Hello guys, i traded my garmin asus a50 with htc sensation because it was my dream phone
It's dropped and the battery cover is broken so ill get a new one, but when i try to turn on wifi after a couple of seconds it says error and the bluetooth doesn't work either. I'm sure it's a hardware thing because it didn't work with the 2.3.5 android and i installed the latest stable cyanogenmod and it doesn;t work even now.
Also, i need to replace the internal loud speaker because the sound is blurry. Can someone tell me where can i find the parts: speaker and wifi/bluetooth chip or antenna.
Also, because of the dropping down, the screen on the right hand side isn't sticked all the way down as it should be.
Cheers!

I believe the antennas are built into the backing so you'll probably want to try replacing that first.
Moving to Sensation Q&A
...
yeah, the antennas are into the back cover, but if they are wrong, only the signal would be lost. I get an error when i try to turn on wifi, so i don't have wifi at all, not just a bad signal...

Hello,
I have a problem with the Keyboard vibration on my Sensation.
This is the story. I currently have a HD2 with Android CM7 (ACA) i really like it but i want a better camera. The one in the HD2 simply sux. Thats the only bad thing about that phone.
A Friend of mine had a sensation witch is 1-2 months old. He wanted a iphone 4S so i bought the phone. (he turned the vibration off @ day 1 do i dont know is this problem was alway's there)
I did not try the stock rom yet but in any other rom: ARHD, IncertCoin, Energy, LeeDroid i have the same problem.
My Keyboard vibration will stop working same goes for vibration when being called. I tried multiple roms, kernels and Radio's.
That had no effect. I also tried: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/fix-htc-sensation-unresponsive-screen-issue-diy-guide/
But that did not help. What i did find out is the following:
-If the keyboard does not work i remove the the battery cover and it works again.
-It will also keep working as long as i keep the cover removed. If i put it back on it will keep working for a little while before it stops again.
-If i put paper between the silver connector on the side it wont make a difference it works for a while and then stops.
-If i put paper between the bottom copper connector it works better. Sometime it stops but it seems to work a bit longer. And if it stops it sometimes will come back without removing the cover. I still have a phone signal and wifi signal.
Does anyone know what that bottom antenna is for? I heard more people have this problem. Does anyone know what is causing it?
Thanks in advance!
Update. The bottom Antenna is the GPS Antenna.
Covering that is no fix for the problem only seems to improve it a bit.
If i cover one of the top antenna's it does not work at all.
the one at the top is for the Wifi and telephone. the one below that i dont know yet. But i still had a signal when that was covered.
Update 2:
I think i found the problem. The vibration motor is located under the Sim card.
When i remove the cover and put presure on the front side just below the back button and the back side on the left side of the sim card near the edge of the phone it does not work anymore.
So i think there is a connection problem with the motor. I'm not pressing on the rotating part of the motor so it could spin if it was working.
I guess i will have to send it in :'(
I used to have a Desire and the vibration would sometimes stop working, I'd just tap the phone with my hand and it would work again. Not ideal really.
I have similar problems. Going to call HTC tomorrow to get it fixed.
Hello All,
Last night after I S-Offed my Desire S I instantly installed Custom ROMS for HTC Desire S and encountered a problem. No matter what ever I do,while I call or be called,I can't hear a voice neither the opposite party can hear a thing. Is there any fixes to this bug ? Neither whenever I get a call or SMS I cant hear the ringer-tone!
I also have encountered this same bug in many Custom ROM'S.
Neither I can't hear sound in any Media or Radio,Nor the loud speaker works!
Somebody please help me out!
Thanks in advance!

What rom are you on? cm7 seems to be working fine.
Try putting on the ear phones to see u have sound.
Try turning off your phone and removing the battery for a few minutes then putting them back on.
I have found the fix but unfortunately it is quite troublesome for me right now!
If I change the back cover then all seems to be working fine,I changed my back cover and put on a friends back cover and voila ! All is OK.
After inspecting the back cover I see there is two narrow metalic parts maybe used as the antenna/connect to the antenna,my one's seems very shaky and somewhat broken in the middle.
Guess it's time for HTC RMA ....
If you've got some skill (+dexterity) in using a soldering iron, the fix is easier than you think. The problem also says something about the effort you put into getting the cover loose in the first place
I recently changed the housing on my M8 to red and have been using the phone perfectly until I recently tried to use GPS and found it non functional. I have tried flashing sense roms which have always gotten a GPS lock right away no matter which version I was using at the time. I am running the latest Lollipop firmware and currently am on bliss CM12, however no matter what rom I try I always end up with no lock and no signal change when looking at GPS status or other application. Is the GPS module on this phone plugged in or physically attached to one of the main/daughter boards? It almost seems like either the new body is interfering or the GPS is unplugged(if that is possible). Any help here would be greatly appreciated as the only other thing I know to try is to purchase replacement speaker grills and try swapping back to the original housing.
Have a look at this thread. It may the answer for you.

