Request; stock livewallpapers.apk (FILLED) - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

Hey guys; I would appreciate it someone could post the stock livewallpapers.apk file from their incredible. I overwrote it with the droid x wallpapers and it's causing some issues. You should be able to copy if using root explorer or pulling it from adb. Thank you!
***EDIT***
I dumped the stock livewallpapers.apk file from an old backup and attached it below. Hope this helps some of you!

think I found a working copy! can't test at the moment but please report back results if you attempt
http://www.mediafire.com/?nxyyzjuhxig

parkson, it worked as a reflash but it's missing some wallpapers such as polar clock, et al.
is that normal?

I'm filling my own request; i dumped the old livewallpapers.apk and put them above in the first post!

Nexus 1 News/Weather Widget (works!)

Hey everyone...I wanted to share something I came across (I did not do ANY of the work...I simply found this in another forum and didn't see it here so I wanted to post it to XDA). For any of you who like the cool news and weather widget from N1's 2.1 build...some smart people ported it over to 1.5, and it works (I tested it out on my CDMA hero). They uploaded it as a .RAR file (as opposed to a .zip), but just download winzip's free trial version and extract using that. Here's the link!
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DYWP2DON
Just extract the apk file from RAR, put it on your hard drive and navigate to it with some kind of file explorer (Astro file manager, etc) and click on the apk file. Your phone will ask you if you want to install it. Once installed add it like any other widget (it will be under Android Widgets).
Edit: Some people on the other forum are experiencing force closes upon reboot. I rebooted to check and did not have any problems. I hope all works for you as well.
Sweet, will try it out!
Nice find! It works perfectly. Thanks
Could someone please rehost this elsewhere? I'm having problems with megaupload lately.
are you guys updating through recovery or pushing it through adk
works great
This works great tell them great job and thanks for bringing this to xda
can someone post a screenie of the reader and does it have a widget?
so far this works great for me!
+1 request for a screenshot.
I can extract a RAR file, but are you guys putting it back in a ZIP and flashing it through recovery or ADB push into what directory?
How exactly are you getting the widget onto your phones?

I'd like to know this as well.
I downloaded it, Un-Rar'd it and used HTC sync App Installer and it works beautifully. No need to re-zip it. It is in APK format.
Inside the RAR file is the .apk. Extract it, put it on your SD card and use a File Manager to install it. As far as screenshots, if you've ever used the 2.1 ROM, its the same widget.

sweet thanks for that info thats what I was hoping for. love the reader widget been waiting for it to get ported.
It looks like you just extract the apk from the rar and then install it. I'm making a BART backup first before I try to install it (I needed to backup anyway).
I'll post back with a screenshot unless someone beats me to it.
dang not the one that I was looking for I really would like to see the RSS reader from the 2.1 build ported I really like that one over any of the ones available on the market.

Weather
News
Thanks for this. Works great on AOSP 1.6
Installed, tried all the configs, uninstalled. Not as cool as I was expecting it to be. The HTC weather widget is better. This one is quite bland. I'd rather install a separate news ticker app.

I posted screen shots to the original post.
Seems kind of laggy.

[LIVEWALLPAPER] ORIGINAL Livewallpapers.apk Nexus S

New port. It's the LiveWallpapers.apk from Nexus S, the ORIGINAL. Very smooth and zero problems. Had to decompile and fix some lines.
Back up and Delete your original LiveWallpapers.apk Then Push to /system/app with the usual permissions. Enjoy.

Thanks for the upload! I know this is random, but where's that Music icon from? Is that the gingerbread one? If not, do you mind sharing it?

1 Problem
I did the backup
Then using root explorer copied that apk from my sdcard folder to my system/app and rebooted but it doesn't work!
I have a rooted N1 with the latest froyo build.
Update 1: I also tried to install that apk package directly from the system file and it says "Parse error" There is a problem parsing the package"??
Update 2: Also tried push via ADB but still no dice

I didn't get it to install too, I think he forgot to edit the manifest for froyo like with the microbes wallpaper.
Try this normal apk, created from the OP's port.
Oh yes, my build.prop has the sdk set to 9, thats why i didnt notice it. Adding to OP when i get to the comp. Its not intended to install like a normal apk.
New version with a lot of fixes:
manifest edited to sdk 8(2.2), cleaned a bunch of lines related to the other LWPs
deleted unnecesary files from raw and xml folders
optiPNG applied to reduce size
classes.dex cleaned
package name changed to com.android.nexuss
signed and installable. Thats all.
Can I install this without having root access?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Last version works with unrooted phones(supporting LWPs) without problems.
Thanks alot works perfect on desire.

Music.apk

This may sound stupid, but I really can't find the original music.apk from Froyo. I erased it by accident and just want the original one back. I don't want the one from HTC. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
d/l a stock themed rom, and pull it outta the zip. i think its in the system/app directory.

