This is an adaptation to the original MT3G style rosie remap, where, instead of the right button opening your contacts, it instead opens the camera. I did this because there were numerous requests for this same functionality. I started a separate thread, so as to not have this mod buried in the original.
This is based off of Fresh 2.1.2 Espresso, and the MetaMorph(s) below adjust the stock espresso graphics to accommodate this mod, alter the button icons, inject the camera icon I made for this purpose, etc.
For photo aficionados (those who take lots of photos), this makes the camera functionality readily accessible, while freeing up additional space on your home screen for other commonly used applications.

This is just what the doc ordered. I have always wanted my cam linked to this button (that original + was stupid because it is redundant.....just as easy to long press the screen to add content). Though I would prefer the phone button in the middle, this is one of my favorite mods yet. Great work JsChiSurf!

Thanks. I was definitely thinking it would be nice to provide different alternatives for the left/right buttons, there's just so many possibilities. But, I think it "should" be relatively easy to have the left/right buttons point to other built-in system type apps, like, mms, browser, mail, etc. We've already got contacts via the original mod.
Where do I download JUST the clear HTC Clock/Weather widget? I have been wondering about that but have never been given a straight link

Unfortunately, it would be VERY difficult to add more functionality to the Rosie (greater than the current 3), without major re-writes to both the XML and smali code.
I kind figured it will be a major project to rewrite everything.

I have to pick a ROM and stick with it. The time invested in doing mods just for Sprint based ROMs is consuming enough, unfortunately.

Same here. I always access contacts, if necessary, by first pressing the phone icon anyway. I use the camera enough that I had it on the home screen, so now, I can remove the icon from the home screen (since it's now in the espresso bar) in favor of another commonly used app.
For me the XDA app got promoted to my home screen .

At this point, whatever ROM I am using will get this theme ported to it. The biggest update to the theme is the widgets, pictured below.

The popup in the browser will be black with black text

There seems to be a character limit on the mail widget. Now that it is larger, I am trying to figure out how to show more text
Modify the Messaging widget
Modify my master widget (power control / weather / scoreboard / genie) to match this format
I'm not even using all the widgets that I modified, but figured some people might. If you want me to look at additional widgets that will match this format, I'd be willing to entertain any requests

ORRR can you just point me in the direction of ANY metamorph themes that will work on darchdroid or any other hero cdma rom i dont care I just want to be able to theme my freakin phone! thank you!!!

I'm too busy right now to port it and unfortunately, the theme runs deeper than just png's. I just posted a completed update.zip for ZenEXP 0.9.6OC. All you would have to do is flash 0.9.6OC then flash my update.zip over it. Very easy.

As for Metamorph, I was carrying MM for all my themes, but have stopped because I prefer pushing. Check out the Miscellaneous Themes link in my sig for those.
It has been referenced that there are alternative home launchers (ADW) that enable you to remove the text underneath the icons on your home screens. The question was posed as to whether or not the same could be done with our stock Rosie, and via a few strategic edits, it can.
Attached is a MetaMorph that you can use to apply to your existing Rosie.apk, that will remove the text from the icons on the homescreen, while retaining any previous edits done to your Rosie launcher. It does not currently recoup the space that the text previously occupied, however, it does allow for a "cleaner" look.

The Launchers (Helix, ADW, LauncherPro) don't do it on the Widgets either. If it can be done though I'm sure JsChiSurf can do it. /endofasskissing

In trying to figure out the mod posted, I actually accidentally did exactly what you are asking, but didn't think there would be much use for it, since there are a lot more apps in the drawer, and it may be difficult remembering what they are without the text.
i would also like it with out txt in the app drawer. But I'm using Darchdroid with AWD Launcher. Will it work?

The wallpaper I use is a slightly tweaked version of the original posted by Konikub so credit goes to him for the original, I just tweaked the center color to my liking.

Okay, the first post has been modified to include another MetaMorph for removing the text from the app drawer icons. It is separate / independent of the home screen mod. I personally think it is a little confusing / difficult to easily figure out what is what, but to each his own!

This looks great. I would love to use it but I don't know much about Metamorph. I have read some of the links that explains what it is,how to use it, and You-tube links where the creators explain stuff and still feel unsure as what to do exactly. My brain really doesn't work well reading stuff, I am more the kind that has to watch and see somebody do it to really get it.
Is there an idiot guide for metamorphing out there? Or somebody willing to walk me through it? The good thing is that when I learn it I don't have to ask again...

Being an end user of MM, it is really as simple as downloading the free app from the market, dropping the download link in the OP onto your SD card (in the AndroidThemes folder preferably), and applying with the MM application.

I've applied two of your mods successfully (I'm a big fan). I have been using your "Vanilla Lockscreen WITHOUT Sprint/Time/Date text" and your "Remove 'End Call' Soft Key While Call is in Progress & Vibrate on Connect" for a while.
However, yesturday I applied 3 more of your mods: the "Remove Battery & Clock from Taskbar", the "Remove Text From Home Screen (Rosie)" and your "Android 2.0 Style Vanilla Rotary Lockscreen Clear Version" and I'm now having problems.
8-10 times today without warning, my phone completely shuts down. I go to check my phone or make a call, and as I attempt to clear the lock screen to get to home I find the whole dang phone has turned itself off. I attempt press the 'on' button -- doesn't work, requiring me to pull the battery to reboot (which then works fine). Big problem, as I have missed several work calls. I even put the phone on the charger, and returned later to find it had shut off. Battery temp and life are completely fine.
I ask, not to offend you, but only to ask if you have heard of this happening with any of your mods? I have nandroid'ed back to pre-mod and I am still having this happen. I had no problems prior to the 3 new mods yesturday. Do you maybe have any suggestions?
All the mods were applied successfully and I was very, very happy with their appearance and your awesome work. Could any of these mods maybe be incompatible with each other? Incompatible with Flips 2.1 version 1 ROM?

This has been known to work very well on ZenEXP 0.9.7d. For the deodexed version only. What you can expect from this update.zip (If you have Analog Clock or Fancy Widgets installed, make sure you uninstall prior to applying this update.zip):
This will not change the workspace cell size. I wanted to make this update more universal and if I change the cell sizes, it screws up other widgets. If you want to do it yourself, refer to my tutorial regarding this at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=697994)

Yeah, sorry. 0.9.6 is running so good for me right now, plus I couldn't resolve a couple odex files. Please let me know the results as I need a working phone for a couple weeks, otherwise I'd test it myself.

edit...nevermind im a retard it says it will screw with widgets, my bad. Really love this theme though. It reminds me of my favorite windows theme for winowblinds.

That Windowblind theme is awesome. I'll post a quick tutorial on how to change the size of non-HTC widgets. It's actually pretty easy too.
I wish I could apply it like the slide themes, but it runs too deep.

It's the Google Genie Widget. The one that let's you select News / Weather / or News & Weather together.

Hmm, well, definitely have to apply to deodexed only. Is this after a fresh ROM install? Anyone else having issues? Can you send me a logcat?

Any chance of getting this in a MM? I really do not want to apply this and erase my current theme.
I noticed that when pushing the phone button it doesn't light up green like the add widgets button does. Also, would it be possible to make it so the whole button turns green like in the espresso button?
thanks for your hard work this exactly what I've been looking for as far as the Rosie is concerned. It kills me not to use this I can't give up my manUp rEVOlution them. I had my fingers crossed hoping I could flash this on top of that because the combination would be killer. Sadly it doesn't mix well any chance you can make this compatible with that theme?????

This post is probably useless, but I just thought I'd let everyone know that this does indeed work with the latest Froyo leak (possibly the official OTA). As always, make sure you backup before installing.

I would be surprised to see if some rom cookers didn't start asking to use this one.
only bug i've seen has already been mentioned, the phone button doesn't light up green like the others.

Would web browser go to the built in one or one that is set as default... for example if we install dolphinHD and set it as default, would it load that? (or perhaps just have an addition for dolphinHD if not).
besides that, the list looks good to me.
I would say the browser would be the best. Thanks for the rosie mod. The dock was the only thing I didn't really like in sense ui.

Trying to apply smooth green circle battery would overwrite this mod b.c. the sense images are in the framework am I right? If so OP could you add a battery with percentages to the modded framework?
So I have started to work on my draft theme lol if you can call it that (mostly just a few icons themed mostly Miui based). Being a noob to this big world of themeing, this is actually taking me some time. I'm a sucker for Transparency so I started by doing some icons to give my Lockscreen matching icons and it just kept going. This has a Transparent Notification bar with themed quick settings icons, other than that its pretty much stock minus few icons here n there. So if anyone wants to try it out, give suggestions, tips I'd appreciate it.
Just flash in recovery (as always make sure you have a nand backup and wipe caches).

*Bugs: Not sure if its a bug to my themeing but If background data is turned off, going into calendar day view will crash the Launcher with a "The Application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly" and restarts itself. It doesnt restart the phone just restarts launcher.
Turning on background data and Syncing weather will fix.
Alternatively... Settings -> Applications -> Manage application -> under ALL tab, clear data for HTC weather sync provider and Weather Provider.

Ya im trying to find a white google music icon, My other google icons are laughing at it lol. Stupid work pc no photoshop!
If you need any help with some graphics let me know. I am no photoshop master, but I do ok. And I have some nice 3D modeling programs too.
So how do ppl feel about themed icon apps? I started swapping out icons to get my app drawer and recent apps icons switched out. I just tried my hands on google music since I count find any. I guess I should look up rules for app icons.

It is fine to change the app icon. The only problem you run into is when there is an update to an app, you have to manually change the icon again. Also, you would only be able to do this for free apps (if you were posting the apps with custom icons). For paid apps, you will have to post the icon and let tell people how to change them on their own. You could dedicate a post for showcasing icons though, with a set of instructions.
Example:
1. Right click on the appropriate icon and save the image to your computer.
:icon: :icon: :icon: :icon: :icon:
2. Transfer the .apk to your computer.
3. Open (DO NOT EXTRACT) apk with any archiving program (winzip, winRAR, 7zip, etc.)
4. Open res/drawable folder
5. Replace 'icon.png' with your icon named 'icon.png' (72x72 or 96x96)
6. Close the archive program
7. (You may need to resign the app) Auto-sign is a simple way to do this.
8. Transfer the .apk back to your phone and re-install.
That is one way, there are several. I like to do it on my computer. Also, APK Edit will easily allow you to change the icon, when the program opens, just click the icon and browse to the file you want to use to replace it. It will name it appropriately and resign the app in one step.

Thanks for the tips, for program apks Ive been using Apk Manager but maybe ill try out APK edit. Ive done a white icon Xda app for myself and working on google music now.
