Verizon MMS Help
Try these cabs, they should solve all of your problems, they worked like magic for me because I have Verizon too... For better and faster help w/ a CDMA TP2 try PPCGeeks!
I've never had to install any additional cabs to get MMS working on any of NRG's rom.
As long as I did the carrier provisioning for Verizon under "Tools" it has worked.
Finally got my MMS back

Can anyone please show me a thread for the Boost Mobile flashed phones like the HTC TP2 where I can get help? I have a Boost flashed tp2 on energy ROM as well and I got the mms fix cab on my phone. I can send and receive pic mail but when my hubby gets the pic mail from me, its like blank! Can anyone explain that to me? I have the Arcsoft software too which is the mms fix.

i am running wm6 most beautiful addition on my g4 cid locked device and i cant get the mms to work if by any chance anyone has figure this out on t mobile USA it would be greatly appreciated..or if they could re right the guide that t mobile has that would be fantastic.
http://tmobileus.wdsglobal.com/mms?...mobileNumber=&captchaEnabled=true&service=mms
thats the t-mobile guide
thanks in advance
The T-Mobile guide is written for a device still using a T-Mobile ROM which is why it doesn't seem to make sense when you're using WM6.
I have an MDA and I've also had issues getting MMS to work under any WM6 ROM I've tried so far.
If anyone has any suggestions...
Dave
The TMobile Settings Guide in that link WILL still work. I am running Faria's WM6 ROM (quite happily I might add), just did the TMo settings myself on my CID unlocked TMo MDA about half an hour ago and MMS is now working again.
Just do EXACTLY what the directions say and your MMS will work again.
I did EXACTLY word for word and my MMS still not working...it starts to send then just dies out....and msg is moved to the drafts folder.

I have to ask since I had the same problem at first...
Did you try a manual power cycle (not pressing the soft reset button on the side or a software soft reset but actually pressing the power button for 3 seconds, letting it sit off for a few seconds and turning it back on)?
I found that with the Faria ROM, to get some changes to "stick" you have to power cycle your MDA after each and every change. Takes a while and it's a PITA, but it has solved 99% of the problems that I was having with the ROM.
If you HAVE done that already, then I dunno what to tell you guys...my condolences? JK but there has to be a permanent fix or a CAB out there somewhere...
Well, I hadn't tried the full reset was just doing a soft reset. Tried it and still same. I don't know what the issue is....lot of people are not able to send MMS. Text messaging works fine. I'll just keep trying to mess with it and hope someone finds a solution before I do.

I finally remembered what the "deal" is... the MMS instructions for TMobile has a minor error:216.155.165.050 should be:216.155.165.50
Note the lack of the zero before the .50
Give it a whirl, let me know.
--M
PS I added it to the Wiki for the next time I forget how to fix it.
Hmmm... I'll have to give that a shot. I've been using the 050 per the steps and all it would do when I tried to send a test MMS was move the message to the drafts folder and never send it.
I've got the normal T-Mobile ROM on my MDA right now and I plan on flashing it over to the Faria ROM later on today.
I'll post the results when I'm able to test it.
Dave
.50 NOT .050 : BUT Crossbow receives SMALL MMS pictures
I agree. I ran into the same problem with my very first Crossbow rom. Changing the server gateway is 216.155.165.50
NOTE it ends in .50 not .050 . This worked for me
BIG problem with crossbow roms right now: Receiving pictures messages are VERY small. They will be downsized to 160x120 and less than 15kb. 'til this day i still haven't figured out how to fix that. At first i thought it was the Arcsoft registry settings, but i have meddled through the arcsoft registry settings so many times. I think there is something else in the crossbow roms that is capping the receiving size. I have set all receiving registry settings to receive pictures in their original form or 640x480, but they still keep coming at 160x120. You can test this by sending a picture to yourself (note its size before sending it) or having someone else send you a picture. Good luck!
Hot Diggity Dawg!!
It worked like a charm. Sweeeet! Thanks for the help. I didn't even think about the server being wrong, I figured T-Mobile knew what they were doing. Guess not. XDA Dev got 'em beat.
Yep, using .50 instead of .050 worked fine for me here, too. Thanks!
Dave
are you able to send and receive? i am only able to receive. i have followed the instructions and am still not ablt to send. i am using the t-zones plan with proxy...

I sent to my old Verizon phone (which is still working until the 23rd so I've been using it as a test phone lately) and it worked fine. I sent a picture I took with the Verizon phone to the MDA and it received. However, I did get the 160x220 or whatever size it is on the MDA. It works, though. I'll worry about other issues later.
Something I am noticing now is that whenever I connect using IE, it uses the MMS profile I set up instead of the GRPS one I set up first. It works, so no big deal. I guess.

