Ok This is by no means my work, I'm just promoting the mod of another developer.
ctso came out with a working launcher2.apk yesterday. There's no 3D cube effect of course, but it's still smooth. I found it looking around the androidspin.com database
http://www.androidspin.com/downloads.php?dir=ctso/MOD/&file=Launcher2.apk
eh, broken link
alright it's fixed
Sorry for asking but how do you install this launcher?
Worked for me. Pushing apk to phone now. Very excited to see how this works out. I've been using GDE and maybe Launcher2 will actually replace my replacements?
it works just like any regular apk. I just put it on my sd and installed it with astro
Before anyone whines, it does NOT work on OpenEclair 1.1.5 (I tried this morning), however there is talk of making this an incremental update for the next stable release
Well...back to 1.6 I go ^^
now thats hot!
smooth launcher....rename zip to apk and install via astro and walla.....nexus schmexus!
BTW....im running Kings latest 2.1 Eclair and it works like a charm
Works great in G1/KiNgxKxlicK AOSP 2.1 [v1.4], but it could be faster.
I just don´t like that the icons in the apps list are a little bit transparent..
Nice work
Not working for me with OpenEclair 1.1 for me at least
Brilliant
Works fantastic in Klick 1.5, very speedy. "Cards" work well, swiping is pretty smooth most of the time, app launcher is a little laggy but easily livable. Great job!
When I try installing with Astro on my G1 running Cyanogens latest, I get the "Launcher could not be installed on this phone." error.
Any help?

Seeing as you need 2.1 (or 2.0.1, I think it works on this also)
This.................... ROCKS!!! xD
ITS WORKING AS SMOOTHLY AS SOMETHING THAT'S VERY SMOOTH O_O lol
I know that this is for the 2.X ROM's, but as I lay here with my fez, smoking jacket, and monocle on, and a cup of Tanqueray in my left hand, I ponder can this be back ported to the 1.6 ROM's.

I don't think so, as the launcher 2 relies on the 2.1 api's and frameworks (eclair should I say)

And I was more or less saying, it MIGHT be able to be done, but you won't know until you try it. I'm sure it could not be done, but then again we thought we'd have to wait on HTC for camera drivers

Well, It did not break my phone! It is actually pretty speedy, and everything seems to work, nice job
I guess I will run it for a while and see if it breaks, but so far so good, although I am not a huge fan of the Nexus Launcher, I suppose I can get used to it.
Thanks for the hard work!

Did you read anything? how can people help you if you dont even know what your looking at. Its for the fender mytouch LE/ 1.2 which is a 32a.
Very good job, I like everything about it. I prefer black/darker themes but this one just works. No problems except for some reason Swapper will not start.Has worked all every other rom and themed version but it will not start th swap partition. Oh well, its not like I "need" it, just got used to having it on in case.
Again, good work.
2 hours later getting a few problems....
Swapper does not turn on swap partition.
Twicca FCs on direct messages
Meltus audio hack says it works but does nothing.
Htc and reg music fc every time they are opened.
Other then that lol, its great. But all that does not work are what I need lol
i love the soccer wallpáper. thanks
they are too hot!
I made a black theme with the htc music app fixed for this if anyone wants it.
WIP! help would be great.. netarchy..?
I take no credit for this, I just zipped and signed the kernel from ava's previous sense+froyo rom.
anyways... I don't have much else to say. I did this just to see if it would work and it did so I thought I should share
Rear camera is stuck at 3mp, wifi and 4g are down. I am not great with kernels so I will not be able to fix them, this is where I need help.
EDIT: ok so my approach failed. wifi and 4g are still down. I will see what I can do on this but feel free to fix it yourself since I am not the most skilled person with this stuff
Update: ok, so I added nets drivers but it didn't magically make wifi work. he did work on the source and I have never really tweaked kernel sources before. atm wifi and 4g are down which sucks sooo I suggest going to netarchy's kernel. I might take on all this kernel stuff at some point in the near future but I have school work and work that I have to do and I feel like right now I should get that stuff done before diving into a whole new project. I'll leave this up but I see no point in using my hacked together kernel when you have netarchy's now I know all the other devs have the time for this but I procrastinated on summer reading for high school (yeah, I am 16) and I just got immersed in 3 new languages for work. my brain is pretty fried. anyways, enough with this long ramble, and happy evo'ing
Gonna try it now! Thanks!
Gonna try too, crossing fingers.

fps fix for epson and/or novatec?
Thanks! Once i get confirmation that this works looks like i will finally make the move over to 2.2. Been waiting for a kernel to come out before i did.
I say upgrade to 2.2 because it moves pretty damn fast! I say faster than any other kernel and rom for 1.47 base.
Recording in 720p is super smooth and video performance is very snappy. Don't worry about the "numbers" as it performs very well.
Of course, once the RUU is available, performance will improve.

