Note:
Those of you familiar with my smooth theme will not see much of a difference from the last one I did for ZenEXP 0.9.4. This is a complete port of my theme to the latest Zen ROM. At this point, whatever ROM I am using will get this theme ported to it. The biggest update to the theme is the widgets, pictured below.

The other widgets that use the HTC ActionBar (the two or three buttons that hang off of the mail widget, etc.) will have clear backgrounds. There was no way I could figure out how to separate the mail widget from com.htc.resources
Landscape works for all widgets, but on some of them, the header text is distorted or not centered
I can't figure our how to remove the background from the bookmark list widget
The popup in the browser will be black with black text
Still to do:
There seems to be a character limit on the mail widget. Now that it is larger, I am trying to figure out how to show more text
Modify the Messaging widget
Modify my master widget (power control / weather / scoreboard / genie) to match this format
I'm not even using all the widgets that I modified, but figured some people might. If you want me to look at additional widgets that will match this format, I'd be willing to entertain any requests
Continue to modify the mail widget in landscape
I'd still like to figure out the people widget
I will also be making a mail widget that looks like TF3d
Note:
The clock shown in the screenshots is Beautiful Widgets. This theme will not affect the stock HTC flipclock. (I'll always use BW because it updates the time behind a clear lockscreen). Also, the clear lockscreen mod is not included because it breaks the theme apk. Once someone comes out with a clear lockscreen for ZenEXP, I'll add it back in. Also, this will overwrite the stock theme (Nest) and can't be applied through the built-in theme app.
The Friendstream, News, Calendar and Bookmark widgets may work on other ROMS, I haven't tested. I tried to make them independent of the com.htc.resources apk. As mentioned above, the mail widget depends on the com.htc.resources apk so it will look different on other ROMS but may still work.

care to share your wallpaper? The transparency is not woking for me on most of mine, unless I use a plain background. The bit of NRGZ blue looks good on that leather.

ORRR can you just point me in the direction of ANY metamorph themes that will work on darchdroid or any other hero cdma rom i dont care I just want to be able to theme my freakin phone! thank you!!!

I'm too busy right now to port it and unfortunately, the theme runs deeper than just png's. I just posted a completed update.zip for ZenEXP 0.9.6OC. All you would have to do is flash 0.9.6OC then flash my update.zip over it. Very easy.

This has been known to work very well on ZenEXP 0.9.7d. For the deodexed version only. What you can expect from this update.zip (If you have Analog Clock or Fancy Widgets installed, make sure you uninstall prior to applying this update.zip):
This will not change the workspace cell size. I wanted to make this update more universal and if I change the cell sizes, it screws up other widgets. If you want to do it yourself, refer to my tutorial regarding this at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=697994)

Yeah, sorry. 0.9.6 is running so good for me right now, plus I couldn't resolve a couple odex files. Please let me know the results as I need a working phone for a couple weeks, otherwise I'd test it myself.

very similar to signals theme. but also different in their own ways nice work signal! I just wish I could use this theme along side the other expresso themes for Zen like it was another one of them. But oh well .

That Windowblind theme is awesome. I'll post a quick tutorial on how to change the size of non-HTC widgets. It's actually pretty easy too.
I wish I could apply it like the slide themes, but it runs too deep.

It's the Google Genie Widget. The one that let's you select News / Weather / or News & Weather together.

I did not make this MM for skyraider i just pulled it from post 2 from ihtfp69 thread he made
NOTE: These are MM themes that can be used in conjunction with the button mappings. They are not exclusive of each other. Thanks to deficitism (brucekey) for help with this mod.

I don't mind the MM theme at all. I've been recovering after a knee surgery and getting back to the swing of working again. I realize I haven't updated things in a while, but I am working on something big!

Tried installing this theme on top of the incredible revolution theme for virtuous and android system kept force closing, should I just install this on virtuous by itself? I like the look of this theme more than the one for virtuous...

