Since Google announced that they will no longer be selling the Nexus through their webstore, will we be able to get accessories (Desk Dock, Car Dock) through retail locations?
I wan the desk dock, but I live in Canada....
So after shipping and DHL fees it's going to be $100. But, if Best Buy will eventually be selling this stuff, well that would be awesome!
Has anyone heard anything?

I've been looking for the USB adapter for the bottom of my transformer for the longest time now (don't want the dock). I remember TigerDirect had it in stock a couple of months ago and i'm kicking my self for not getting it then.
Anybody know any stores/websites in canada that have it in stock? I don't mind paying shipping within canada but shipping outside of canada can get expensive.
Thanks
i bought it from here :
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/812009-REG/ASUS_90_OK06CR00010_USB_Kit_for_TF101.html
around 25$ with taxes under (12$ usb dongle, 12$ shipping with duty/tax...) 3/4 days in your box (for me, quebec/qc)
Unfortunately they`re out of stock:-(
Hi all
I'm from Ireland and I'm going to be in the US in september and I'm hoping to buy a note 10.1 as it's much cheaper there than it is in Ireland (in the order of $150 cheaper).
What is the best brick and mortar store?
Best buy seems to be the only place I can find that (on the net atleast) would have in stock, also is there anything I'm not thinking about? taxes or the charges which may affect me I'm going to california by the way.
Office Max is a good brick n mortar store, that sells the G-Note 10.1 All you have to pay extra is California's state sales tax.

I bought mine from newegg.com for $499 with free shipping (ups 3days) and without tax
while I was in a hotel in Texas for a business trip.
But I think you'll end up paying tax in California if you order from newegg.
Goto www.nowinstock.net and check out other online stores as well.
Good luck.
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm now thinking to avoid sales tax(and wasting my time finding stores) to buy the note 10.1 and Tab2 7.0(for my gf) on Amazon and have it shipped to my gf dad who lives in cali

I may be mistaking something, but how are you avoiding tax by purchasing online? Does it depend on the state you ship it to? I live in Canada, so I'm not used to this tax exemption concept.
well my understanding(recent research from google) is that most states have sales tax which is charged on top of the price of good at point of sale. I'm not exactly sure how online retailers avoid having to pay sales tax but I believe it has to do with selling good from outside the state where the customer is.
In the US, you usually don't pay sales tax online UNLESS the store has a physical presence in your state. That has it's exceptions though, like Amazon, here in CA you currently don't pay tax to sales fulfilled directly by them (sales fulfilled by 3rd parties on Amazon still carry tax IF they are in your state) because they have no physical presence in CA, however, through a deal made last year between CA and Amazon, we will have to start paying sales tax on ALL Amazon purchases, regardless of whether it's coming directly from them or from a 3rd party. If you want sales tax free online stuff in CA after September, you'll have to go with somebody like B&H, JR or Adorama, who are all located in New York City.
Dose any one know where I can Buy a AC Charger for the TF700 in Canada? It's like ASUS doesn't think we will ever need a new one. It has to be located in Canada every time I order something from the USA I get dinged BIG time like $25-$40 even if the item costs $10 I'm not willing to pay $80 for a charger, just want one from a company in Canada so I don't get dinged for Handling Fees and Duty...
Thanks!
I just ordered one on eBay from a seller who was located in Hong Kong; it came via EMS and Canada Post and I didn't pay anything duty wise.
What you are describing are not duties, they are "importation/brokerage fees" and likely you are having your items sent up here via UPS or Fedex who charge an arm and a leg. When ordering from the US, have the seller ship via USPS to avoid brokerage fees.

Found this with an eBay search and filtered for Canada only:
HERE
Thanks for the replays!
I found this site:

I don't like buying from sketchy people/suppliers but at least they have been around for a wile.
I'll let you know how if goes...
The charger came yesterday although it was shipped in a bag in a unpaded mail bag... it arrived ok and seems to work fine. Ended up costing me $21 after tax+shipping so not bad. At least now if one brakes I'm not screwed

Have any of you managed to buy a Qi charger for the Nexus 4 (aside from the official one - doesn't work with my Ballistic case) that's actually available in Canada?
I've heard good things about the WCP-300 but it's not available here. Even the Nokia chargers that don't work with the N4 aren't available in Canada. Is there something about Canadian law that prevents them from selling them here (RF interference or something)? It's really frustrating.
I don't want to end up paying $30 shipping and duty on a $50 item! Argh.

I haven't found any one in Vancouver... This weekend im going to Seattle and will be picking up the wcp 300 and hopefully a chromecast

As a follow-up, I ended up buying two WCP-300s from a Verizon store in Las Vegas while I was there on vacation. Still no luck getting them in Canada.
Best Buy in Vegas was out of Chromecasts too
As the title really, are we expected to see the forge tv in the UK? If so, How much you think it'll be? £99?
I'm so tempted to get it ordered from Razor US, sent to a shipping company who would forward it on to me in the UK - Comes with google play store on aswell, root is probably fairly likely. Would maybe work out no more than £140 after shipping and fees too.
I'd probably buy two (roughly same shipping cost I'd imagine) and put the spare on eBay to recoup some of my cost in fairness. Either way, has anyone used any services such as the above and can you recommend any?
Thanks

FTR, I've ordered two units from Razer. Getting shipped to an american company. It will then be sent to me in the UK. I will likely stick one on eBay and keep the other (then selling my Fire TV). Should hopefully end up upgrading at no cost by the time the other is sold.
Will be much better over the Fire TV.