That you SO MUCH, that sounds highly likely due to the tightness of the rear housing.
FIXED!!!! I can't thank you enough for that link. I found the "pin" broken off(sorta? it looks like it is held by placement rather than solder) ended up soldering a very short piece of wire to the small pad on the board so that it touches the case when closed. Booted up and GPS Status locked 12 Satellites immediately
I have a problem with my s7 G930F, wifi and moble hotspot are not working at all, when i turn on wifi or hotspot it just showing turning on ..
and when i turn on bluetooth it works for 5 seconds and then keeps switching off and on after every 5 seconds
i tried to wipe cache, factory reset, return to stock rom, install custom roms, install latest modem and bootloader but that did not fix the problem.
please help !!!

Check water sticker on botton of sim slot
I had the same issue with a board i fitted to G930F bluetooth wasnt working nor wifi for no apparent reason i went through absolute everything firmware wise and system wise and couldnt figure out what the problem was i then removed everything once again looking for a loose connection it turns out the board i fitted in the top right hand corner there is a silver chip that controls wifi and bluetooth under the antenna there was a small black spot i noticed once carefully cleaned up i found the culprit there are 2 tiny fuses that blew conecting to the wifi chip this chip must also control bluetooth and NFC as that no longer works also.

I did find the solution unfortunately it requires the wifi ic chip to be replaced along with the fuses accompanied to the chip on the logic board but that means micro soldering the new chip on the other solution is change the board out when you take the antenna at the top off at the top right is the silver chip look at the circuitry and you should find a black burnt out spot also check the aerial for plastic burn where the chip sits
Thats the only solution available that ive found, not even the factory binary found the issue with the hardware though
That one chip though controls the wifi/bluetooth/android hostspot/NFC funnily enough though even though its blown visually the wifi toggles on still and will every now and then pick a network up for a second, the bluetooth toggles on but will not find any other device and other devices cannot find it either, the android hotspot turns on and broadcasts a signal but when trying to connect to it it will not connect, the NFC toggle is also set to on with the writing and toggle greyed out and NFC apps asking to turn on the chip but it cannot be toggled these are symptoms of the error,
If you would like to inspect your device,
If you dont know what your doing order a new backing i can successfully remove them without cracking them with a hair dryer, screen puller the cheap ****ty ring ones, and a guitar pick,
To start heat the backing of the phone up with hair dryer until its warm/hot next step is my secret trick to pop the watertight seal take the sim tray out and no **** blow into it youll hear the seal break get the ring puller pull it up enough to get the guitar pick in and just slide it all the way round,
Once the backs off theres 3 screws at top on antenna your gonna wanna use a phillips #00 for them once the screws are out get a pair of tweezers and slide them into the slot on the left side of the antenna where the vibrator is and pull up it will probably go flying if you use to much force but it wont break, the circuit and wifi module are now exposed on the top right diagnose the board for burnt spots if there is there, take the NFC chip off below the antenna and then the speaker to expose the charging port check the bottom right hand corner for circuitry burning also.

Hi, I have same problem for long, I tried all software options: factory reset, network reset, hard reset, wipe, firmware upgrade, downgrade,,
I can use NFC without problem but WiFI and Bluetooth are greyed out or stucking on turn on without finding anything.
Could you confirm what is the right IC for it ? I found two different IC number one on Ebay another on Part4reparirs , not sure which one is legit as both claim to be G930 wifi-IC (can't add link as I am new user)
also I would be interested to know where to buy fuse for it
I really miss my phone for few month using spare xiaomi now

Hey mate im a phone technician,
Ive got a few boards qnd broken S7 laying around ill pull one down and take a picture and label it and what not & will post it here for you,
The ic chip isn't actually a fuse its an actual chip which controls the wifi and bluetooth functions of the phone NFC is locted on 2 different part of the board aswell as wireless charging coil etc, so if that stuffed best of getting a new board, but however there is a small thermistor (ThermalTransistor) just before the wifi bluetooth ic hopefully for you its blown that and stopped current before getting to the wifi ic, i will also label this in the diagram
Hopefully in your case its the thermistor youll know anyway if it is will be blown with black or white residue everywhere and your antenna may be partially burnt out in that case, you will also need to check the daughter board for black or white burn residues also in the bottom right hand corner ill take a picture and label again also,
If i cant get the pics up straight away for you its because xda app is being a pain in the ass still and wont let me upload being playing up for a week now

Thanks for reply,, based on your explanation still other thing like antenna fuse thermistor could be damaged and ordering them one by one + shipping is not good idea.. I may better find cheap broken LCD S7 and ask technician to swap the board for me.
still looking forward to the pics... my Insta Gram acc is [at]kian.moments :fingers-crossed:
Hello everyone, i recently upgraded my mom's phone from an htc 610 to my old nexus 5 i had lying around so i took it up to the AT&T store and the rep tried to pull off the backing of the phone thinking it was a cover, got about halfway down, and disconnected / broke the top speaker (the one used just for phone calls). So she can't hear people on the other end of calls anymore and i'm trying to figure out a way to fix this (taking the phone apart being a last resort, but i'll do it if i have to) It's not a software bug (switched around various roms, kernels, audio settings) and the top speaker worked fine before so i'm trying to figure a workaround like routing all the audio for calls to the bottom speaker but i have no idea how i would go about doing that. If anyone has any ideas how i could do this or maybe any other suggestions i would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time! ^^
