On Aldiko, every eBook the first page of each chapter is entirely on the screen ,but after that, parts of the pages are partially on the previous screen. I have tried all of the layout settings, but I still cannot fix it. Has anyone been able to fix this?

I apologize in advance if this is something that is well known to all the people who can use the search engine on the forum, but I haven't seen anything like that in the postings i have read so far.
Some time today, I have got this problem that I am eager to solve. I just got my Fuze on Tuesday, so over the last couple of days I have installed a large numbers of .cab files. Apparently, after one of this installations something have changed, and on my Today page there is a white shade of the man's head (if you go to Contacts tab, for the contacts, for which you have no picture, you will see a smaller version of it)
So, my question is whether there is a way to remove it from my Today page

Looks like a regular wallpaper to me. Try to change it in TouchFlo: Settings->Wallpaper and choose something different... or restore it to default.

Thanks, guys. Indeed the problem was solved by setting the wallpaper to default. Once again thanks a lot for your help - it is my first WM phone, so I am still learning

Hi there mate, sorry to hear about that, the driving force for my X10 was that the screen made an amazing ebook reader. As of yet i have not hit your problem
I havnt used their internal store i imported my own and used this converter
(http://ebook.online-convert.com/convert-to-epub) so maybe try re-converting or re-downloading
may i suggest also turning off oreintations AND / OR animations i have them both OFF and they may be the reason.
Does your ebook have may picutres? or iregular formatting?? that might be the issue
reinstall the program, im using the premium version which as far as i know has nothing new its just to suppor the dev's but maybe try that??
let me know if it works or not
ALSO wat sub model im using the x10i from NZ wbu??

sorry just re-read your post and i didnt realise that you have an x10 mini, still try some of my suggestings, it may just be your tiny screen size
I think that is not problem screen size, with FBreader or WordPlayer have not problem with rendering,only with Aldiko.Will try some of Your suggestions

well as far as im concerned aldiko is the un-disputed best ebook app on the market and if i were in your shoes i'd try my hardest to get it to work, but if it doesnt work for ya wat can you do?? SHORT OR REINSTALLING THE OS??? and u dont wana do that!!!
It definetely has to do with the small screen size, unfortunately.
Maybe in a future update of the Aldiko app, the low screen resolution will be better supported. But in general, such small screens are not intended for reading.

i beleive i may have solved your problem, go into your book, click the menu hard key select "settings" and then go to layout settings and change your margins, also i find that wen my oreintations are mixed around i get this problem

I have a similar problem, though the other way around. As each chapter starts in Sun Tsu "The Art of War", that comes with Aldiko, the page is correctly displayed, but for each new page within a chapter you see a little bit more of the next page on the right of the screen and a little bit more of the page you're on disappears on the left. I have found no layout settings to fix this. I assume you all can reproduce this and that it is due to a bug in Aldiko that will hopefully be corrected.
Problem solved after new Aldiko update.
This is a problem with all WP7 phones yet I can't find any details about it anywhere.
In some websites, certain portions of text will appear abnormally large, as if the text size was set to large and the zoom level was set to normal. Is there a way to fix it?

I sometimes have this problem briefly on xda developers website, but when it is done loading, it goes back to normal. Try changing your browser settings to desktop view for viewing that site and see what that does.
I have a problem with IE on Omnia 7. The problem is it wont load any page... My connection is OK because everything else works (email, "Now" tile refreshes weather and news normally, my facebook account is regulary updated).
Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

There's nothing wrong with the IE in WP7. That's an error in the website's code. That's a problem with so many different browsers being out. Different browsers display pages differently. It's the web developers job to test their code in multiple browsers to make sure they display properly.
Then why does it happen with 8 out of every 10 websites I visist?
Can you go to overclock.net and see if you can reproduce the problem?
I have tried the IE9 in the new updated emulator and it definitely fixes this.

I'm not yet allowed to post in the dev forum so my question goes here. I went with the mentioned ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1080009 at version 0.2.4 and it is great, overall. But since I updated to 0.2.5 I have one issue: The system (really the whole system not only one app) cannot display special characters (Non-ascii?).
Example: Titanium Backup * Root. If you look at it's market entry it has a Star between the App name and "Root". I see only a empty box instead. Also, in the app itself, it has some bullets on the main screen (also small stars) that end up as boxes here. Web pages with such characters also don't show properly. I. e. a typical google code issue list has little triangles pointing up or down to indicate sorting: boxes here ... There are some place in the Android system setting screen where those boxes show up and probably more places I just cant remember right now. Initially, I installed 0.2.5 right over 0.2.4 and I don't remeber seeing those boxes. But then I read in the announcement that a wipe is suggested and I did the wipe and reinstalled 0.2.5 and now I have this
Anybody else seeing this?
Any ideas about a fix?

Opening Dolphin HD begins to load my homepage (Google) and seemingly after its done it then auto hides the tabs bar. Does anyone know how to disable this? (auto hiding the tabs bar)

Cool Thanks. The reason why I care is because there is a delay in hiding the tabs. It causes me to accidentally select something lower on the screen than I entend to often. Because it will delay, and I won't be thinking and I'll go to select the textbox on the google home page for example. Just as I'm selecting it Dolphin autohides the tabs (Which causes the whole screen to move up), and I end up accidentally selecting "Restaurants, Coffee. or Bars". Really annoying after about the 1000th time it happens.
Well either I imagined it or they've removed the option, cos I can't find it either. I think you're gonna have to get in touch with the developers and ask them.
