Just a quick suggestion to android devs who may want to make a buck or two!
Make a live wallpaper that pulls weather information down every hour or so and sets the background to that animated weather. The goal would be to get it working the same way as the HD2's animated weather backgrounds do.
I'd code this myself if I could, but I'm a little bit on the coding-challenged side. I'll type a few lines of code regardless and see what I can do.
If someone did this elegantly I would definitely pay for it!
EDIT: The developer of 'Beautiful Widgets' has said he's working on exactly this. When paired with the Beautiful Home Widget, it will display a live animation of the current weather based on what the widget's weather is.

No it's a blatant ripoff of the HD2 UI. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be sweet though.
There's a few live wallpapers in the marketplace at the moment that are very close to this idea. One switches the background based on weather to a static image of your choice, and the other pulls down Flickr pictures around your area of the current weather.

Just to add to this idea, it would be cool if the "live weather" background would use the screen itself as a "window" where raindrops would splash on it (when it's rainy outside). When it's sunny, it could also use the compass and accelerometer to (roughly) identify where the sun is and show glare circles that point to the direction of the sun.

That sounds amazing but all those sensor reading and screen updates are gonna sting the battery I would think.

looking closer into it the messaging app is blur depended along with blur contact integration...the picker is easy and can be written in a few minutes...however the framework requires blur.

so thats a no to them being ported? i thought that they could sense blur is now an apk and runs in the background and isnt intergrated into the os?

the only problem with is having another 40mb ui on your device running in the background...but regardless of that...porting this cannot be done without blur and few other dependencies.

So after re reading this what if we were to have thw messaging apk kook for htc contact intergration ?
This is not my screenshot (or i obviously would not be looking the widget ) i'm looking that widget with the android talking and the speech bubble the one at the top?

i found it on app brain but ive found that it causes launcherpro to reload every time and it causes random crashes too so i uninstaled it.

i think i mispelled it, the software mightve been called quickdesk but i uninstalled it after a few days as i found it caused my phone to lag and reboot. I normally just use widget locker if i really need media controls and ive found it to be a semi usable solution.
I would love it but u can onli have a status switch till now

One big difference is that the Google feed Magisk module doesn't work on this. If you use that a lot, id recommend avoiding this
It's not even available in retail yet. How did you manage to get the icon pack out??
