I'm looking for a lockscreen slide system like the Xperia X10, is this possible for the htc HD2? Can I make sliders myself? Greetz

it locks with a curve instead of a horizontal line by htc. you can find it on the net, xperia x10 lockscreen

well, this is still for the original horizontal slider. So that is not really what I need, but thanks for the input.

No because it's also a pattern-based lockscreen, if you forget the pattern, you maybe in worst case scenario need a hard reset, just looking for maybe this isn't a bad idea organic lock, if it would be background adaptable, but even then, the GFX don't change like it unlocks on the xperia.

Sorry I got no other ideas, unless maybe you dumped the xperia stock rom and then had a look for it and tried to cab it up?

I can bet you cannot do this without a 3rd party app of some kind, as you cannot make the lock behavior a curve with the built in lock function, it is just straight lines ...
EDIT: Also since this is a "question" it really should have been in the Q&A section, as this forum is supposed to be for "releases", as the sticky at the top says ...

It could be an Ultimate Launch setup with custom Icons, but I have no way to know for sure what exactly that is on that device in the picture. Perhaps the person you got the picture from would be better suited to answer this question.

if you look at this (the one circled) is what i exactly i am looking for
you can use ultimate launch, have 1 tab, this one tab will not contain anything but icons, and the size of the whole UL plugin will be as many pixels as you like. you WONT have to show headers so all you will see is what you're looking for.
Ultimate Launch is highly customizable. Just play around with it and you will see. I use it and love it. It will surely be on my device for as long as I have it.\
have you checked out the HTC Home plugin? If not, then maybe that will give you what you are looking for. Also check out HTC Home Customizer (HHC) to make it nicer to your liking

i am now after finding out, how to edit the icons and the short cut of "Sprint HTC Home Plug in", if i could get some help replacing the orig. sprint icons also the short cut, since am not using HTC cube or HTC album, those short cuts are useless, i tried the Ultimate L. which takes lot of main window space.

sorry dont know, but have to say I've never seen that tab before on any other homescreen image.
Take a look at registry key "HKLM/Software/HTC/Manilla/Configuration/x" for each tab. Seems like each tab is listet there, and each one has an entry "Enable" that can be set to "0". Probably soft-reset required afterwards.
Have not tested it yet, but this is the first place I would look =)

Yeah - exactly right, but you don't need to restart. You can just close and then re-open Sense.

I don't know how to do it, but I'd imagine that it's just a manila file in the windows folder. Just a case of knowing which one. Create a thread for it - someone who makes themes would probably be able to tell you that, or ask here...

What are you looking for? I think the graphics are located in the Launcher2.apk somewhere I don't know if the framework and all that stuff is there, but I believe it should be.

layout folder? which files are related to the lock screen do you know? I am not interested in the images I just need to figured how to reposition the buttons. Make a different layout i guess.

Ahh i found it. The lockscreen.java is odexed in android.policy.jar which resides in the system/framework folder. I feel dumb now for creating the thread now.
Ok so ive spend the whole afternoon trying to figure out all the code in the lockscreen.smali and I have to admit im lost.
What im trying to do here is to fix the wack stock lock screen on the sense ui when you delete the htc lock screen. I wont give up until I get it or someone else working. I just need to know where to look for positioning code of the unlock and mute buttons.
Coming from The HTC Hero cdma. Flipz got it working for us, maybe the fix works for you guys also?

You are my hero. It workssssssss. I think im going to poop myself. lol I can believe its working. It's funny because I've been trying to figure out where the bug is in the lockscreen.smali for the last 2 days and finally tonight I gave up on it. And now you came to the rescue. thanks

Widget Locker is the best lock screen ever..

You can add up to 10 shortcut keys on the unlock screen. So, top left corner is camera, top right camera is LED flashlight, left middle is notes, right middle is google voice, bottom left is unlock andd buttom right is to silence it.
Oh and you can add widgets on the screen so i added a calendar widget.
I love this app and its really worth the money, being able to access some of these apps right from the screen is real convinient, especially the camera and flash light.
The only issue i've run into is that if you turn it on and off real quick, it will show the stock slide to ulock screen, and sometimes it will go back to the original slide to unlock screen, at this point you would just click on widget locker again to start it up.
Overall great app!
Better yet I'll post a video to give you an idea

Also, it is a known issue that this app will not work along side NoLed.

Also, if you notice in the vid, when I turn it on from sleep mode, it shows the stock slider, thats because turn it off and on within 3-5 seconds, it will show the stock slider.

It's a must have app... I made a video about it a while ago. I like my lockscreen with my calendar events and music. Also, if your rooted go to advance and set it to rooted device.

Widgetlocker is like quickdesk not like extended controls. You can customize your lock screen with widgets, shortcuts, toggles, apps, weather, etc..etc..

I had the issue when I was using CM7 nightly ROm with Netarchy 1.2.2 kernel. But I was also having other issues such as the lockscreen spontaneously coming on and off. The lockscreen on/off was happening even when i disabled widget locker . so I dont think it was the app.
Since I flashed another kernel, it seems to have resolved.

The lock slider shouldnt be a problem. If you work with the Manila slider that can easily be taken care of. The Clock would be very simple to get ready too, because there are so many digital clocks out here that you might just need to change the font.
If I am not wrong, BeO had a weather widget like that, so that would be covered too.
The notification icons could be tricky, but you could just make the text part a part of your wallpaper and then you would have everything

You are correct you would need to edit the manila lockscreen from CHT. That would be 2 simple manila files and then you have the lock.
For the clock I would recommend you take a look into BeOs thread or ask poyensa for help, because if you cant find a clock that exactly looks like that, you or whoever you can find needs to mod the mode9 files of the typoclock. That however isnt thaaat hard either. The same goes for the weather widget and then you are ready to go

the notifications being text like that looks like the hardest and not done as of yet. as far as that weather I have seen MrBeO post a screenshot like that or very similiar. may have been a mock i dont know. shoot him a pm or post in his thread hes good about getting back to people.
that clock would be cool if it had SimClock capabilities ie; the links,comm stuffs, background etc.
definately looks good and interesting.
EDIT: I switched permanently to Android !! seems like wont be working on this !! Sorry....
