Namco's PacMan gone! - Nexus One Themes and Apps

Hi all,
I have a Nexus one that im using on O2 UK, was previously on EPF21b.
I unlocked bootloader and rooted and upgraded to FRF50.
All my apps have come back since I re-setup after upgrade, but Namco's Pac-Man is gone. Nor is it in the Android market place.
Does anyone have a recommendation of how I can get that back on?
Do I go back to EPF21b and download pacman, back up the app then re-apply FRF50, then restore pacman?
Suggestions please? Thanks!

I try this game and i love it

Yes it is. Change your build.prop back to a 2.1 fingerprint.

Many thanks to both of you! That worked a treat. Thanks
And doing that seems to have removed that stupid DRM protection that Namco put on. Excellent!

Correction, the DRM is still present. Gay!

Hey guys,
my InFuse just told me it has an update available. I postponed it right now.
Mine is rooted and unlocked.
Is is possible to safely do the update?
Thanks for your input.

There is a whole 4 pages dedicated to this in the general forum... Look there...
Just found it ... I am truely sorry! My fault!
it will most likely not work. it has to be stock
Does anyone know where the update is stored on the phone, I wanted to pull it and look over it and maybe attach it to a ROM. Also does anyone know what it does?

Update does not work for custom roms, i did it on infused 1.1.4, no dice
It checked for att's bloatware....if you've deleted it or frozen it, the update will fail...
Sent from my Samsung Infuse 4G
Yeah im having problems with mine, but now its saying im up to date but the version posted in the other thread doesnt match. Going to reset and update tomorrow then redo it all
It worked fine for my stock rooted phone with bloatware and tethering manager completely deleted. Now running FROYO.UCKE3.
Same here... it updated successfully on my stock rooted Infuse with the bloatware all deleted. I am still looking forward to ROM development with the new baseband(radio) though.

[Q] Inspire 4G, Stock Rooted ROMs and Updates...

Hi guys... I put the Bubby's Stock ROM on my Inspire 4G right After I bought my phone a few month ago and then I ve lost track of everything... now what I would like to understand is what updates are currently available if I go back to stock???
I've heard about sideloading enabled by ATT and HUSPA enabled by HTC.. is this true?
So my question is if i go back to RUU stock will I get all this stuff and if yes can I download SuperUser and all that cool root stuff and just remove the bloat myself but keeping the updates from ATT???

Or you can keep your rooted phone that already has sideloading enabled, flash the stock rooted rom that has the other radio-related updates included, available in the dev section, and save yourself the unnecessary trouble.... All those updates are available here without having to get them via ATT/htc.
Look for the ace Cingular rom by Attn1 in the dev section.

There is no need to do that. Just flash the latest from here and you will remain rooted. It's the latest firmware and radio from AT&T. Make sure you choose the one that has sideloading enabled.

This rom does a full wipe. You will lose everything that is on the phone. Sd card contents are safe. Contacts are most likely backed up to the HTC Sense server, but I would export them to the sd card anyways. Unless you have them in Google, then you should be good. Apps will need to be reinstalled.

[Q] Going from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 worth it?

I have used the German rom to upgrade to 4.1.1 thanks to the wonderful step by step instructions here. Are the improvements worth going to 4.1.2? So far the only program I have found not working is Nook reader.
Thanks,
I'm debating the same thing. I'm doing it to get rid of keyboard lag and allow you to switch to multi view within apps. Hopefully I don't brick my device. People are keeping quiet about it for some reason.

I've been using redemption rom on the 8013. I will never go back! You can use the multiwindow mod to make almost anything multiwindow, snote is almost usable in 4.1.2, and the rom comes with inverted gapps
Well I just took the jump to 4.1.2. I think it's worth it for sure. The only special thing you have to do is keep it in airplane mode, but its nbd. I have an 8013.

its just reversed colors. black background with light writing. easy on the eyes and battery
Redemption ROM has options when you install to disable carrier networks so you dont have to worry about airplane mode too
Updated to 4.1.2 and got better support for the S-Pen.
hey, i'm runnung redemption rom v.3.1 on my n8010, i selected all inverted ggaps in aroma installer but only the gmail app is inverted, on first load play store was inverted but after reboot it is just normal play store. i have tried re-installing rom twice (once to disable phone features) but it's still only gmail. anyone got any idea's how to fix this?

Airplane mode?
Yeah. Airplane mode. Like on a phone. Basically that just keeps the phone from searching for a wireless signal. You can still have wifi on working though! If anyone else has any questions let me know.

I upgraded to 4.1.2. Just like you said after the update I put it in Airplane mode which turned the WIFI off. I turned the WIFI back on and good to go. I was able to install the Nook reader in 4.1.2 but not in 4.1.1.

It was easy actually. I noticed the most improvement going from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1. There are some differences in 4.2. I am enjoying it. Thanks to all the guys here to give great instructions and take the time to test.
I just did the German 4.1.1 JB update last week. My Note is not rooted. I'd like to do the multiwindow thing with my apps, but see that I need 4.1.2. Is there an updated file I can use, or do I need to use a custom ROM to get this? I don't really want to do that.

You do not need to root, my 8013 is not rooted. I used Odin to update following the instructions found on this site.
Cool, thanks! Which instructions? The same ones I used to update to 4.1.1? If so, what steps need to be repeated with this file? If you're talking about different instructions, I can't find them. I just keep finding threads with people saying they updated to 4.1.2, but nothing about how they did it.
Yes, you do it the exact same way that you flashed 4.1.1

Yes how to upgrade to 4.1.1 and not root. I believe the instructions are in this General Q&A section. Followed them exactly. Read the preceding posts about the airplane mode.
Thanks, folks! I'll give it a try. Looking forward to getting more apps in multiwindow, especially Dolphin.
Can anybody give opinions in more differences between 4.1.1 and 4.1.2? Is it worth my time to backup and flash this from 4.1.1? What would the benefits be? I'm on a P3113 WiFi US version and have already spent a good amount of time customizing my stock ROM by backing up and removing bloat.

[Q] Root or wait?

Hy people...
I'm finnaly got the JB in my phone... It was hard and complicated to get it... and that's why I'm resisting to get the ICS back to keep the root in JB.
Now the question: Do you think that someone will figure out how to root the JB without going back to ICS? or it is impossible?
Thanks a lot!
Maybe. I couldn't wait so I did return to ics to root properly. Softbricked my phone but managed to fix it. No regrets!

yeah... I get 4.0 back... rooted... installed ota rootkeeper... and get 4.1... then... it fails...
what to do?? the Su file is there... but I don't know what it means...
I think you need to unroot with ota root keeper before upgrading. Keep a backup!

unlock bootloader that best way , I just done it and got the CM10 installed which is much nicer and faster.

You can try resetting your phone to factory settings and then download and install the OTA from the configurations menu.
Keep in mind that resetting the phone to factory settings removes su, so keep a backup, unroot the phone and then reset the configurations.
Maybe you'll have to root again using the utility after doing the factory reset.
I, too, had to try many times before nailing it.

Just out of curiosity, what is worth it? I just got the phone, and I've rooted every other phone I've had. So far, this seems like the first one I don't need to root. I'm on shared data, which means I get wifi hotspot for free. I don't need titanium backup this time. The JB Moto UI seems light-weight, fast, and the battery lasts forever, so a custom ROM doesn't seem necessary. I'm not trying to be a smart alec, just honestly curious as to what rooting can do for me?

For you there is probably little benefit, though it's always good to keep titanium backups, and it's great for freezing problem apps you never use and don't want to remove. I also use Nova launcher and several other apps that require root for full functionality.

Received a TF300 looking to Flash a ROM

Hey guys, I just recently received a TF300 from a friend, and I was wondering what kind of rom I can install on this?
I have PA3.99 on my Nexus 4 and that's why I do have some knowledge of this, hoping to inject some life into this tablet.
It looks like this has the current latest firmware from ASUS and running 4.2.1.
Is there a proven ROM for this tablet that is stable? Also is this Tablet capable of running any 4.3 or Kitkat Roms?
Thanks for your help guys. Appreciate it.
Hello! Welcome. Wow, 3.99 is kinda old huh? Anyway. Yes this tablet is capable of running KitKat. I have my tablet on Pacman and its running really well. In order to install pacman, you'll need to unlock the boot loader and flash twrp version x.7 or greater. I can't remember what the x was. But it needs to be one of the newer twrps or you can't flash kk.
I think kk pacman is pretty stable on the nightlies.

wow, great thanks for quick response!
Glad to know I can flash this tablet...thought I'd be stuck with 4.2.
I did some quick reading and I have to match my SKU to something for the latest bootloader?
btw, yea, 3.99 is kind of old..but everytime I think of upgrading..the thought of reinstalling all the apps and stuff just deters me. Do you have an N4? What do you run on it?

Well if you're on 4.2 you won't need to flash the SKU. You're already on the latest boot loader. Well that makes sense. I actually have a Note 3 but whenever I change Roms I use nandroid manager to backup and restore all of my data.
