Replace HTC Sense Icons With Stock Android Icons - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

I have all of the necessary files, but I have no idea how to replace the HTC Sense icons with the stock Android 2.1 icons.
My phone is rooted, NAND unlocked and I'm running Joeykrim's 1.0.8 ROM (odex), which is basically a rooted version of the stock HTC Evo ROM.
Thanks in advance!

As noted above, I'm running an odex ROM, so this won't really help. Thanks, though.

Its not possible to theme on an odex'd ROM. So you'll either have to flash a new ROM or deal with it. Sorry bro.

There is no way to replace the images without flashing a ROM or a theme? I find that hard to believe. If that's true, I'll be pretty disappointed.

Sorry for my misread. Why don't you just flash one of Joey's deodexed? Doesn't he have one?

Not a problem! He does, but I like the performance of the odexed version. That's certainly an option, though.

Yes, you are just flashing the theme only.
It worked. Thank you!
Now if I want the old theme back what would I do?

Flash the Fresh Theme that is in the Kitchen, or any of the the other that are in there.
There is also a good list located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5294473
That is where the one I pointed you to is located.
And don't forget the first sticky in the forum, lost of good stuff in there too.

BTW, you can flash anything BUT a ROM from the pre-kitchen, ROM's need to be flashed through recovery.
Just make sure that if it is a boot screen, you choose "install boot screen", all others choose "install theme"
Looking at that thread now
Thank you much

2nd post that says...
Espresso Only (if you want to revert back after flashing stock). Based on that verbiage it seems like what you want.

Thanks! I'll check it out and see if it works on a stock ROM. The only reason I didn't try that one before I started this thread was because those add-ons and ROM itself are based of a damageless ROM and not a stock ROM but ill see if it works.

Desire HD Themes and Inspire

What themes from the Desire HD work for the Inspire or what should I look for in a theme to make sure it works?
all themes should be fine. Unless a theme is for a specific rom. just remember you can't flash a theme over a rooted ATT stock rom unless it has been deodexed
When I asked this, it was before all the Desire HD Roms came in the Inspire sectiion. I already flashed the Revolution Rom and now deciding which Theme.
What does deodexed mean?

quick and dirty odex explanation http://www.forceclose.com/questions/2307/what-are-odex-files
in short, a rom in order to be themed has to have these odex files removed and their contents packaged back into the apk file.
if you try to theme an Odexed rom I don't think it will even boot.
so i rooted my inspire but decided i dont really want to put a different rom on because of the sound issues i see going on..that means i cant use any metamorph themes?

Correct. Themes will only work on a de-odexed ROM

I am pretty sure they resolved most of the sound issuse. Android revolution has great sound in my experience with it. It even appeared to sound louder then stock.

Depends on what you are trying to do specifically. To make things easier I'd flash a deodexed ROM then try to mess around with MM.
Did you ever figure that out?

Do you mean deodex? As in de-odex? Then, I guess you maybe could but it is much easier to flash trickdroid because that is the stock rom on steroids.

I was curious about this too, so I did a search and found this. Not sure if this will help us, since I haven't had a chance to read the whole thing, but it probably will work.