Outgoing files from the MDA will be in full size. But for some reason, with the new crossbow roms, all INCOMING pictures will the thumbnail size (160x120). This is NOT normal. If you use the standard roms, or Xelecins Custom 2.26 rom, you will notice that you get the full size image. I have been trying to find a fix for this ever since the first cooked crossbow WM6 rom... its annoying

My friend just sent me a picture through MMS and it cam through at 320x240. How is this possible you ask? Under your MMS configuration, >preferences
There is a drop down menu that allows you to choose the photo resolution. Just pick "orignal" instead of the default setting

ok, so i set this up on my TYTN (with WM6, thx to this sweet forum).
a buddy with a moto q on sprint tried to send me a pic, but it came as a text with a http link (to sprintpcs.com). i suspect that issue was on his end.
heres the kicker - i hit the link, and IE opened, and went to the page, even though I had wlan off (i.e. it used the picturemessage connection to get there)! i tried going to google, and that worked as well! is this some form of t-zones or tmobileweb? i only have the 1000 min family plan, and i don't have any internet services added to my account. could this actually be some form of simple free proxy-based web browsing?
...or am I going to get bent over on my next bill for some previously unknown pay-by-the-kb-or-minute fees...
please advise.

Mine has been set to original and on occasion 640x480. It makes no difference. They all come in at 160x120 or smaller. Are you sure u're using crossbow WM6? Cuz so far, i've been hearing other ppl with the same problem. We all have our settings at "Original"
All pics coming in to me with MBE, mUn, and Faria WM6 roms come to me 160x120 (and I've had a couple come in smaller than that even). I'm set to Original, and I've even changed it to other settings and back again. Can't seem to figure out why this is happening.

Thanks for the reply. Does the per minute data usage work the same as the voice usage (i.e. if I have unlimited nights and weekends for voice, would the same apply to data)? Or is this a seperate rate? Is there a page detailing this at the T-Mobile site somewhere? I searched for the better part of an hour and could find no specifics.
Thanks in advance.

I have tried to mess around with 6.1 lately and for some reason I am not able to figure this out.....
I get everything working, for what I think but then I keep having problems with the MMS. I will send my wife a test message and it takes over 3 hours to get to her. When I am running WM6 with radio 1.27.14.09 it works fine, takes less then 2 minutes to get to her phone.
Now before you start grilling me, I have done a google search. I have found problems such as
1. unable to send at all - not my problem
2. MMS not working - not my problem again (works just really slow)
3. Use this cab, use that cab, I have tried them all they don't change the issue
4. Make sure your going through MEdiaNet - I am
So what I am asking, is anyone else experiencing this problem???? The only thing I have looked into is it possibly an arcsoft issue???
I don't know if this will help, but I'm finding that with the 6.1 roms on AT&T that if you allow the Network Configurator to run, various things don't seem to work quite right. I was having issues with WeatherPanel not working on the AT&T network. I've now flashed 3 different 6.1 roms in the last couple of days and did not allow the network config to setup the AT&T settings, and then disabled it (when the next screen came up). After doing this, I then ran the remove hidden proxy cab and the WAP/MMS setup cab and then did a soft reset. Now MMS works fine (I never had the 3 hour delay you described, but I did have other issues with MMS on some of the roms) and WeatherPanel also now works (haven't had a problem with it in over 24 hours where before it might or might not work, then would stop working a few hours later).
Like I said, may not help your situation, but something to consider and try.
NOTE: The method I just laid out will NOT set up isp.cingular. Only Cingular GPRS and MEdiaNet. This is how I used to always run my Wizard and dumped the $40 per month PDA Connect plan for the $20 per month Unlimited MEdiaNet.
I could hug you!!!! Oh my god, do you feel my love...do you feel me humping your leg!!!!!! It worked,,,,absolutely amazing....Thank you!!!!
Glad it worked for you, but wow, not sure about the extent of the emotion you are sending in my direction... LOL
So for future people that hit this, did you remove the other settings, just install these two cabs, hard reset and follow my above directions, or what? Just curious myself as I'd like to get to the bottom of what goes wrong (or is missed) with the Network Configuator process for AT&T.
To tell you the truth, it stopped working later that night!! I had Dutty's ROM installed , hard reseted , installed the two cabs and it worked. Then I tried sending another pic to make sure it worked about 10 minutes later.... I took 5 hours to get to my wifes phone....
It has to do something with the radio's. I tried a bunch and none work. I'll just wait till the Official 6.1 comes out for ATT and look at the settings.....
Thanks anyways!!!
if your phone said message sent then it arrived 3 hours later to the recipient then its a network problem not really to do with your phone but just incase look at other radios.

Looks like this just changes some TCP parameters and such. Is that correct? So you would use this in addition to the WAP MMS cab I posted earlier I assume.