I'm not sure if this was forgotten but users running the stock rom MUST install this patch to run properly.
The last comment in the thread was June 5th or so... and was kind of hard to find. I'm assuming no one uses it anymore, but still needs to be done for every factory reset done if running a stock rom.
Here is the link to the patch:
http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-optimus-2x-2x-modaco-com/338158/26-apr-g2x-pre-dexopt-patch/
It needs to be flashed from ClockWork Recovery, thus requires you root first and NVFlash a custom recovery.
Can we get a sticky?
agrred makes the phone smoother when scrolling boots up a little faster and overall is more speedier i think it takes it out of debug mode, correct me if im wrong, i also installed it over eaglesblood FROYO but it turns the time very dark in status bar, because the status bar on stock rom is white that is why it doesnt happen but that is nothing omarsalmin fixed that and made a zip containing the white time the way it should look in status bar.............here it is if u ever want to install it over eaglesblood FROYO roms that have the black status bar... http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=612208&d=1306848059

this is for STOCK roms only any custom ones should not need this.

well...I put off the procrastinating...rooted...flashed recovery and flashed this patch. I read somewhere that the Quadrant scores increased after wards.....so I tested before and after....saw about a 100 point increase.
Don't know if anything is snappier....heck, at my age...its how much of a blur didn't I see. But after dropping the Sensation from consideration and just moving on with the G2x...its time to start grabbing some goodies....

I agree that it does helps but not very noticeable. The reason I want to keep it stock is for the gingerbread update.
I have tried all EBs, CM7, Faux ROM, Bionix, Ultimate and might be forgetting some other ROM, I keep coming back to stock, I think is the most beautiful looking and want to be ready for the Gingerbread update.
But if I had to flash a ROM would be EB 1.05, Great ROM.

If and when I root my Charge, will the V6 Supercharger script work on it? Or is VooDoo lagfix more effective? This is my second device. The first was bought used and previously rooted with Odin. It was screwed up from the beginning. The recovery image was said to be missing and when I attempted to change roms, it bricked. Needless to say, I don't want to make the same mistake twice. If V6 works then I'm all for it. I'll have to riot it the right way too. Super one click seems best. Z4root and the Gingerbreak apk don't work. Tried all possibilities. If you have any info or have a version of something as an apk to root with just let me know. If appreciate responses as a PM preferably, but I can check here too. Thanks.

Second of all, I have never heard of V6 Supercharger on any Samsung phones. But do tell us if it works.

Anybody still using this and mind posting which settings they chose from the menu? I was considering giving it a try, but wary since I don't see many Charge owners using it.
It's a bit hard to understand since the tutorials are based on the Milestone.

My impression was that it was quite difficult to understand, I read through as much info as I could take in, gave it a shot, everything worked fine, but I didn't personally notice any difference, so I disabled it. I feel like the phone is already pretty darn fast using voodoo, I don't really get any lag, at least nothing that seems unreasonable. If someone else who has a better understanding of how the V6 supercharge works, and optimizes the settings for the charge, I might give it a shot again, but that would require someone thinking there was a problem to fix, and I don't think there is one.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I have just seen it now and then in people's signature here and there on this forum, so I thought I would ask.
I'm interested in this as well. Running Eclipse (Froyo version) with PBJ OC kernel/Voodoo Lagfix. Wondering whether any or all of Zepp's scripts will work/help on my setup.
I think this app does the same thing as those scripts. You can use this app to tweak androids internal task killer defaults. This is NOT a task killer, but allows you to tweak androids defaults.

No... really? You don't say?
Seriously, I think you didn't bother reading ANY of my OP.
At the top I even mention the difference.
I love it when people speak with confidence about a topic when they have no clue what their talking about.
But thanks for your insight. I learned alot.

You can ask hazard209. He has a Charge as well.
He's made a few posts in the Charge/redraw thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1209791
It will work though. The ROM doesn't matter.
It works on all rooted android roms and devices.
Lets get this thread rolling again...maybe we can figure out what issues we are running into while trying to supercharge. I love the script but I do tend to run into problems from time to time while running the script. Anyone who has visited the SC thread knows how massive it is and extremely hard it is to track down possible answers to our problems...
