Does anyone know how to type "\" on a Samsung BlackJack (Jack) SGH-i617? My company's exchange mail server uses domain\*** as user name. I'm getting nuts now.
Thank you for any help.
wonder why the wm6.5 i617 users don't post their questions in the 6.5 i617 thread here...?

Hey All,
Doing some hacking here...
My company only supports Verizon phones connecting to out Intellisync environment for access to our Exchange environment. Well I'm a Cingular user and don't want to switch. I've gotten a co-worker to grab the Verizon Wireless Sync software from the Verizon web page (rebranded Intellisync product) for me but it's only the WM2003 version. This version does actually work well, but I'm looking for WM5 perfection!
For all their WM5 phones the web site says "included in your phone" so what I was hoping for is that some nice soul with either a Samsung i830 (I know wrong forum) or a xv6700 (Apache) might be able to extract out the Wireless Sync CAB file and post it or shoot me a link or PM.
If not does anybody know where to get the latest WM5 version of Verizon's Wireless Sync product or maybe the Intellisync counterpart?
Any help appreciated - there's got to be more than one way to skin a corporate email system.
Thanks,
-JMS
You can find it here...
I posted the cab installer in the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=43555
It will give you what you need - and is the full client, not the cripled one VZW offers. Use it on my 8125 and other WM5 devices...even those that talk to the VZW wireless sync server.
If you have the VZW client installed you should uninstall before installing this one.

Wow, once again the folks on this board are awesome.
Thanks so much, I'll give it a whirl, I really appreciate the help!

Hey chybinj,
That worked beautifully, much smaller and better designed for WM5 than that older sync client I had.
Thanks again for your quick help.

My pleasure...glad to help - I know my head hurt from all the whacks on my desk casued by previous versions.
If I get a newer version I will repost...may get an upgrade our server in a few weeks.
Regards - John
Greetings!!
am a newby here!
I wanna ask if there's any discussion about SGH i600 here!
smartphone rule......
Yeah I need some discussion like this too!!!
What would you say to begin this section dedicated to i600?!
What programs do you have on your i600?
Is there anything like flashget?

i have switched from a HTC Wizard to the Samsung i600 recently (last monday), so i'm used to the plephora of apps for WM6 Professional and kinda dissapointed by the available software for WM Standard. The Programs I installed are:
ocrotalk
skype
since i haven't found anything interesting besides this, but on the other hand: i don't really know what else i could possibly need at the moment, besides maybe a nicer Contactmanager and Calculator
btw: it would be nice if someone from germany (or any other country with special characters could tell me if there is an easier way to type these characters then the symbol menu)

Hi guys can any one point me in the direction of a good data base program for my DVD list.
I already have the file (as TSV - Tab seperated values) and don't want to re-enter this info.
Running Samsung Omnia i900 (WM6.1) in australia.
I can program anything in VB6.0, so alternitivly can someone let me know how do you create programs for WM6.1? and i can create the data base program and share it with the world.
,ok so im fairly new to windows mobile here, and recently i got my girlfriend a winmo phone with 6.1 on it and we added her yahoo email on there and everything and she can receive but not send. this is a common problem from what i have found, i was wondering if there was a post somewhere on here for a .cab fix or for perhaps different settings that need be applied?,
i appreciate all the help i can get as she is greatly disapointed by this and i want to make her winmo experience the best i can,
thanks
Does anyone know how to enable threaded email (Conversation Email option) option in pocket Outlook of Sprint Lovers ROM (CE OS 5.2.28232 (Build 28232.5.3.3)). This is a feature that is available in wm6.5.3. If anyone knows of any ROM that has this added features for Sprint TP2, please let me know.
I am doing push email using TP2's ActiveSync with my Gmail account. Furthermore, I went to the registry and searched for the word "conversation". There is one DWord that has it, but conversation mode does not appear in my pocket email. Here is the reg key:
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync]
"ConversationMode"=dword:1
Thanks for your help.
It's either cooked in or it isn't. Any ROM running build 235xx is going to have it. It's a part of the SYS build itself. It's not an app that you can add in. Ask your chef about it. So far you can only get threaded email in 6.5.3 builds. If you're looking for it in 6.5, then you're out of luck.
What you are looking for is quite probably in this thread:

There is a cab in the first post that folks are having mixed results with. The last post in the thread includes the files from 23569.

I seriously doubt that's going to work. I'm not saying it won't, but judging by the feedback on the thread, it doesn't look like it's working for most people.
