
In addition, Google Maps, Skype and Viber (beta) were updated today. Played around with the latter two to check out what was new.
On top of the above the usual fiddling around in menus and checking a number of times for official OTA GB (no luck) since I am not rooted.
Apps that have been running in the background at all times during the day include Lookout, ZD Box, Viber, Whatsapp, Andappstore, Clockr and probably a few more.
I probably won't be as thorough mapping my phone use over the weekend but will try to get a representative overview none the less.
Judging from this first day I would say that the Andida matches the original battery which makes it a very resonably-priced spare. We'll see what happens over the weekend.
Hope this is useful to someone out there
Review, the second day
Second day of use was a huge disappointment!
Took my DZ off the charger at 7AM and turned on 3G. It probably saw about similar use as yesterday. However, at 3PM it was down to 15%! WTF?
It must be noted that I suspect the new Skype version to be a huge battery hog. Even when logged out and the application closed it would still be running in the background. Killing the Skype task repeatedly resulted in the task starting up again immediately. Skype deleted...
Tomorrow I'll make my final judgement if this Andida battery is worth anything at all.
This app tells me the battery is 1300 mAh but today was a lot worse than the stock battery. I really hope it was Skype.
Anyway, at $10 it's still a cheap spare.
Day three:
Today was definitely better than yesterday. The ol' DZ has only seen light use, though.
Off charger around 8AM.
A couple text messages, checking Gmail a few times, browsing Facebook, browsing www on Dolphin HD, one short phone call, playing Moonchaser for 15 minutes, one game of Backgammon, filming a couple short videos and sending one of them (10MB) over Whatsapp and finally writing this.
Went under 30% just now, 10.15PM.
Probably just a tad worse from what I would expect from the stock battery.
Conclusion as of today is that this battery is a cheap replacement/spare but definitely not 1750mAh as advertised and Skype is a batteryhog.
Will report back if tomorrow offers any miracles and in the meanwhile comtemplate if a Mugen is worth spending the extra bucks on.

Thanks for the review. Might be something to check out for.
Just got mine today. From ioomobile. They've got it on sale for $17 + free shipping (on their website) or $19 from eBay.
See how it runs over the next few days. Usually get around 35 hours (light/minimal use) or so on miui 1.7.8 on stock battery.
I'll post back after a day or two and report if it's any better.

I had to go back to cm7 because miui drained 2xs as fast
Edit

If you've got the battery drain on 1.7.8 here's the fix (install as a regular app and restart)
Hope it helps. Worked for me, had terrible drain before the fix.

for a stock fit this would be the best, if you want a larger battery with back then I would recommend their 2700
I've received my 1700 momax battery last week and it's very good!
2 days with medium usage and CM7
Could someone pls do a real test? white screen, max brightness screen on time till shutdown compariaon would be great. everything else ia just not really compareable.
I've had my Momax 1700 mah battery for about 3 weeks now and it's performing well. I have a noticable increase in battery life, deffinitely more than a day, up to almost two days depending on usage.
I'm not a heavy user, main usage would be a few calls, internet and bit of video/movie viewing a day.
I'm on Juwe's 5.3 ROM with a Semaphore 1.5/1.6 kernel. Am also just trying the latest GalaxianGT kernel and seem to be getting similar battery life.
"1e charge about 8 hours from full then drain thil empty"
what do you mean? a full battery then charge it again 8 hours? or charge it with external device? i dont understand. the rest makes sense but this is....
Got this battery from ebay (ioomobile user). I have it in my possession for one week now. It went through 3 full charge/discharge patterns and the beefed capacity is getting noticeable now. I'm easily getting 2 days out of my phone (~36 hours) compared to ~24 I was getting with the one year old original battery. I'm actually using my phone daily for music - emails - web browsing having the display on for about 3 hours/day.
I highly recommend this battery nor necessarily to the recent SGS owners but more to the ones having these gadgets for about one year .

