Perfect. Emailed 'em for a quote.
As it turns out, I started a post with O2 sales yesterday, and I wasn't aware as I just found out tonight as I was doing homework on various phones(!), but theres two new variations of the JAM just about to come out - the XDA Atom and XDA Mini S. If the price is right, I'll probably end u going for one of those instead now, what with half price staff offers and whatnot.
Would be good to have this as a backup/something to sell on ebay if the repair price is right.

[Q] Where did you find your Transformer? (US)

As many of you guys know the Asus transformer came out today in the us. But i cant seem to find one! I've called all the bestbuys in my area, none of them have even heard of it, or have any info in their systems. Amazon and most other online retailers are sold out already. Where did you guys find em, if you did.

I bought two of the TF101-A1 (16GB version) at Fry's (they had 3 total) and I placed an order at Walmart.com at like 1am, which is supposed to be here tomorrow. I haven't been able to find a docking station anywhere...online or retail.
I managed to snag one of the TD bundles yesterday morning. No luck on any keyboard docks though

You need to be a materialistic individual to be able to stay up all night waiting for the Web sites to post the ASUS Transformer on their site at 3am only to have the entire stock be sold out in 3 minutes. I guess some people do not have jobs. So now you just wait like normal people and wait for the new shipment to arrive. I would recommend you pre order one. This is troublesome to know that this happens when something new is added to the market and people must have it now! In a month you will probably see a lot of them end up on EBay as the next new tablet will arrive and they will all have to have it now!
Good Luck

edit: not worth it.
Yeah, please the thread clean and on topic guys, what does it matter to you if someone sells a device to get another?
thanks

Damn it! So I went to Fry's because I thought they would atleast have it...
They also had no clue bout it... I feel like Asus left Illinois out of the loop...
And now the tigerdirect link is sold out too! Just my luck.
got mine from amazon and supposed to be delivered tomorrow.
hope you all get yours soon

you can try your luck on B&H since its a jewish holiday their store is closed and are not doing any online service til 9pm of today and the stores are not open today as well. you can check their website or go to the thread above to find the link.
They're hiding all over this planet so I had to go all the way to Cybertron to get mine.
jk, jk
I'm waiting for a brick and mortar store. I don't want to have to deal with mailing it back or waiting to get my $399 refunded in case I don't like it. So yeah, if anyone finds it at an actual store (target, walmart, best buy, other popular nationwide chain) please PM me! I have 2 weeks from yesterday till I can't return my Iconia Tab for a refund anymore.
Ordered mine at B&H at 9:00pm sharp, saved the tax and free shipping. If I don't like it ill sell it on Craigslist or ebay.... now just gotta play that waiting game
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Ordered mine on BestBuy.com last night between 12:30 and 1 am or so Pacific time, after failing on a number of other sites (missed the mad Amazon dash).
I couldn't actually find the product on BestBuy's site at that time via search but someone had posted a link on the preorder/retail thread that went to the direct order page.. followed the link.. it worked! Added item to cart, chose next day shipping, was expecting to get some sort of out of stock message at some stage of the order process as had happened on a few other sites, but it worked all the way through... Got confirmation email a few minutes later, shipping notice this morning along with a tracking number that UPS now confirms should arrive at my home tmw before 3pm.
Unfortunately the keyboard dock seems to be basically vaporware at this point, and that's a big motivator in why I picked this tablet so I hope I can buy one prior to June but it is difficult to tell if that will be possible since ASUS is doing a horrible, horrible job of communicating actual availability.
Ordered from Amazon 12:00 am on launch day. Received it yesterday!

I would think, that even if you bought it from an internet shop, they should have e-mailed you some sort of invoice or payment received with an order number and things.
I order from internet shops all the time, and every delivered order comes with a receipt, and also an e-mail notification.
If you don't have one, you should contact the internet shop and demand it. The order should include the information about the tablet, serial number, etc.

Thanks for advice.
But things go different in China. Most electronic products are made in China, then sold overseas at first. After 2-3 months or even half of an year, the products finally come to China's. Here another problem comes, we should face much more expansive price, about 30%-60% higher than abroad market.
People smuggle the products and sell them on the Internet Shop, it's illegal but most of youths like buying it, 'coz we can get the expective device early, and the price is acceptable, too.
There're no packs, guidebook, receipt, invoice, and no guarantee as well.
I can just got one tab, USB cable and charger, that's all I get from Internet vendor. (Most of Internet vendor in China are personal owned, not like Amazon)

Yeah, that's what I thought. Here in Moscow, we call it the "gray" market.
I had a small issue with my 701 as well (probably for the same brick as you). It was so new to the Russian market it wasn't in the Federal database for a couple of days. But all is well, and should get it back this or next week.
Sorry I can't help you on the warranty thing. I suppose you registered it on Acer's site when you first got it and went through the setup wizard?
But as you say, they want a receipt. Not sure why, as it's clearly so new, the warranty should still be good. You will just have to argue nicely with them.

It's possible NVFlash would help, but as far as I know, Acer won't release an SBK generator for the 51x or 70x. And, it probably wouldn't help with the corrupted memory blocks. This is why they changed the mainboard. Seems it's the only thing thay can do.
Glad you got your tab fixed

This is the thread to keep an eye on (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2506268&highlight=amazon). The latest is nobody knows anything, rep info is not trustworthy, and there is no guarantee it will be sold unlocked OR at the Play Store price.

[Q] Buying a nexus 5 1 question

Hi, new to the forums and want to ask a question as maybe there are people here who will be able to help me.
I want to buy a nexus 5, and currently I'm looking at one on ebay for £50 less than the price on the google store. I asked the seller whether it comes with warranty and he said no as its being imported from outside the UK, however he said its a Genuine LG Nexus 5 even though its from hong kong (now you see my concern)
£290, is it worth risking it for a possible fake? (if there are fakes out there that is)
Thanks,
Rús

Pay the extra 50. It's worth it for the peace of mind and warranty. If it is a fake or it has a problem with it, it's going to be a nightmare and it's going to cost you much more to get it fixed.
