Hello XDA,
So here is my first Android contribution. The animation is the rings of light on the front of an Xbox 360 during boot.
This is my first Boot animation so please don't crucify my if its not perfect.
Also, I am not rooted and thus have not tested it yet. Let me know how/if it works alright. If all goes well I might make a RRoD version .
UPDATE: Thanks for all the feedback guys, I have created a new version with Cyanogen Mod colors and glowing. I will be recreating the original green one soon to mirror this one with the glow. Also make sure you rename it back to "bootanimation.zip"

UPDATE: Standard Green Ring of Lights and Ring of Lights plus RRoD NOW available.

UPDATE: I have added a new size to the animation so that I fits screens better. (Thanks Inneyeseakay for the feedback)
UPDATE: Large version of the RRoD animation has been added. The GIF below is inaccurate in the animation, the green lights are only shown once, then the red lights blink until the phone boots, just like the original version of the RRoD did.

I dont beleive you have to be rooted to use custome boot images. you put it on /data/local/bootanimation.zip and /data is rw already. Cant say 100% for sure though.

Pretty cool! Maybe the lights seem a bit on the thin side? Also could the "glow" animation be improved?
Thanks for using my Animation, this took a few minutes in Paint to make, I'll keep working on it and improve it. I also plan on making a Cyan Colored (CM) Version of it too.
This is pretty cool. All I can suggest is what other have already mentioned: try to make it a little thicker and add more glow effect.

Hey man, Still loving the boot animation.... Got a few requests for ya if you got some time....
1.I'd love to see the green one made a lil bigger as other have said....
2.Also could you slow down the "spin" or whatever.... Seems the Nexus spins it so fast I can barely enjoy it!!!
3.I think a normal green w/ a RROD combo would be sweeeeeet!!! What I mean is, have the normal green one cycle thru once....Then fade or just turn red and blink for a cycle (then going back to start of course).... I think that would be hottttttt!!

Been a bit busy recently, but redoing the green one like the blue is first on my list, speed should be easy to fix and the RROD combo right after the green one is finished. But im glad you enjoy it, keep a lookout for this thread.

After trying the new ones out, I can't get either to work now..... Def renaming them and there in /data/local ...... Just letting ya know!!
Tried some troubleshooting and played with the .txt file.... Still couldn't get it to work

This is a very simple METAMORPH THEME. It puts in a black status bar with Hero-style icons.
Also added:
Green highlights
Blacked out search bar (Made by Manup456)
Transparent notification shade
Green lights on power control widget

No this will NOT run with CyanogenMod. I tried it once yesterday as well and got some funky startup errors. I have all I need to port it over to CM, but that will have to wait until later this evening after work.

OK everyone, new link added to bottom of OP for CyanogenMod Morph.
Just installed the H icon looks a bit awkward to me but other than that it looks good.
Edit: Oh the H icon looks weird because it has a border around it. In the Modaco version I don't think it had that border around the 3G icon.
Theme looks classy. I also love the look of the stock N1 but this black bar looks so much nicer. I'm on CM5.0 beta-2.
Hey everyone, after literally a couple hours of searching i've been unable to find what im looking for. A pure black wallpaper with the little green android alien in the middle. A small one not a big one that shows up on all screens of my phone. I've found plenty CLOSE to what I want but they always have some grey/white in them. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
If you link me the ones you want, I can tweak them and/or remove those lines.

This one is probably the most ideal I could find right now. I was unable to locate all the ones I had come across because a) it was done over the past few days on my phone and computer, and b) because some of them were located inside of apps from the market.
And thanks for your help, I really do appreciate it. I'm sure I could figure it out myself, but I have only ms paint, and I'm sure someone with some basic skills could do this in about 10 minutes.

Hey sorry for the delay, unfortunately it seems this was a poor wallpaper to provide as the resolution is terrible. Had the resolution not been terrible i would have just wanted the green alien without white fade behind it, instead just solid black. I'll look for another example.
Here's a tweak I did to a 3d Andy original background was brushed metal tweaked it to black and shrinked the android a bit. Another but quick paste job to black background with standard Andy logo.
Wow perfect, the one on the right seems to be what i was looking for. One issue though, I opened the link on my phone, long pressed and set as wallpaper, went to my home screen and I see Z's trollface android homescreen from his freex10 rom looking at me, was kind of funny actually but im not sure how to fix it.
Obviously I should have tried saving it then setting as wallpaper before I posted, as it ended up working. Thanks!

Cool, I do need help. Make a backup quick. I'm assuming you're already on Pnp 2.2...
Download this and follow the instruction;
So far there should only be these problems;
On some dark buttons the text is still dark
The charging animation needs fixed, right now it only shows a few images and the theme I ported has plenty more so I need to edit that xml to get the new images to show.
Other than that let me know
doing some flashing now...ill get some apps and look around and see if i see anything other than what you listed...get back to you in a few homie

I kind of like not having to mount the sd card anyway but whatever floats your boat . Should have the final version done soon, testing attempt one now.
UPDATE: YAY TEST SUCCESS! If you're already on this theme you need to flash back to pnp then go download the updated link (i'm uploading now and will update the first post) usb is now working and batt mod is too! All that's left is getting the button text to white and fix the charge animation, but other than that this should be ready for daily use!