[EB13/EC05][Stock][Configurable Zip] System Apps Remove N Restore

:[Disclaimer]:
As always, performing a "nandroid backup" from Clockwork Mod is recommended as a precaution.
Use this at your own risk!
:[Requirements]:
An Epic 4G with Clockwork Mod recovery installed (preferably 3.0.0.6).
A text editor to edit the config file.
Note:: The EB13 files are from deodexed EB13, and are intended to be used on an EB13 based Rom.
Note:: The EC05 files are from deodexed EC05, and are intended to be used on an EC05 based Rom.
:[Description]:
This is a configurable zip that has the ability to selectively remove and restore system apps.
This is a follow up to this proof of concept.
:[Features]:
Selectively remove and / or restore any of the 66 system apps listed below.
User configurable by editing a config file that is placed onto the SD card.
[Download EB13 zip package here.]
[Download EC05 zip package here.]
:[Usage]:
This download files are not flash-able zips! (The flash-able zip is inside the downloads)
#1:: Extract the 2 files that are in the zip package onto your computer.
#2:: Copy the "system_apps.zip" onto your SD card.
#3:: Make the desired changes to the "system_apps.cfg" file, changing "no" to "yes" as desired.
For example, to remove qik, change
remove.system.qik=noto
remove.system.qik=yesNote:: If you don't make any changes to the "system_apps.cfg" file, the zip will not do anything other than output text!
Note:: Make sure your file is saved with unix line endings (Windows users do not create any new lines and you should be OK).
#4:: Copy the "system_apps.cfg" onto the root of your SD card ("/sdcard/system_apps.cfg").
#5:: Use Clockwork Mod recovery to install the "system_apps.zip".
:[Included apps]:
AppWidgetPicker was taken from Bonsai 3.0.1, but originated here.
LbsTestMode was taken from here, credit goes to BThomas22x it seems.
The rest of the EB13 files came from Dameon87's Stock Deodexed EB13 Rom.
The rest of the EC05 files came from Bonsai4All_EC05_UnTouched.
I have confirmed with k0nane that none of these files should effect the CIQ removal.
(With the possible exception of EC05's SprintID "W_Installer.apk" file, but who in their right mind is going to install that?)

What happens when the system_apps.cfg file is missing or in the wrong location?
Click to collapse
Clockwork Mod recovery will give a status 7 error.
What happens if I change "no" to something besides "yes or "no" in the config file?
Click to collapse
The script checks for "yes", so if the value is anything else, the item will be skipped (just stick with "yes" and "no").
What happens if I did not use unix line endings?
Click to collapse
Clockwork Mod recovery will give an error. Probably status 7, but possibly status 6.
Why does it take so long to boot after running this?
Click to collapse
Because it clears out the cache and dalvik-cache, causing it to be rebuilt.
:[Testing]:
This has been tested and confirmed working on an Epic 4G running Bonsai 4.0.0.

Awesome bro Thank you
will it matter to flash the whole file as it is..without checking for any existing apks?? ie if i already have qik foreg.. and i dont change that to no... should it be still ok?
I want to try this, was just going to wait for the next SFR version so I can do it all at one time during my 'scheduled maintenance window'. (Reading that makes me feel that I've spent too many years in IT.) Just 2 questions:
1. There are a bunch of apps that I have removed before, like mms.apk/browser.apk, using sdx stock app removal tool and it causes FCs. Is this different if removed from CWM? If so, do we know which of these sys apps are required?
2. If I am not installing particular .apks, can they be removed from the zip to make it smaller?
App .apk brief description
To the OP,
Can you put a brief description on what each .apk is for the ones that are not known by reading them? For example, I have no idea if I still need to install FactoryTest.apk, cm-android.apk, HiddenMenu.apk, SN28-1100-sprint-signed.apk...? For some, I have no idea what it is and it would help if you can put a brief description on what the apk is?
There is a brief description of all sys apps in a thread called all app safe to remove. Search for it or page back to it in the dev section.

As the OP states, all values are defaulted to no, so flashing as is will only print text to the screen and waste your time.

#1 - I did my best to only include things that could be safely removed, but YMMV.
There's a link below to a thread of apps and what they do, if they've been removed safely, etc...
#2 - Yes, removing the apks from the zip is fine if you are only doing removals.

Does the config file have an extension, like "config.txt" - if so, then you can use root explorer on your phone and rename the file without the extenstion or the appropriate extension - you can't change the file extension to none on the PC because the PC needs the extension.
I am not stating this because I have the same problem as you, but I had another instance that was simuliar needing a certain file structure, so this is what worked for me - and maybe work for you.
Good Luck - hope this helps!

sense 3.6 theming/modding help needed

Guys,
I really need your help here!!
I beginning to try to create status bar themes for sense 3.6 ROMs on 3.33 base but am getting a bit stuck.
I've pulled all the .pngs I want to edit from SystemUI.apk (decomplied with Multi APK Tool), edited them using photoshop and saved them (Keeping the filenames the same) then recompiled to get the new APK (ensuring it is still named SystemUI.apk).
I don't know how to create flashable zips so have used root explorer to replace the original SystemUI.apk file with my new one and set permissions to rw-r--r-- and rebooted but nothing changes.
I don't know if I need to edit more than these image files (like stuff in framework.res.apk) or if there's anything else apart from image editing I need to do. Can anyone please guide me on this?
Once I can do this, I would love to be able to create flashable zips, to flash new themes and I have found odd bits of info here and there online about how to create them, but I am still unsure about this, so if anyone can help me with that as well, it would be great.
Can anyone please help/guide me here?]
Thank you :fingers-crossed:
