Searching the Calendar - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

Hi - Does anyone know how you can search the calendar on x10? ie.. I know I've put an entry in there to remind me to pay a bill.. but I can't remember when it is.. so I wanted to do a text search to find it..
The default search in the handset doesn't include the calendar entried..
or is there a different calendar app that I could use that would allow me to do this?
Thanks!!

Power search from the market.

Make Google Calendar the Default

Anybody know how to do this, it is extremely annoying to have to remember to select google calendar every time you make an entry.

Has anyone figured this out yet? I HATE that I can not change this to default to google's calendar instead of "my calendar"
I agree this is really annoying. I've had to go back and change multiple entries because I forgot to make that adjustment when creating an event.
However in the link above someone made the suggestion of downloading Jorte calendar because it has setting to make google the default. Did you guys give that a try?

I tried Jorte, don't really like it to be honest, feels a bit cluttered and unintuitive to me.
Still waiting for a better alternative...

I'm using Jorte right now. I like the widgets that can display my calendar on the home screen. However, the settings are cryptic at best, and the buttons in the app don't have labels and seem to do different things with each press...
However, it is worth it to have my calendar correctly sync with google without me having to re-select the calendar for each new appointment. I make a LOT of appointments on my phone, and when I realized they weren't syncing, I had to change a LOT of appointments.
Has anyone found a better solution to this bug yet?

Bump for this one. Is this something that would need changed at the OS level? I.e., no quick fix via a small app
Devs, we are calling you!!!!!!!

i'm using gemini calendar. it works great and has some other features.
This is fixed in the new 2.2 update; you can completely disable the "my calendar" app and use the stock google calendar and widget.

Looking for a particular "launcher-like" app

Hey all,
Forgive me if this has been addressed before, but I am having trouble finding the words to use to search for this app.
I am looking for something like the iPhone stack app, where you have an icon, you click it and other apps come out, similar to the Simi clock's ability.
Is there anything out there like this? It will help clean up my home screen and it'd be nice to have this "button" to skin it to how I like and then when activating it, get the apps I select to "emerge" or "cascade" out from it.
Thanks!
What? Use folders?

[Q] News/RSS Widgets

I am looking for a full screen news/rss widget. I have searched google and xda and nothing.
Any suggestions is much appreciated.
Edit: Please move to General Aria discussion.
you can try Instant news for google. i havnt tried it myself, but it seems to have what youre looking for. or you can search the Market or Androlib.com for whatever you want
Just either use the default news widget if your using sense. You can add custom rss feeds etc and its full screen

Text to voice

Hello, has anyone seen an TTS app that runs in the background, where you can long press or open a menu option to speak whatever is on your screen. Would also like one that will read all my gReader feeds, one after another. The only thing I have been able to find is PDF or cut and past. Maybe I'm being too wishful.

[Q] how to add a shortcut to go to a website on desktop?

Hey guys!
Does anyone know how to add a shortcut on one of the app screens of GoLauncher that will take you to a website? I like mobile web Facebook more than the app and I want to have such a button that'll take me to the site. Any ideas?

Yes, but bookmark is in the browser app. I want to access the link like I access other apps....so the link would be on my front screen. Sorry it might be a dumb question, but I cannot seem to find this function.
Hey Okishead.
I don't have GoLauncher, but if its anything like the launcher I'm using (from a custom rom) then you can just find any space on app screen and touch the screen for a few seconds which should bring up a menu. If there's an option for Bookmarks, or shortcut then bookmark that might be what you're looking for.
If not... then ignore this!
damn, I'm stupid!! Bookmarks was under Shortcuts!!! Thanks thanks thanks!!