This should have a working charge animation thats hybrid (starts the animation from where you're charging from and what percentage it's at)
The first works as advertised and haven't found any problems you're not aware of.

Which wallpaper are you using for the carbon fiber? can you link it?

Have you noticed the progress bar seems to flicker? An example of this is when uninstalling an app. I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this as part of the animation however it appears that one of the frames may be reversed?
Also - when you add a shortcut to a contact it appears the frame that is usually around the picture is gone.

I'm not sure about the frame, i never paid much attention to that. As for the flickering, yes that is part of the animation as far as i know.

This mod is for Fluid Animations in the pulldown (Electricity Constantly Moving). I am unable to record video to show you, But trust me you wont be disappointed. This is the first of many.I will start getting all the colors together for updates starting tomorrow. There will be all different colors to match the Rosies and Clocks. The only down side to this is i havnt found a way to use mine or Vanessaem's Status bars. So if you use this mod you will have a black status bar.
*NOTE* You may have to pull the statusbar down twice to get to work if it doesnt happen the 1st time.After that it will go every time.

Notta's Animation Patch 0.6 beta
Instructions for use:
Flash Signed zip.
using the file manager of your choice Simply rename this file (default) that is in the Notta folder on your sdcard, the one you are reading to the animation set of your choice. Reboot to recovery and reflash the original zip. It will identify your choice by the file and patch that set. Be advised if you mispell your choice, nothing will be flashed and error.txt will reside in /sdcard/notta. No dalvik wipe needed!
So far the animation set's to rename default to are:
Please rename exactly as shown:

bounce
drop
dropin (from Drod's rubiX focused series)
flip
flyin
fly_flip (from Fab's Apex)

mix1 (random blend)
Possibly in the works will be another patch zip like this one just for the Pulldown animations Where you can just change up the animations.

I tell you what ill make the mod for you when I get home. It should only take me about a half hr or so. I'll add it to the thread up top. The mini theme and the white lightning will be 2 separate mods. I get out of work in an hr and a half and ill make it and post the for you.
Hope you enjoy! And I'm not sure if they will work with god mode. I havent flashed it yet

im sorry but i wont be able to do the white mod this morning. i have to get some sleep due to work. i will be getting to it shortly, so keep checking back. i will try to have all the mods and colors updated soon
Anyone making or thinking about making a theme that will go with the official Gingerbread leak we got?
Hopefully others will sound off as well with interest, something clean would be nice and please no more blue, phone has red accents for the love of God. Red, black, white, transparent would all be fine if anyone is up to it, it would be greatly appreciated.
I always theme mine green.
I have mine themed up with green notification icons in the status bar, semi transparent rosie dock with green icons.
Wait so is there a way to put a battery percentage in the notification bar? This is really the only thing I'm missing.

Just run your framework-res.apk through the UOT kitchen.
I feel like I should make a zip for everyone since there's so many requests for it.

Anytime I have played with the framework (on my own) in the past it has led to problems, whether it be metamorph and ninjamorph I always seem to get boot loops.
I have yet to try the UOT Kitchen just hoping the community comes up with some theming options I can just flash in cwm and go from there.
What kind of themes were you guys looking for?
By "Gingerbread theme," does that mean the stock Gingerbread look instead of the Sense stuff? Like Skyraider 4.

I cant speak for everyone but I was looking for a theme that has a nice and clean look to it and maybe changes the colors up a bit. Changing everything that is green to red/black or white/black would look nice. Also changing up the status bar some and the notification pull down window would be awesome. That bright white pull down window is bland, boring, and BLINDING!

So, I pieced together a black and red-ish theme. Looks really cool, from what I can see of it.
I'm getting loads of force closes all over, and the lock screen looks a little weird. Would anyone with more theming experience care to jump in and help me sort it out a little?
I was just messing with with some stuff as well.
I don't have the sdk on my PC and don't really know much about signing apk's and things like that but what I was doing was going into the apk's on my computer (for framework, htc.resourse, and systemUI) and just altering every .png i found that was green and changing it to a nice red.
What I was hoping to do was do that for all 3 apk's and then add those files to the UOT Kitchen to basically bind them all together while also throwing on a battery mod or something.
Probably pretty ass backwards but with my limited exp. I thought it might work.
Only problem is I can't find .png's for a few things like the green android that comes up during a phone call, and I didn't want to take hours changing everything if I wasn't going to be able to complete this project 100%.
I highly recommend [ROM][8/25] McSense v1.1 - GingerSense 1.0 by 00McD00. Ive been running it for while with no issues. Status bar is solid black, pull down is solid black with white notifications, slate style call and lockscreen, and its just as quick as any of the other new stock roms- cool stuff. He seems pretty open to new ideas so anyone with decent know-how could probably help it along.

Only thing I couldn't get to work right in the Kitchen was changng the entire notification screen black and having the text be white as seen here:

After a reboot text comes out black and you can't read it unless you click on it.
I am guessing on McSense Rom that he left the space white with black text?
Right... I'm gonna have to look into UOT...
In case anyone is still interested, I got my force close issues sorted out. I've got a few images that need to be resized, but that shouldn't take too much more work.
