sync folders - Android Apps and Games

hi,
i have a desktop and a laptop and have a couple of folders synced by microsoft live sync. is there an android app to sync some of these folders to the sd-card of my htc desire?
if not, is there an app, that can sync some folders on my desktop to my htc desire on the sd-card. i tryied dropbox, but you can only sync the dropbox folder. if you want to sync a folder outside of it, you have to work with junctions / hard links, that's not what i want to do.
i want to sync my photo folder of the sd-card to my desktop and some folders with excel and word files.

I'm on a Mac, but in my Dropbox prefs, you can define the folder for it to use. If that's the case on your platform, you should be able to set it to the same folder Microsoft Live Sync uses...

SYNCHRONISING

How do I set up my XDA so that the synchronised files folder gets stored on another driver other than the C:\.
I have 2 hard drives on my machine and want it stored on the other one.
Thanks.
it will always sync with the dir you get in my documents
but on a pc you can always change the location of my documents
if you change that to your other disk activesync will sync with that
use tweakui to change the my documents location

Syncronizing Outlook calendar with .pst

Hi guys!
I need yous help or comments here.
I have PPC WM6, Outlook 2003.
I have downloaded a .pst file for a sports tournament here in South Africa.
I have imported it to my Outlook calendar, and the appointments appear on my PC, but does not sync to my PPC.
I saw something about a PPC not being able to sync personal files etc.
I wanna know, is there an easy way to get the PPC to sync the Appointments to my PPC. I saw some software and stuff, but not sure if there is a easy way to do it?
Can someone help here??
Thanks guys!
I have included a Screenie of how my setup looks! Thanks!
Anyone that can help with this please!
I think there should be some thing in Outlook configuration for selecting your main synce source files. may be outlook only sync your ppc with your default pst file.

Thats indeed what happens.
But how do i get that part of the Calender to sync with the main .pst?
I did in once before, but i used a different .pst file, i think that was configured to link upto the main pst.
Its strange, becuase this .pst that i loaded for the sports event created a second type of calendar, i dont know how to set it to sync with main!
Any ideas??
Thanks guys!
As I understand it, ActiveSync, will only sync the default folders in your OutLook account, i.e. the ones in your exchange server. However, you can specify to Outlook to deliver new mail, appointments, etc. to a pst file automatically, thus making the folders (calendar, contacts, mail, etc.) in the pst file available for syncing to the PPC. This is they way I have setup my PC at the moment. Merely "importing" the pst file to Outlook will not change the default folders that are used to deliver new items and to sync with the exchange server and the PPC. This is why you can see the 2 calendars side by side. If you only want to have some specific appointments made available to the PPC I would recommend just copying them to the default calendar folder.

Hi!
Where is the default calender folder located?
Thanks alot!
(If i copy this .pst to that folder, will it sync??)
Thanks
I'm afraid is not that simple... In the screenshot my PST folders (personal) are on top and my default Outlook Folders are below. In your case your default folder is "CALENDAR" and your PST Folder is "Super 14". Simply copying the folder inside outlook will just create a "Calendar2" folder below the default one. The easiest way would be:
1. Open the "Super 14" Calendar which contains the appointments you want to sync to the PPC.
2. Change the VIEW to "ALL APPOINTMENTS".
2. Then, EDIT -> SELECT ALL.
3. Now you can either EDIT->COPY and EDIT->PASTE them into your "CALENDAR" folder OR move (EDIT->MOVE TO) them there. BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT ONCE THEY ARE MOVED IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THEM FROM THAT CALENDAR, OR TO RETURN THEM TO OLD ONE.
Try it first with a couple of appointments and see if you can sync them to the PPC.
Make a copy of your PST file first, so you can go back if it gets screwed up.

My Dropbox as a perfect sync for Mac,PC and Mobile

Just wanted to share this. For those using Mac and PCs to sync their mobile device. This is a solution to sync files and folders you want to use in all three platforms. I use the Missing Sync on my Mac and also My Dropbox for synching files between my Mac and PC. Now to keep files synched on my mobile too I chose the My Dropbox folder as the folder to sync in Missing Sync. This way all three plaforms keep my files synched all the time. Maybe some of you are doing this... thought I would just share it.

Do you know any good free app to sync my PC Pocket and my PC. Because "Missing Sync" isn't.
Missing Synch is only for the Mac platform. For synching only PC you have the Active Synch from Microsoft, that should do the job.

HTC sync not syncing all documents in target folder

I have come across an issue where HTC sync does not sync all the documents that are specified in the folder to sync from the PC to the phone - it takes MS office documents - but it does not take Open office file extensions - any reason for that? - a sync programme should not care about file extensions???
Found this thread from a wide Google search.
I have exactly this problem. New HTC Amaze on T-mobile, downloaded latest HTC Sync, and have successfully synced calendar and contact info <-> with Outlook 2003 ( XP PRO). I enabled option to sync Documents from PC, pointed it at a new folder, and it synced only some documents and two sub-folders to /mnt/sdcard/My Documents/Documents/l/Documents and Settings/[username]/[device name] documents/ (whew what a arcane path!). (Yes, \My Documents\ is mounted on drive L: to keep volumes clean.) ... Back to the story. It left out a third sub-folder that contained .WAV, .AAC, and .MP3 files. Tried resyncing a few times. HTC Sync of course offers no fine granularity options, nor even a user guide on the Help menu.
I miss Nokia PC Suite already (12 days with an Android, yes, I am a Major Noob).
Anyone determined why HTC Sync behaves this way? Or ... ... got a better way to do this automagically on USB cord, Wifi, or Bluetooth connection? (Definitely want auto-syncing, not just manual file transfer, that I can manage.) TIA.

[Completed] Synchronize two folders on Android with all subfolders + files in them? Not PC-Cloud!

The question is about synchronizing two folders residing on Android phone itself.
I've spent hours experimenting with no success.
I found programs syncing two single folders but not syncing all sub folders and contents inside subfolders multiple layers deep.
Programs offer cloud and PC synchronization but what about simply two folders both inside the Android phone, with no internet or any other connection necessary?
The obvious goal being synchronizing removable SD Card folder content with internal SD card folder content.
I've tried Google Playstore search and I have a headache from hours of not being able to do a simple two folder sync using programs that claim they are sync programs - but they can't sync two folders with subfolders inside them. I don't want to sync with PC. I don't want to sync with the Cloud. Just simple two folder sync in Android.