It changes some TCP parameters and puts in the IP header compression and the DNS servers.
I really do not know what the problem is.... those didn't work either. It honestly might be something in my area, South Florida. I tried with the new radio, those files and vice versa. I am dumfounded.
As soon as I flashed back to 6.0 and used the 1.27 radio it sends immediately. It must have something to do with the radio and my area.
I appreciate all the assistance
I have the same problem. I received my tytn II 2 days ago. Previously I used the se K800i. With the k800i, there was never a problem when sending sms messages. Always very fast to send and receive but now on my kaiser, it takes a long time before my messages are received or till I receive an sms message.
Still on the stock rom version 1.56.404.6
radio: 1.27.12.32
Windows mobile 6 professional.
im a GSM TMO TP2 user but i recently got my hands on an alltel CDMA Diamond that has been flashed from alltel to cricket... .
i have 2 simple questions.
1) if i "clear storage" will it herd reset the phone back from cricket to alltel?
2) my 2nd question is, i was messing with some of the registry settings to see about getting the MMS working and i got lost in what i was doing, now i can't even connect to wi-fi cause its asking me to fix my f*ck up... will hard resetting restore registry settings?
i am almost 99% positive i know this answer.
thank u to whomever helps me, just lookin for simlpe yes's & no's.
(btw, yes i've read thru posts & googled my questions. i've been on howardforums & ppcgeeks all day yesterday... just wanna be safe is all.)
Hard reset will set your phone back to the latest ROM installed. You may have to reprogram your phones features by calling cricket, but it should not reset to alltell.
Hard reset will set you back to default registry settings.
thank u very much.
very appreciated
Im on the Cricket Mobile network now with a Sprint branded Touch Pro 2.But i had a Sprint branded Touch Pro before for about a year and if u hard reset it will restore all factory default settings of your current rom and u will not have to call Cricket at all as long as u know how to setup your wap/data Connection Settings. And Good Luck trying to get the mms to work on almost any HTC phone thats been flashed to Cricket.Ive tried with several different HTC phones on the Cricket Network and none of them would send or recieve mms.I tried it first on my Touch Pro,and was successful a cpl times but my mms messaging would send 4 or 5 pics and then it would quit working.Thats the best ive ever got mms to work.Ive tried to setup mms on an HTC Touch Pro,HTC Diamond/Touch,HTC Vogue,HTC Touch Pro 2,and none of these phones would get picture messaging. No matter what setup i tried or what version of Arcsoft i used, and none of the cutom roms ever come preconfigured for Cricket use and ive tried to reconfigure them but like i said after trying all of those HTC phones all flashed to work on the Cricket Network and none of them would reliably get mms.SMS always works just fine right out the box on all roms ive tried tho on every phone ive tried and experimented with.If u do figure out how to get mms working please PM me and let me know how.Thanks.If u need any help configuring the data connection after hard reset just ask.
you can get mms working on cricket... you just need to know what you are doing.... I have created a 100% working rom for the mogul but havent tried yet on the touch pro2 because i havent got one yet..... trying to find one now..
The best place to start is here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492824 <---- this is for the mogul but most of all the setting should be the same
then go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4260361&postcount=447 <---- same as above... this is for the mogul but most of all the setting should be the same
Ok So i have searched and tried over half a dozen fixes to find no solution.
Heres the deal I have the newest Energy Rom sense 2.5 and WiMo 6.5.5
I can send mms's but I cannot recieve them. For those that have gotten it to work, How did you do it and what are your MMS settings?

Thanks for the response. Yes, I did run the carrier provisioning. The first thing I ran infact. I ran it again just to be sure but still no luck.
I have also installed the various fixes i found on line but that is no good either. I went in to manually change the settings and found them all to be correct (or at least what I think is correct). Maybe there is some regedit that will go along with it.
This may not help you too much but I have Verizon and I went with the Mr. X ROM and my MMS finally works perfect. Does not require any work on your part at all.
So they tell me after i switch phones that internet will work in 1 hour.. It doesnt so today i try and ask for help. They ask me to dial ##3282# which for half a milli second goes to the edit option then goes back to dial pad. So that doesnt work, they then tell me to hit the update profile button "which is under the tv out button in system settings" but its not there.
This is what i tried using
MightyROM_RhodiumW_062010 (11400)
Its very frustrating. I tried the mR X rom and it was totally sluggish and boring.
so i said fuk it and flashed 6.5 windows on the phone instead of custom rom (and guess what the setting was there and dialing ##3282# works .. how lame is that mightyrom,..
i didnt see anything telling me to install custom cab or that my internet would not work with mightyrom..
I spent along time programing my contacts into the new mightyrom thinking the internet would work then had to delete them all when switch roms.
I went with sprint lovers 6.5.x and seems great has the one thing that mightyrom had that i wanted wifi router. And has sprint navigation too (which mightyrom doesnt and office 2010 along with tons of other options and cool bigger icons) Very pleased with sprint lover rom not sure if i will even test anything else.. (sprint lovers rom actually has update profile but also can not dial ##3282# )
you know, i dont post much on there but the one thing i do is READ. There is nothing wrong with mightyrom and the internet works just fine in it. ( i have ran it several times before myself ) as for programs go search for the cabs and install them. Doesnt anyone search on how to fix problems anymore?
dude u probably just didnt know what you were doing. If you had to sit there and program numbers back instead of having sense and backing up the numbers that already shows how much of a genius you are. Not trying to diss but just pointing out the obvious. Instead of blaming someone else try looking at your own errors cuz I never had any problems out of any of those roms
Meh, I have that ROM and it works fine. I have the PRL/Profile cab, and Office 2010 Mobile for it. Wifi router works great Mike!!!
This guy just posts crap in a lot of forums guys.
