Is anyone on the XDA forums in the progress of adding Kali's fix for the camcorder into their ROMs ?
Because I'm not a fan of MoDaCo ROMs and I much prefer the ROMs being distributed on the XDA forums especially Richard's DeFrost

Dude - for now on it does not work on r20
i tried it and it still crashes.
now back to OpenDesire as I wait for AdamG fix.
According to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6720523&postcount=2, I believe that camcorder fix is still not working with Froyo, it's only to prevent reboot when we switch to camcorder.
Isn't it?

This is a beta version and is suitable for testers.
I ported this rom on request.

The ROM feels FAST.
It may be the fastest Eclair 2.1 for the 32A Magic 6.35 radio.
It is based off of SuperEclair v3.0 [BETA4.1] by KOLOHE and others (their rom really has nothing in common with Superatmel's SuperEclair anymore).
It uses Sanpei's .32 Kernel for 6.35 radio.
The rom has problems. You might get a force close.
A few problems remain with some features (see change log in second post and colour guide for what is working next).

Instructions:
You need new radio 6.35.10.18, SPL 1.76.2007 and recovery-RA-Magic32A-6.35-v1.6.2 or recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img.
It might work on with other recovery images, but I have not tested them.

This rom should not be confused with the one here.
I created a new thread for this rom, because it is not based off the original SuperEclair2.1 like the other one. This rom is based off a completely different build.
Performance seems way better for me with this rom, but stability is still an issue.
I will post updates as the bugs get fixed.
I will also post a themed version at some point.

Not that this will help you, nut I don't think the forced close is actually related to the wifi.
I get forced closes with one specific app on my phone. When I uninstall the app I then get the forced close when I do something else.
This was the main reason why I was waiting to port the rom.
I think the rom is awesome and fast - it may be one of the better if not best Eclair 2.1 roms that are not sense, hero or legend. I will port the new releases as soon as the original team gets this bug solved.

yes i don't like any sense/hero/legend style too. ORIGINAL Eclair is the best! at least for me.

I have the old radio port
This bug does not occur for me (weird)

I will also make a thread possibly for my issues and updates too - as I prefer when cooking to upload any changes ASAP

yes confirmed youtube works but video playback (mp4 movie) cannot work for some reason
any suggestion or just post?

My opinion is to just post the rom as it is.
There are a lot of people working on the 32B version.
They will hopefully figure out fixes faster than we can as a smaller group.
k uploading to multiupload - mine does not seem to have LWP built into it as part of the features either - maybe in future release this will be fixed but I think LWP just cause issues / crashes

First off, great ROM. Very speedy compared to others I've tried. Just a couple of things I found that are not working are:
1. Wireless Tether - FC everytime I try to start it
2. Handcent SMS - FC everytime

flash the overclock patches on top of the rom. flash stock kernel to go back to stock kernel
the trick to getting kernels to boot:
when booting wait for the system force close. when u see it press power and click force close. then power off and repeat until you see the lockscreen

No. It won't. Its a custom kernel.

Not necessarily true. Avalaunchmods has it PARTIALLY working with a 3rd party camera app. Our brilliant devs CAN get it working, but it's going to take some time (hopefully soon though).

lol camera is broken on froyo. it has nothing to do with the kernel. the kernel would break camera if it worked
I am guessing the 1.14 kernel would be best for battery performance?
Flash you r kernel on 2.1, broken camera.
EvenToasts thread says kernel breaks camera.

i'm assuming you haven't had time to apply the 4g from source yet so wimax probably doesn't work but does mms work on this rom?
BT headset works with this one or is it just a2dp?

mms is still broken using stock. use handcent for mms. i havent looked into the 4g source i will tomorrow. and im pretty sure bluetooth is a2dp only. someone test as i dont use bluetooth.

I dont think any phone has network with this ROM
But meaby t-mobile pulse mini if you flash pulse mini fix... not sure but you can try i would be very happy!
I will start working on this ROM next week cuz im buzy but i hope now other ppl see we have a "working" gingerbread they go to work too and make it better
I could test it. At the moment, I'm using the Eclair stock ROM on my Pulse Mini. It's rooted, with Clockwork recovery img. Is it possible to use that, or should I first flash the AmonRa stuff?

I just flashed the rom and it took awhile to search for signal (as in OP stated) but after that it stays connected. Haven't try GPS yet, I'll try tomorrow morning. Wifi calling still no go for me... still Invalid sim. Beside that, everything working well so far. Thanks siulmagic again for the port.

When i had the mytouch4g, it worked perfectly. Since i moved to this g2x, i always got "invalid sim "

@Siulmagic, hey i am trying to learn how to port o2x to g2x.. MIUI is an example, i know boot.img has to be changed since it is the main file, kernel has to be changed.. RIL file needs to be changed.. i am trying to figure out.. do you extract MIUI system folder and re-cook the rom, or do you just change some files since it is similar. please let me know. thanks

I've never had Wifi Calling work on MIUI using the G2x. It always reported an invalid sim.
Whitehaux typically just updates the base to coincide with new MIUI builds but doesn't have the time to really get down with it. Seems we're picking up more bugs as we go.
I eventually went back to CM7 a few days ago because it just got so crazy.

It's based on LorD ClockaN's ICS Rom but uses Qualcomm Binaries. As a result of this it is extreme smooth. Broswer renders fast as hell.

thanks mate. i am going to be working on my very own ICS rom soon. and hopefully HTC will release ICS rom for our DHD soon so we can have fully working ICS cnt wait. oh yes i forgo to ask is USB mounting working ???

It's based on LorD ClockaN's ICS Rom but uses Qualcomm Binaries. As a result of this it is extreme smooth. Broswer renders fast as hell.

camcorder - use third party app
fm radio
???????????? this is just the ice cold sandwhich rom you have teken edited then put up as a BASED ON !!!! which is clearly a joke as all you have done is edit it and get a couple of things working :S :S :S :S and you give no credit to lord atall :S this thread will be closed as its a ripp off of lords rom. not happy as you have not done anything apart from edit and get stuff working

Hey, can someone please do a Nenamark1 benchmark and post the results? I don't have a DHD and want to see if it crosses the 50 FPS mark set by Primo ports (which obviously have these included, HTC has access to these before the general public)

Are these qualcomm binary files, only to be applied on ICS?

most benchmarks are measuring only a special case, so it's not really representative.