I'm a big fan of the black/red color combo on this phone, so I'm loving it so far, but I've got a few questions:
FIrst of all, my fonts don't look like the ones in the screenshot. Should they, or is this a separate mod? I want that thin and sexy font!
Highlights ("pressed state" for buttons or clickable items) are red everywhere except for the following:
The rosie bar: the "pressed" state of any of the 3 buttons is green, not red
Apps in the app drawer
The stock gallery album list--pressed state when selecting an album is green
The recent apps section of the pulldown bar
There may very well be other places, but I haven't explored much further than this since installing this theme

You can find the font (as well as some great looking widgets, backgrounds, and other things) in the original thread for the theme here.
I originally had another package to install the apps from the /system/app/ directory of SoCalMiles's installer, but I removed it because Skyraider 3.3 has updated versions of the apps. If you want to install them you can find it here, it may fix the remaining green in the apps. Install it through recovery or rom manager.
You can get the lockscreen by renaming HtcLockscreen.apk to Htclockscreen.apk.bak, or simply removing it altogether. You can find it in /system/app/

I need some serious help! I cannot edit com.htc.resources.api at all, I've tried pushing it thru adv, I've tried metamorph, I've tried everything! Does anyone hav a solution to this? Whenever I do edit the apk, my phone restarts and turns on halfway, then stops at random moments on the boot animation. :IAmAboutToKillMyPhone:

Ok guys... after a couple of requests made for me to make my theme as a stand alone version here it is.
This theme touches every tiny little detail all over Htc Sense and almost all apps that come stock with our device.
It is also updated with all the current mods available and will keep getting updates as i update my rom all the time also.
Please note that the Second (White widgets theme and mods) and Third (mostly general mods) posts are also full with goods.
As usual... all packages have been zipaligned and all images/apks have been optimized using PNGOUT and Optipng for maximum optimizations and includes all of my personal tweaks and animations.
This theme should work on ALL Htc sense rom based as i kept the original Htc signatures on all apks.

there will be a lot more things coming up later on... i just gotta finish my finals and ill finish up a lot more things i wanted to do for a long time.
for my white widgets i started to take apart the htc resources apk and insert the files into the each apk with proper changes to all the xmls so that the apps will become more self dependent...
that will basically give us the option to theme each and every htc app any way we want instead of being depended on the htc resources file.
if i had the knowledge of how to mess with a few more things inside the smali code i could even end up making htc widgets run on launcher pro or adw launcher... but at this point i dont know how to do it yet, and im not sure if and when i will.
so far just moving all the images and xmls files from the the htc resources into the apks is proving to be a really long process, but really worth it.

not really sure what u mean by that... but everything is themed... 99% my work.
i didnt get a chance to make all the actual apps white yet, but 100% of all htc sense widgets are white... the rest is like my black theme.

if u look at the first post u can kinda get a feel of how all the apps are skinned by looking at the market screen shot, the calendar screen shot and the dialogs/menus screenshots.

i didnt really edit it... just made sig's match up so it would work.
i made more than just a few changes to make this white widgets work though... so i dont think ill be trying to make them work with other existing themes...
i really won't mind if someone else would do it though.
i know some of u guys obviously come from different roms...
so here are a few different transition animations that will work on both the white and the black theme so u can have the transitions animations that u like to match the theme.
simply flash the chosen zip.
have fun.
here is myn's rosie with his rosie settings app for the 4x5 white widgets theme... just in case u guys would prefer the app drawer in the middle and pick your right/left key apps.

like i said before... the 4x4 layouts will come later cuz i dont have much time right now to redo all the smali and xml's in the white widgets back to the 4x4 layouts... its about 10-15 apk's to decompile/recompile and compare cuz i made huge changes in the widgets.
btw... i know i didn't skin all the possible htc widgets that are available for d/l... so if any of u guys actually use any of them... feel free to make a request, ill skin it also.
also, keep in mind that im uploading a lot of zips here... so if u run into any issues let me know cuz i didnt test all of them, just their content.
Awesome theme! Love it, transition animations are great. I really like the drop down screen date animation. Well done, simple, in my opinion one of the best Sense themes!

i went over all the animations files cuz i was working on some original one of my own... and i did dig inside to change a crap load of xmls all over the framework files and packages... i did not see anything that would make this possible on a 2.2 or 2.2.1 android system... just cuz i didnt see any reference to a "screen off" animation.
of course i could be wrong on that... but im 99% sure that on a sense rom... its not possible unless somehow some one will figure out how to add that into the framework cuz i dont see it in there.
for example... the powerwidget mod needed extra functions and xmls to work... it seems that this animation would need to be added in to work also... i can promise u that if u can get a rom that has that animation working on it... ill probably be able to add in though.
Some people have seen it in Myn's thread, some haven't. This is a reskin of Sense to look like the Gingerbread Launcher. It comes in 3 parts: Gingerbread Battery, Gingerbread Launcher reskin, and Gingerbread Keyboard. I kept them separate because some people only want this or that.
The issue with using LauncherPro or ADW.Launcher is that we can't have our Sense widgets. On top of that, we lose Myn's new transitions and the transparent app drawer. This solves the issue The keyboard and Gingerbread launcher will work on ALL Sense-based ROMs. The battery mod is built on top of Myn's framework-res.apk so I doubt that'll work with other ROMs.

