Mute SMS tones when playing music? - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

Just looking for an option, app, or widget that does this. I just want something that will auto-mute any incoming noise I receive and default to vibrate when listening to Pandora or using Doubletwist, and then unmute them when I've got music paused or stopped. So far I have found nothing that will do this.
Thanks.

prevent notification ringtone during audio playing?

Most of the time I like having the notification ringtone ding when i get an email or text message. however, it is annyoing when listening to music because it completely stops the music, beeps, then it continues to play.
anyway to disable it during the music playing or have it do it "ontop" of the background audio?
i'd hate to have to editsettings and disable it everytime i decide to listen to a song or two. then do settings and enable when i'm done.
I get so many emails it may do it 3 or 4 times in each song.. so annoying!

using the application "tasker" you could probably make profile that sets your notification sounds to silent and vibrate while music is playing and then set the volume back up when you close the music app.

Music + Ringtone problem

I have a strange problem with my samsung Focus. If I am listening to music and I get a call, the music wont stop. If the phone is on vibrate mode, then the phone will vibrate while the music is playing. If the phone is on ringing mode, then only the name of the caller will flash on the screen and the music will continue to play. The ringtone wouldnt play.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Samsung Focus running Wp Tango updated using cab sender method. Thanks.
Nobody has a solution to this problem? Its really annoying and I cannot keep the phone in ringing mode and listen to songs at the same time. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Anyway to make notifications stop pausing music?

I use the app Don't Pause but is there something native I can enable that won't get killed in 5 minutes?

I leave mine in vibrate when I listen to music. You could turn off notifications for certain apps to if you do not want them to notify you.
Edit: You can customize some of what you want to come through in the do not disturb settings. I have mine setup for at night so that only calls & texts from contacts come in. If you did this, and only allowed the important stuff that might help too.

The problem is I do want them to notify me. I just want it to stop fading the music to a point where I can barely hear it whenever I get a notification.
Poweramp has a setting that will not pause the music for navigation, notifications etc. Just tested with a text and it works. I know it works with navigation as I use it in car

Audio notification when in a call!?!?!?

I am on a company call as we are patching servers and every time we bounce a server I get a bunch of text notifications which is expected. The only issue is I am wearing headphones for the call on my honor 8 and I hear the notification sound in the headphones. Super annoying! Any way to turn this off??? Thanks in Advance.

I don't think Emui has a automatic option. But you can always set notifications to silent or vibrate only.
I suppose there would be an app that changes the sound profile according to phone activity, but never looked for it.

Unless using a specific app for that (with root?), no.
Well that sucks. I require audio notification. But it is way too loud in headphones. This is a deal breaker for me. Contemplating returning device to store...

I found a workaround for those who don't like audio notifications from SMS/MMS messagese in headphone while listening to music or watching videos. Install Google Messenger and use it instead. It seems that the Messaging app in EMUI is the issue. It's also weird that there is no option in the app to disable the "beep beep" sound that only happens when headphones are plugged in. Don't forget to set notification sound in Messaging to "None" and disable "Vibrate" or you may have notification from both apps.
OK now this is getting rediculous!! When on a call the person on the other end of the call can hear my calendar and text notifications. It sounds like incoming call "beep beep". This needs to be fixed as it is very unprofessional when on a business call. Please fix this Huawei!!!!

Yes, I get that too. The only way is to silent notifications and vibration.
People are talking to me and ask "what was that?", should have a option to disable it.
Also I haven't found any sound manager in Google play store. Probably only xPosed.

Could you try set up a ifttt script or something?
I've never done it personally, but I've seen others use it for problems, so maybe?
This seems like a bug asit does not always happen.

I'm experiencing this too, anyone has a solution for this annoying behaviour ?
I've written on honor 8 support forum, and they suggest to send my phone to an assistant center, but i think it is a software bug.
I can't really test this right now, but it looks like there is a way to fix it in settings. Under the Do Not Disturb section you can add a rule for an event and one of the options besides calendar events just states "Phone". That ought to squelch the problem.
For me I installed Volume Control + from GPS.
There is a free version but I did not test it on my Honor 8. Still the Volume Control + has controls to separate the Ring tone and Notifications volume so the work independently of each other.
To date this is the only option which works for me without Rooting my device..
Best of all you can manage your volume level for calls to system...
Now I can use the earbuds or phone without getting deaf while on a call or listening to music when a notification comes in...

Huh, mine definitely says Phone and it worked when I tried. I only tested on an outgoing call with my Bluetooth headphones, though. Hope you can find a way that works for you.

[Workaround] Notifications interrupting media playback

I've been searching around the web and have not found an answer to this problem. Regardless of the phone being on silent, vibrate, or even do not disturb, text notifications still interrupt the music that is playing. It happens with Google Play Music, Pandora, and Spotify.
I downloaded a couple apps to manage media and notification volumes individually, but one didn't work at all, and the other simply muted the notification but the music still lowers for a second, as if the notification is still occuring.
Can anyone help me out? This is quite frustrating.
Please, and thank you for your time.
Update: I noticed this only occurs with a headset plugged in or connected via Bluetooth. When using the phone's speakers for music playback, notifications do not interrupt the music.
Workaround: I managed to find a slightly more bearable solution. Here is basically what I did.
1 - Download third party texting app for play store.
2 - Assign new text app as default.
3 - Go to Settings -> Apps, find stock messaging app, and disable all notification settings.
4 - Modify new text app notifications to vibrate only.
I don't know if some of these steps are excessive/unnecessary, but I'm tired of tinkering around so much, so I'm settling here. I hope this can help someone that finds themselves in the same situation. Again, I do not claim this to be the best solution; just slightly less bad.
