Hi,
I have a HTC Touch 3g with a Processor Qualcomm® MSM7225™, 528 MHz with 256 MB of ROM and 192 MB of RAM, can I install any version of Android? Is it possible?
Thanks,
António Neto
OK I have unlocked the Verizon Nexus, (No this is a contract phone) I mean my Nexus and the down-loadable from the market "Root" says, "Congratulations This Device Has Root Access!" (because I rooted it) When I hit the power button and power back up the Nexus and the volume I get a START > and below a Android lying down and beneath him "Fastboot Mode" is in RED and at the bottom it is also in RED and it says, "Lock State - UNLOCKED"
Here's my questions;
1. Can I now freely use another carrier ?
2. Because this is a Verison contract phone and it states it's "unlocked" am I free of Verizon to go to AT&T or someone else ?
3. If no is your answer what can I do so I can escape Verizon and make my Nexus to do and go where I want to go ?
Sincerely;
Michele Dazine
You are locked with Verizon since the device can only operate on Verizons CDMA Technology. Where AT&T is GSM. The Nexus is not duel band. Unfortunately you couldn't even go to Sprint even though they use CDMA because of the operating frequency bands are different.
I believe your only options are Revel, or PagePlus.

That just means that your bootloader is unlocked. You are not carrier unlocked.

So which is it ? Can I pay to have it unlocked and move to another carrier or how can I make it a GSM phone? Thank you
You cannot make a CDMA phone (Verizon, Sprint) work on a GSM network (AT&T, T-Mobile). When they say dual band, they mean 2G and 3G. Please stop thinking you can. The two types of phones have entirely different hardware and that information is all over the internet and this site.

Wow I've never heard of those. Are they available in America?
I was hoping for 4G LTE and if possible at least 1gb of ram.
I've seen the Pantech Flex P8010 but don't know if that is a good choice and if it is supported here.
Note:The specs for the jiayu seems impressive for a phone I've never heard of.
They got a huge community, but mainly in Spanish and Russian
They both got 1gb ram and 3g, but you should check network compatibility in America

Can anyone suggest a good cheap option for a cell phone in America that is supported here on XDA?

The phone looks great and the specs are nice but I'm in America and would be using At&t network through Net10 provider. At&t uses 4G LTE technology. How would one this phone behave in terms of data speed used in ATT network?