To activate the Gingerbread keyboard, just go to a text box and hold your finger down. Hit "Input Method" and choose "Android Keyboard". It supports
multi-touch.
If you're using a different Sense Rom and you decide to flash the Gingerbread Launcher, your phone and browser button might not work. To fix this, I've included "Rosie Settings" from Myn's ROM, which lets you assign apps to the left and right button.
The time and battery widgets do not come with this mod! You need to get them from the Market. They're called Battstat and Tajm

Yup. I grabbed the whole 2.3 ROM (which btw is definitely just proof-of-concept and not for everyday use), so I have access to all the images. This is just a little preview of what's to come
Dumb Question - So I have a stock Warm RLS4, if i flash the launcher zip it will replace the default warm rls 4 launcher skin?
If you just want the launcher, only flash the launcher. It won't touch anything else.

thanks man great idea, i edit were the background on drawer icons are in the homescreen to match notification bar with Myns, now it looks nice and clean.
is there a way u can work around doing this wit the 4X5 Layout mod framework for the rosie, thats the only thing im kind of missing.

Can the launcher be modified so that the icons that are there are not just the phone and internet icons? Personally, I prefer having the text message as the right icon of the launcher and I usually leave the left icon as the phone/dialer. If this could be implemented, it would be greatly appreciated. BTW, great work on this theme.................

Yup. The purpose is to make it look more and more like Gingerbread, so I'll be porting over more stuff from the 2.3 SDK. The good news about these mods is that they'll continue to work in future Warm releases as well and they also work with any Sense-based ROM (aside from the titlebar mod).

Awesome! Thanks a lot, wish I could do stuff like this to help out, I'm currently trying to make the gingerbread theme work with sense, but I don't know much. I'll just flash these for now, while I work on my project that really isn't going anywhere so far. I'll be flashing these mods ASAP though!

So I have started to work on my draft theme lol if you can call it that (mostly just a few icons themed mostly Miui based). Being a noob to this big world of themeing, this is actually taking me some time. I'm a sucker for Transparency so I started by doing some icons to give my Lockscreen matching icons and it just kept going. This has a Transparent Notification bar with themed quick settings icons, other than that its pretty much stock minus few icons here n there. So if anyone wants to try it out, give suggestions, tips I'd appreciate it.
Just flash in recovery (as always make sure you have a nand backup and wipe caches).

*Bugs: Not sure if its a bug to my themeing but If background data is turned off, going into calendar day view will crash the Launcher with a "The Application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly" and restarts itself. It doesnt restart the phone just restarts launcher.
Turning on background data and Syncing weather will fix.
Alternatively... Settings -> Applications -> Manage application -> under ALL tab, clear data for HTC weather sync provider and Weather Provider.

Ya im trying to find a white google music icon, My other google icons are laughing at it lol. Stupid work pc no photoshop!
If you need any help with some graphics let me know. I am no photoshop master, but I do ok. And I have some nice 3D modeling programs too.
So how do ppl feel about themed icon apps? I started swapping out icons to get my app drawer and recent apps icons switched out. I just tried my hands on google music since I count find any. I guess I should look up rules for app icons.

It is fine to change the app icon. The only problem you run into is when there is an update to an app, you have to manually change the icon again. Also, you would only be able to do this for free apps (if you were posting the apps with custom icons). For paid apps, you will have to post the icon and let tell people how to change them on their own. You could dedicate a post for showcasing icons though, with a set of instructions.
Example:
1. Right click on the appropriate icon and save the image to your computer.
:icon: :icon: :icon: :icon: :icon:
2. Transfer the .apk to your computer.
3. Open (DO NOT EXTRACT) apk with any archiving program (winzip, winRAR, 7zip, etc.)
4. Open res/drawable folder
5. Replace 'icon.png' with your icon named 'icon.png' (72x72 or 96x96)
6. Close the archive program
7. (You may need to resign the app) Auto-sign is a simple way to do this.
8. Transfer the .apk back to your phone and re-install.
That is one way, there are several. I like to do it on my computer. Also, APK Edit will easily allow you to change the icon, when the program opens, just click the icon and browse to the file you want to use to replace it. It will name it appropriately and resign the app in one step.

Thanks for the tips, for program apks Ive been using Apk Manager but maybe ill try out APK edit. Ive done a white icon Xda app for myself and working on google music now.
