Anything like tarkim's keyboard controller for the Leo? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

I know my HD2 doesn't have a "keyboard" per se, but is there any app out there that let's me add functionality as easily as tarkim's controller apps to the seven buttons it does have?
Thanks!

I second this question. I would really love to have a keyboard remapper like the one from tarkim, which unfortunately is not for Leo. :-(

+1 for this!

Me three!
AE Button plus just doesn't have the functionality I need.

Is there anyone knows how to tell it to Tarkim?

Software keyboards

can someone please tell me were to get the htc software keyboards from!!
i put 6.5 on my phone but there are no software keyboards but the windows 1..i need them please please help!
the default HTC keyboard is called "EzInput". Searching for that will yield you better results.
Also check out the new "FingerKeyboard" I find it works alot better then the default one. It is one I use currently.
Another keyboard I found worked very well was Spb Keyboard. It allows finger gestures for backspace and space. Helps alot.
Also PocketCM Keyboard is REALLY sweet if you can get it set up properly. This keyboard allows for "sloppy" typing. Using this keyboard, you don't have to press the keys exactly. It references your taps against a dictionary and is pretty accurate.
I like the look and feel of FingerKeyboard but find the way PocketCM Keyboard works simply amazing. Both keyboards allow skinning. A mix of the two would be amazing.

NOVA

Everybody knows nova from gameloft as it is one of the best android games but I have a question, is there any 3d party software/hack anything to map the keys to physical buttons? I am only interested in the fire button mapped to the camera key on a Motorola Milestone. This would make the game a lot better. Thank you in advance
It should be possible yes, i dont know how much work it would need though
Never knew N.O.V.A was on Android.
Must check it out
I do think that they should add physical button support.
Problem if it comes with Mapping done it would need to be user mapping because of the array of android devices with differet buttons in different places

True, but it could just be as easy as the other apps on the market that enable user-customizable key-mapping. I have a Galaxy S line phone, so no physical keyboard. But coming from an HTC Fuze, I can see why this would be handy
Gameloft
I sent an email to the gameloft team suggesting that this feature should be added. I hope we can all enjoy this feature for their games.

Phonepad Keyboard App

So yeah, I spend the whole day searching for a better phonepad keyboard. But everything that pops out is for qwerty. Texting is a major communication tool in our country and yeah, english is not the norm so I can't use Swype even though I'm dying too use it. So a better phonepad keyboard is the solution.
I wanna change it since the Optimus 1 keyboard is too cramped for me, I'm looking for one with bigger keys.
Thanks in advance!!
What exactly are you looking for? A number pad style keyboard? Blackberry style keyboard (2 letters per key)? Or just a better QWERTY?
I'm not sure but I think the HTC_IME keyboard allows various styles to choose from (all of the above 3 I mentioned). There is also Swype which eliminates the need for large keys (because you don't press the keys, you use motion gestures).
Me, I personally love the stock Android keyboard. It seems pretty good at knowing what I'm pounding out.
A number pad keyboard. The ones that you see from older phones
Search for the IME mod keyboard. It's got a phone keypad style keyboard.

WOW!!!!!! It works! Thank you so much~!!! This is exactly what I'm looking for! You can even edit the smileys! Perfect! Thanks!
Oh no. Wait, I had a bit of a problem.
I don't know what is the setting called but I'm pretty sure it's present in tis app.
When I use the phonepad keyboard, for example I press "2" so the 1st letter that will come out is "A" I noticed that the time that "A" is highlighted is quite long compared to the native android keyboard, thus slowing my typing down. It does not only affect the phonepad keyboard but also the compact qwerty. How do I edit this setting? Thanks!!
Please I really need help!
Sorry, you cannot edit that setting.
Try instead Better keyboard. It also has a keypad-like one.

bluetooth keyboard

Hey everyone,
This may be a bit of an off question as it applies to all android phones not ust the one s but here goes....
I just picked up an iHome Bluetooth Keyboard, designed for the ipad. Connected with ease to my one S and I am currently using it to type out this post. Works fantastic. No lag to speak of and the keys are really nice. One drawback, it is designed for Ipad lol. Sooooo the question here is whether or not it is possible to remap the keys on the keyboard to perform funtions on Android. I.e. map the function buttons to quicklaunch apps or to use the arrow keys to roll around the UI as I have not yet picked up a mouse. the arrow keys work in certain apps like the text message app or the browser. keyboard is a dream for emulation, takes me back to my early pc no gamepad emulation days lol. anyways, if anyone has some input on the subject i would love to hear it. Thanks in advance to your helpful replies. Love this community!!!

Hi,
I've managed to remap some hotkeys by opening up the terminal emulator (which you can download here) and inserting the string "am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.android.settings/.quicklaunch.QuickLaunchSettings" without quotes (thanks to norristh for this). This way you can map each search+letter shortcut and, IN MY KEYBOARD, hotkeys are nothing but a search+letter combination (I mean, if you change the search+letter behaviour you also change the hotkey behaviour).
The only hotkeys I haven't been able to get working are the apps key and the mute key (they aren't probably integrated natively in android).
Try it out!
i bought an ihome bluetooth wireless keyboard and i am unable to pair it with my inspire4g. i need some help please. i try to type ''0000'' and ''1234'' with no luck. what am i missing. it's a race to get this done because my girlfriend wants me to take it back, but i know it will work.

Keyboard as trackpad like iOS (3D Touch)

Hey there,
this is my first post because I am about to switch from my jailbreaked iPhone to a rooted Android device. I'm curious if there is a tweak around that lets me use my keyboard as a trackpad. Apple implemented that feature by force touch the keyboard. But for devices which don't support 3D touch there is a tweak called KBSwipe9 which allows you to use this feature just by tapping with two fingers on the keyboard.
So I am searching for something like KBSwipe9 for Android.
I am considering to grab a Galaxy S8 and since they have a 3D like 'home button' I am wondering whether you could use this hardware and make a real iPhone like tweak when you are in keyboard mode.
I would be glad if anyone got any ideas or knows how to implemet that because it is a very small but neat function which I probably would miss on Android.
Cheers :good:
