I have looked in the threads for answers and still can't find the answers I need. I have a tilt 2 with an energy rom and cookie. Don't know which versions. latest i think. My problem is that I can't seem to get the phone to wake up with any button. Tried registry hacks and the option in settings key lock.
I am also having a problem with my media player flipping to the left where I would have to turn the phone upside down to see it correctly when it is actually turned to the side for landscape mode. Any help would be appreciated. Wanted to fix without installing changescreen. Thanks.
Moved as not software release.
Use G-Config to remove reference of Media player.
Thanks. I tried it but, it didn't seem to work. Going to try to wipe the sytem and redo unless someone knows another way to fix the issue. Still can't seem to get the wake without power button to work for me either.
I wiped and it worked fine, something glitched up. Thanks for the help!!

Hey all, just upgraded to thingonasprings rom and im pretty chuffed so far... only a couple of problems, im sure someone will be able to help me as a newbie. Keyboard and phone buttons seem to work fine, but the dpad, backlight, voice dial and camera buttons and volume control all seem dead and the power button doesnt always bring the screen back up, i have to close the lid and re-open.
Is anyone else having this problem? Can anyone confirm them to be working in another rom that is as good as thingonasprings?
ok, i guess no one else has this problem... can anyone recommend a way to capture when a button is pressed and what reference refers to that button? Is there anything in the registry storing a button reference followed by its action. I may not be using the correct terminology.
If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
try to reflash it again... maybe it would help.
Thanks for the reply
I tried reflashing, and even tried changing to a different rom (I am using thingonaspring's rom, but have tried Beasty & Laurentius as well). Im guessing that this is something kinda specific to my device as it seems no-one else has had this problem. I know that the backlight button actually works as I can use it to get into the bootloader, thats why im thinking it must definately be a rom / software issue. Ive been looking for an app I can use to trace a button press, but cant find anything. I really like WM6, but without these buttons / volume slider i may need to swap back to something else... i was running 2003 with wisbar but the performance didnt seem as good as it is now, and i love realvga (I dunno if it is supported on other versions of the OS).
ok, think im getting somewhere - went back to wm5 and all was fine, went to wm6 and they worked until i reset...then nothing... hard reset and they work, until i reset again.... anyone any ideas please?
now sorted changed rom to jwrights and its much better - thanks
Anyone else find this irritating? Each time I'm during a call, the screen goes blank. If I need to use the keypad or switch to speakerphone during a call, i first need to press the home key which turns on the screen, and then use any of the on-screen buttons. Even once the on-screen has been activated, and say I'm using the keypad, after few seconds the screen goes blank again, and I need to do it all over again...
Any way to get around this?
Yea its freaking annoying but i don't know of any solution for this. In the Raphel Tweaks thread many different things have been tried and failed so maybe something will come up soon enough
You can try tweak from Diamond forum - afair there was thread regarding this issue and some fix was provided.

B.
yea i did try it. but it didnt work on the touch pro..
I'd be very interested in a solution for this too. Pretty annoying.
I would just like to bring this thread back to the surface, to see if anyone has had any luck with fixing this yet. Very Annoying bug...
NoSleep!!!.cab worked for me, searchsearchsearch... I think Shinobi made it, sorry if I'm wrong on that.
After a soft-reset, the right button on the scroll wheel is simply not responding at all. I can still press left, up, down, and turn it both ways and it responds normally - but the right button is doing nothing.
I've tried many soft-resets, and I don't see how on earth a hard reset could help this at all, unless it really is some random registry entry that somehow got messed up.
I thought I'd ask here in case anyone knows of some obscure registry issue that could have caused this somehow. Otherwise, I guess I just have to accept the fact that I'll never again be able to use the right scroll wheel button.
Any suggestions or experiences with this? Or, if not, can anyone just tell me where to find this in the registry so I can check it myself?
Thanks, in advance.
I have the very same problem, right button not responds even if i boot android with haret.
Please help!
Should i take apart and clean, or what else?
Thanks!
I have the similar problem, d-pad left button almost dosent work.
I mast push it very hard to make it work.
I think it's a hardware problem.
any idea to fix this problem without changing another d-pad?
Hi,
I have the same problem, too. The right button from d-pad doesn't work. Since the button stopped working, I've tried more than one or two different ROMs. The result is the same.So all that means the problem isnt in the software. I think its hardware malfunction. I use this phone more than 3 years. May be its more than enough yo use it. I think your phones need nothing but repair
I have spent hours searching to see if someone else has had this problem and haven't been able to find anything.
My lower D-pad and its buttons/touch panel have stopped working properly. The touch part of it doesn't work at all and the buttons have reduced functionality. Only the up/down and the home buttons work. From what I can tell this was after flashing Tael's latest Sense2.5 ROM.
I have reset the phone back to standard, using an original HTC Rom, going back to standard SPL, and standard radio. This has not fixed the problem.
The only thing I can find that seems to be related, is when I go into the bootloader there is a line that says "PSOD-wrong platform". I'm guessing that a code somewhere has changed somehow telling the phone that it doesn't have a touchpad, possibly because the phone the ROM was ported from didn't have the touchpad. It might be a longshot but that is my best guess.
I have no idea how else to troubleshoot this and any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Craig
I'm using sprint htc touch pro, using raph800 startup.txt.
When I turn off the android (not "off" but just press power to turn off screen), I can't seem to wake the screen back up, the real buttons (keyboard/volume) seem to work since I can hear them but the screen stays off. I have to soft reset it back into windows to be able to use phone again. I looked on around and found someone suggested changing the pm.sleepmode to something else, and I've tried them all and problem still persists.
Sorry if this isn't good place to post it, it wouldnt let me post in the android section where it's more relevant.
Anyone know of this problem and a fix for it?
edit: well a temp/probably permanent fix was to switch to the new gingerbread, guess this thread can be deleted now
