Omnia Internal Gsm Antenna - Help Needed - General Questions and Answers

Hi guys,
The story started before 1 week when happily i decided to buy a full housing spare parts for my omnia and hopefully it should looks like new...the package came and i opened my omnia to change the parts...the cover didnt fit 100% but with some small patents finally it fitted...the phone booted up and everything looked "ok"...the next day i realized that call quality was too low, sometimes call dropped(cause of the too low signal) and inside building i have no signal...
Now guys does anyone knows anything about that?
where is the phone gsm transmitter and it cables?
or what else can i do...
Please your the only help i can have...
Thanks,
Andy

Audio Issue

Hi there everybody,
First of all, I'd just like to point out that I'm new to this forum, a friend of mine referred me to here.
I have a Tornado SPV C600, which as of today, is running WM6 Platinum Edition 5.2.1711.18165.0.5.0 SP1 by NiTroGen.
On with the problem, a couple of weeks ago my ipod died. Again.... So this time I decided to put some music on my C600. 3 days later, the headphone jack got pulled out of the socket when I put the phone back into my pocket after choosing a track. Since then, whenever somebody has called me, or I've called somebody, no sound comes out of the earpiece on the phone itself. The only way I can hear what's going on is by plugging the handsfree headset back into the bottom.
The same issue occurs when using HTC Audio Manager/WMP to play music through the phone's speaker....I have to use the headphones again.
However, the phone does seem to be playing small sounds like the annoying jingle when I receive a text. Which leads me to believe that it is a software issue rather than a hardware issue.
Has anybody ever had this problem? Could anyone point me in a direction?
Thanks,
Bassmad
You've damaged the jack. Probably the solder points where the jack connects to the board, or possibly the spring-like part inside the jack which acts like a switch.
Go to the Modaco forums for disassembly instructions and follow the guide to open yours. Take a good look at the jack; if it's loose, see if you know anyone good enough to resolder it for you.
i have same problem before 2 week and i try plugin hardly my earphone several time.and solved it

You probably loosened the stuck springy part or pushed the part back into the board.

Strange hole on the back

Hey there,
I just received my new Polaris - but one hole is not sealed by a cap. It's not the GPS antenna, but some other kind of antenna, but I don't know whether it's bad to have this hole on the back and whether there is a cap for it...
Does somebody also have this hole on the back and knows what this connector is for? Looks very similar to the GPS antenna... I already thought whether it's an antenna for radio or GSM...
Sorry, attaching a photo...
thats some serious hardware hacking...
if you got it like that return it back to the one that sold you it.
I have no hole or cap what so ever at that location. Are you sure this is a Polaris? Perhaps you got some test-model with an extra adaptor plug for something on it.
im asking the same question in another thread...
and hoping for answers there.

a guy there has dismatled the phone so im putting in a question about what is showed in your hole.
by finding out whats under there im thinking of (fm radio) maybe somone has built some extension from there.
example the personbe before you might have used the phone in a car alot and had bad FM reception and wanted to build a FM extension.
Good question
I wrote to HTC this morning. Let's see what they say...
Also I was wondering because the S/N for this phone is not known at HTC for the official download of the new WM6.1 update...
Anyways, somewhere behind the battery there is a "POLA100" printed on the phone... As it completely looks like that phone, as it has the "htc" logo on the front and as it has the "POLA100" written inside, it MUST be one..
Anyways, I was also wondering, because the plug for the power cable is some sort of UK one (without the third connector), no euro-plug..
Strange thing it is... I will let you know about the answer from HTC...
Ah, before I forget, I have a better picture of the hole... I attach it...
There is a slot for external gsm antena

HTC Sensation Repair!

Hello guys, i traded my garmin asus a50 with htc sensation because it was my dream phone
It's dropped and the battery cover is broken so ill get a new one, but when i try to turn on wifi after a couple of seconds it says error and the bluetooth doesn't work either. I'm sure it's a hardware thing because it didn't work with the 2.3.5 android and i installed the latest stable cyanogenmod and it doesn;t work even now.
Also, i need to replace the internal loud speaker because the sound is blurry. Can someone tell me where can i find the parts: speaker and wifi/bluetooth chip or antenna.
Also, because of the dropping down, the screen on the right hand side isn't sticked all the way down as it should be.
Cheers!

I believe the antennas are built into the backing so you'll probably want to try replacing that first.
Moving to Sensation Q&A
...
yeah, the antennas are into the back cover, but if they are wrong, only the signal would be lost. I get an error when i try to turn on wifi, so i don't have wifi at all, not just a bad signal...

In call speaker (earpiece) stopped working, replacing the module didn't fix it

Hello everyone,
The phone is a leeco x526 bought from banggood couple of years ago
Suddenly the in call speaker stopped working
I went on and bought a couple of earpiece module replacement from aliexpress,
I've disassembled the phone and replaced it, but did not solve the problem: still no sound from the in call speaker.... tried both the earpieces I bought
All the rest is working fine, including the loudspeker on the bottom.
PS. I've also tried reflashing the rom (even the stock one)
I don't know what to try next, hoping some guru around here can help me
I'm almost tempted to try the oven trick, but I'll wait a few days to see if anyone can gives me some other idea

Can you upload photos?
Perhaps the connection of the replacement speaker is weak?
Or maybe the contacts on the main board a little loose
Pictures would be helpful
Thanks for the answers.
I'm not sure if it's Hardware or Software, but I think it's hardware since when it stopped working it didn't had any update/rom flash/etc
I've tried to clean the contacts on the pcb
The earpice is not misplaced cause it's forced in the right position by the black plastic cover that sits over the pcb
Here's a pic, sorry for the weird quality:
I've tested the 2 earpieces that came from aliexpress with a multimeter in "continuity mode" and for both the value is around 30, I think they are ok.
I don't know if there's a way to test with the multimeter those 2 points on the pcb where the earpiece should sit.
Well I guess I'll give the oven trick it's chance next weekend, then I'll toss it away or use it as a car gps