{REVIEW} Feipusi 2200mAh battery

I ordered this battery off eBay a few weeks ago from HK.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/170700946395?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I received the battery a little over a week ago. I immediately charged the battery overnight (at least 12 hour charge) and popped it in the morning. Throughout the day I normally; check my email, a few couple minute phone calls, some web browsing, updating apps through the market, maybe a few videos, and streaming music, and texting pretty much all day.
The battery seemed to be doing just as good as stock. Now after a few charge cycles I believe the battery is doing better.
I can easily get a day out of it on average.
Two days I was sick, so I just text a few times throughout the day and played a few games on the phone.. I got 48 hours out of the battery.
I tried killing the battery one day by watching videos, streaming music and playing games for maybe 6 hours and I still had about 25% left.
For only $6 shipped (it takes about 2 weeks to get from HK) I believe it is a good deal. I keep my stock battery charged as a backup, but so far haven't needed it. When I get home from work I normally still have 30 - 40% left and just throw it on the charger and take it off when I wake up.
It sure is nice not to have to worry about bringing a charger everywhere I go.
I am really surprised that the 450mAh increase made that much difference.
The battery also feels a little lighter.. I don't have a scale to weigh it on, but it does feel slightly lighter
Running R3velation ROM, Overclocked to 1.6GHZ - ondemand (voltage control), Undervolted -50v @ 100,200,400, sync is set at once a day I believe, automatic brightness, using WIFI only when needed, and GPS almost never
Overall... very satisfied.
PS.. my wife got her 3500mAh battery for her captivate. She is easily getting 2 days out of her battery.. I wish I could use it on my Infuse, but I use the Otterbox case... so it will not fit..
I got 2 of these for backup for my wifes and my phone. I use mine all the time. A bit better than the stock battery and for the price was very hard to beat.
Great find, thanks!

Thanks for sharing. I had one of the double sized batteries with the extra back, but the battery wore out after only 6 months. I might just go for one of these.
I bought this battery after reading this thread. The battery is slightly more heavier. The battery life seems to last longer when the cell phone is in use but when the phone is on standby the battery dies quicker then the oem battery. Weird.

Those of you needing to know whats going on inside your battery, you need to find "Spare Parts" on the Market/Play Store.
There is a very in-depth app inside called simply "Battery Information"
There you will not only find your % of charge, but battery voltage and temperature, battery health and time since last boot.
Li-Ion batteries are tricky as they require no more than 4.2v, anything more can destroy the battery. Also, the cell is made to operate to no less than 3.0v, any less and the cell will "go to sleep", meaning it won't take a charge unless forced to do so.
Just some FYI, I did my homework on Li-Ion technology and figured I'd share a little...
Looking for a hi-capacity battery
I'll have a look at this....

[Review] Anker 6400 MAH extended battery

I love my Note 4 and the battery life is way better on the stock battery than plenty of other phones but there are times I need to run longer between charges and so I picked up an Anker 6400 MAH extended battery currently $26.99 through their power user program. I had the Anker 7200 MAH with my Galaxy S3 so I was hoping for another great experience. Similar to when I reviewed the 7200 I will use the following apps to accellerate testing to a resonable timeframe and then do a real time test:
1) battery drain
2) Gsam battery monitor
Unfortunately there was no included case so I ended up ordering the hyperion tpu case which really is not much more than a skin case but there are no Seidio or other extended battery cases right now. With the included cover on the phone the back is a little slicker than I like and I would be concerned that I might send it flying pulling it out of my pocket, something to keep in mind. So first, here are some pix
So in checking the battery is around 1.8 oz more and it does make the phone bigger. When I got it, there was around 56% battery so I immediately threw it on the quick charger and in an hour it was full.
I put on the battery drain around 730PM and around 1:43 it was depleted, put it back on the samsung charger and it was back to full before between 3 and 4 am. It almost seemed to charge faster than the OEM battery with no rounding of the charging curve at all.
during the accelerated discharge it got around 6:15 hr at full brightness with everything, wifi, bluetooth ect running as well.
So next I put it to normal use. As I mentioned in OP the case is slippery so I had it sitting on my desk while working rather than in my pocket. It got around 3+ hours a day of use and ended up with 7:15 of screen on time, 20 hrs of wifi and 34 of 4G. The graph shows a break, at that point I got my new 128GB micro sd card and the phone shut off while I switched it and i did not initially realize it. when i turned the phone back on the charge went up. That did not happen then next time I had to reboot but that is why it says 104%. The reason the graph says 3 days is because it is going from the last time a battery was charged full. and since I had a standard battery on for a day or so it added that time in but you can see monday morning to wednesday afternoon. For the period from 5% to 1%, it ran over an hour and I was using the screen continuously at that point. but it doesn't appear to be like the ZL that runs for a day at 1%. What I want this battery for is travelling so I don't have to dig my external battery up or even carry it on every trip, and with 7+ hrs of screen I will be able to get to either coast and still have enough battery for navigating once I get there.
Sir. Where is the Review???

The reason the graph says 3 days is because it is going from the last time a battery was charged full. and since I had a standard battery on for a day or so it added that time in but you can see monday morning to wednesday afternoon. For the period from 5% to 1%, it ran over an hour and I was using the screen continuously at that point. but it doesn't appear to be like the ZL that runs for a day at 1%. What I want this battery for is travelling so I don't have to dig my external battery up or even carry it on every trip, and with 7+ hrs of screen I will be able to get to either coast and still have enough battery for navigating once I get there.

I haven't seen any batteries with higher capacity that fit the stock cover.

one other thing, i did notice that the battery states it is compatible with Verizon, AT&T, and T-MO not sure why sprint is not listed but in case you have a sprint phone, i'd check with Anker before buying just in case.
